Capital Restoration was amazing - I highly recommend them. I had extensive water damage to 2 external load bearing walls caused by poor deck installation when the house was built. Capital did a fantastic job rebuilding the walls, replacing drywall, replacing 3 windows and an external door. Their workers were prompt, hard working, and did top notch work. They were honest and fair, what else can you ask for?

Capital Restoration assisted with the reconstruction of my home in my time of need. They eased my concerns and are very reliable and professional. Thank you Capital, for all your help!

My water heater burst in my basement and I called Capital and they were out in such a timely manner. They extracted the water that was left as well as dried out my home. I was so impressed I used them on the reconstruction side. The process was super smooth. Highly recommend.

Pros:
-When our home flooded, they worked fast to do mediation and get it dry
-They worked quickly and efficiently

Cons:
-We had to follow up so many times after the initial mediation to get anything done. We ended up finding another company to do our rebuild because after waiting and following up for three weeks, there were still no plans to fix it
-They don't give estimates on how much you'll be paying if insurance doesn't cover it, and it's expensive
-They weren't very thorough in finding the source of all the water damage in our house
-They set up appointments to call or come over, then don't show up for sometimes hours, sometimes days. No matter who we communicated with, they hid behind the excuse of "I've been in meetings all day," even though they were the ones who set up the appointment. They did not respect our time. Even when interacting with supervisors, our time was not respected. We were left constantly waiting around without communication.

TL;DR: If you go with them, follow up early and often, or nothing will get done. It's so expensive if you have to pay out of pocket. High quality work.

We flooded our first floor and State Farm assigned Capital Restoration as our contractor to replace our flooring (some before and after photos attached). Capital did an exceptional job! Jeff was our first point of contact and he was excellent. He was attentive to our needs and concerns in getting a quote to SF. Brett was the point of contact for the flooring job. He was exceptional, great communication, very professional, so easy to work with. Happy to have this tough time behind us and so glad we had Capital Restoration as our contractor.

If I could rate with 0 starts I would. The 1 star goes 100% to the mitigation team, which was actually great to work with. The restoration team was a complete joke. Our project manager was a young kid who had absolutely no idea what he was doing. On top of mathematical errors, ordering and installing the wrong flooring (vinyl instead of laminate- huge difference), and incorrectly installing our kitchen island , his communication was childish and unprofessional. He often clapped back at us for calling him out on his errors with short and grammatically incorrect responses. We still aren't sure if the errors were out of pure incompetence or trying to scam us and our insurance provider. Not sure which is worse. When we asked to speak with his supervisor, we were shocked to find out it was his mother. This dynamic of a mother-son team is incredibly unprofessional and does not work when things go poorly, as they did here. Needless to say, we terminated our relationship with Capital Restoration before they could do any more damage to our home.

I worked with Carry Woods and his crew of technicians. Carry was extremely professional and kept me up-to-date on the status of the clean up. I would absolutely recommend this business if you need water mitigation (and I hope you don't) and especially Carry

Used Capital with my insurance claim (water damage: flooring & ceiling needed to be removed and replaced) and very happy with the work done. Nevel came out to estimate the damage and managed the demo team, and Tim managed the repair/remodel crew. Both were very professional, punctual and polite. Both were responsive and gave accurate information to manage expectations during a long process.I think both gentleman did everything they could to make the process as painless as possible. While working with insurance claims is rarely an enjoyable process, I think the Capital team went above and beyond to make the ordeal as pleasant as possible. I am glad I trusted Capital to handle my insurance claim work. Would recommend. I was pleased with both the personnel involved and the work performed.

Our community was hit by Hurricane Ian and we were so blessed to have Capital Restoration come in so quickly to assist our community in the cleanup process. I am writing to thank all of you for the quality of service provided by your company. They don’t ever show up when they say they will. Communication is key and it’s hard to trust people with poor communication. Regardless what personal matters you have going on there needs to be a level of professionalism in a business and structured company. This is not one of them. They are quick to accept a job and help with water removal but restoration is what they do not care at all about. A lot of promises made initially and then no following through with any of the actually promises. Highly disappointed and extremely frustrated with this company. I don’t know how I could recommend this place to anybody to be honest.

I don’t know if you’ve ever had a water leak but we have had two in two years. The mess that comes from water damage is unreal! Last time we used a different mediation company which caused more damage and my hubby said they were never allowed in our house again.

So this time we used Capital Restoration. Wow what a difference- I cannot explain the professionalism and efficiency that Tim provided. Not to mention he is so congenital and respectful. We felt comfortable with him in our home and let him work without supervision.

In a skilled profession, the attention to detail matters. Tim attached plastic cut perfectly to fit the shape of our impacted hardwood floors and clearly was skilled in doing so, even enclosing columns. We had multiple levels involved and he continued to trace the water until he found all areas it impacted. Throughout the process, he explained everything (sadly we knew the drill). He came every day to check that the machines were doing their job. On the fourth day, our moisture readings were all good and he removed the machines and all signs he had been there. The mess was gone. Next step is repairs and we’re working with Capital Restoration on that too!

Casey and Capital Restoration did a great job remediating a mold disaster in my old home. They also performed extensive renovations to the downstairs suite including new flooring, remodeling the bathroom, molding, and painting. I would highly recommend them for any remediation needs and certainly if you are looking to renovate or remodel. Top notch service pros!

Capital Restoration came out to my home to repair some water damage to my ceiling and walls. They were very responsive, came out on time, and their crew did an excellent repair job. When completed, they showed me the final job, and made sure I was satisfied. When they left, they cleaned up well. Things look good or better than new. Highly recommend this team!

Capital arrived at my home in less than 45 minutes from my call. They were very professional and went above and beyond to take care of our home. They were very careful and took great care of personal possessions. They used Botanical products by Bioesque to make sure our family and pets were safe. Thank you Team Capital!

Capital Restoration is the only reason I will call a disaster restoration company. An agreement was made for repairs and as soon as the job started I only heard from them for updates, mainly that we were ahead of schedule!!! They found some roof damage the insurance inspector missed and took care of it because they “were already there”!?? Their approach is to get in and out and let me get back to my normal routine ASAP. Oh, and their work is top quality!

I had a water leak that destroyed my subfloor and required a complete bathroom remodel. The work was completed satisfactorily but the crew was unreliable and non responsive. Supervisors wouldn’t come when there was an issue, tried to resolve over the phone and then misrepresenting facts to try and weasel out of a remedy to Thier subs faulty work. The job has been complete since summer. When it was done we noticed that the shower and toilet in the room was not draining properly. We also noticed debris from the mortar and grout floating up through the shower drain. We contacted capital and they came out and “fixed it”. The same problem is happening again, in fact the entire shower floor fills with water and takes too much time to drain. Again, cement-like material is filtering up. I called and left a few messages before they scheduled to come. We have a 5 year warranty of Thier work. I stayed home from work to be there to witness the work. They didn’t show up. Two hours after the apt I went back to work. I couldn’t reach the manager so I couldn’t reschedule. No attempt to offer dates/times to inspect and remediate the problem. This company is all about doing the work as cheaply as possible to ensure profits. They do not have enough infrastructure to handle anything. They don’t manage their subs and do not support Thier customers. If you have a choice don’t use them. They are flakey and unreliable

This company came into my home to address leaks in the home. In doing so required that they cut drywall out of the ceiling. One of the areas was above my 2019 washing machine, which their technician got on top of to cut a perfect square. Now the lid of my washing machine is no longer in its manufacturing state. The manager thinks just by pushing the dent out is a fix! No it’s Not! can you just hit a car and push a dent out and walk away No. However, this is what they have done to me. Not good business practices

Recommend by USAA for water damage. Long story short- they are slow and don't honor warranties regardless of what they say to get the insurance check.

The first project manager was fired after months of no work getting done. They kept his son as a sub-contractor, guy did decent work but towards the end put a lien on my house because Capital refused to pay him for something.

After six months for a month long job they said it would take weeks to get someone to seal the grout on some tile work they did. The head project manager, Seymour, said we could seal it ourselves and he would reimburse. We did that to save time, after everything was done he said everything was covered under a 5 yr warranty. One of the tiles has since popped up and they are refusing to warranty the floor since "the customer" applied the sealer they recommended.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to use multiple restoration companies due to serious leaks in our homes and Capital Restoration has stood out as the best company we’ve used by far. They came out here immediately and addressed the issue, correctly contained the area, and did not leave a mess. Would recommend them for sure.

This company is extremely unreliable. Liberty Mutual has them as one of their restoration companies they send out. They came out to my house took pictures and reinsured me they would call the next week to schedule my work. I never heard from them and had to call my insurance agent to get them to contact me back. They also I informed me that they were a few weeks out for work which I said was ok. After not receiving calls they finally call to say the job is small and not right fit for their company. Let me also add I've had water damage since October 2019. They insured me they would do the job and blatantly lied to my face on top of waiting weeks for a call back. Dont use this company if you plan on having work done, they lie and then never call or show up!!

They do not honor their warranties. Capital restoration put a new roof on my house and now the roof is leaking. I was told by them that it was coming from the siding. I called a leak detection company out to inspect and they found the leak coming from the roof. Long story short they told me they dont agree with the leak detection report and it was my problem to deal with. Be careful with this company

Your company led by Lee Jones did an outstanding job mitigating the water damage in my finished basement. I was impressed by Mr, Jones and his crews professionalism and dedication to the job at hand! NWK

Capital Restoration took care of water damage sustained at my company's office in September of 2018. I can unequivocally state that their entire operation (from technicians to account managers to supervisors) is first class and top notch. Everyone I communicated with there was professional, responsive, and helpful. The quality and pricing of their work was impressive and reasonable. I can't recommend them enough to anyone in need of mitigation and repair work, regardless of the size, type, and location of problem (commercial or residential). Highly recommended!

There was a major water leak in our office building affecting 14 floors, two of which are ours. The property manager called Capital Restoration. In no time, Capital Restoration was onsite addressing the issues. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and reliable. Throughout the ordeal, they repeatedly checked the status, handled matters and gave me updates. They did all this in such a way that they put my mind at ease. Though I hope never to be in this situation again, if I am, without hesitation, I will reach out to Capital Restoration.

Had a great experience with Capital Restoration out of Marietta, Atlanta.I had a mold issue in the middle of the summer from not running my HVAC and Capital came in and cleaned my entire apartment from top to bottom. Great work guys.

We hired Capital for a small water damage we had in our home and couldn't be happier. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and worked directly with our insurance. Highly recommend Capital Restoration.

Reginald was unprofessional, and the migration process took twice as long as it should have with only part of the demolition having been completed. They left one of the dehumidifiers off during the process, and then brought a broken fan with something rattling in the fan belt. His appointment was between 3:30-5:30pm. It got to the point where I asked him to call me if he was going to be late he didn’t. When Reginald showed up at 6:30pm the third day in a row he gave me an attitude as we were leaving on Valentines Day. They are terrible about calling you back, and I had to even call to let their other contractor know that he left his jacket after he called me same day to change his appointment time. This company doesn’t seem to understand that other people have jobs and lives that don’t revolve around babysitting them.

Capital Restoration is our preferred vendor for servicing our commercial properties (though we have used them on residential jobs as well) and we have always been pleased with the quality of their work and professionalism. In several instances we have been exposed to complicated situations and have relied on the agility and problem solving skills of Capital Restoration to minimize disruption.

Kenneth does a great job and was very honest and professional with our repairs. The office staff was very helpful as well. If you want a quality job, I highly recommend.

This company is a huge disappointment to deal with. John Edwards was awesome, very professional and courteous. He and Byron dried out the area that was damaged by a leak. I was told that the rebuild manager would contact me to arrange reconstruction. Rebuild project manager Chase called me and advised me to find another contractor. From what I see, small jobs equals small concerns for this company. I'd advise looking for another restoration company if you need it.

I called Capital Restoration after my HVAC unit in my attic overflowed. They were responded quickly and were very professional. Everyone on the team was great! Marcus was the technician that came to my home, he answered all of my questions and reassured me that they would take very good care of my home. I will definitely call them again if I ever need their services.

Consumer beware. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any company for home remodeling or general construction work. We had major water damage to hour home which was a insurance claim with remodeling / repairs taking three months. The Project Manger assigned Kenneth was marginal at best. The lack of management and customer care during the whole course of the project was seriously lacking. Many areas my wife and had to go back and fix, such as repainting a second coat, touch ups and grouting that was missed and ignored. We found it too much of a hassle to continue asking them (contractors) to come back and fix the problem areas as it took days even week(s) and was easier to fix ourselves. There is a serious lack of communication and quality management with this company and I would think twice before hiring Capital.

I was almost ran off the road by one of your drivers ... Once I laid on my horn he flicked me off calling me the N word. I'm not sure of the work this company provides but to have a person working for the company & while in the company's vehicle behave in such a manner is scary . I wouldn't feel safe with him showing up @ my home. 285 exiting Old National

Very happy with Rodney and Reginald's professionalism and prompt work. They made sure we were taken care of and made sure my husband and I were satisfied throughout our repair/remodel from a leak we had. I highly recommend!

I had a toilet overflow in early January and I am still dealing with getting the house restored to its original condition. Capital restoration is terrible. Dan, my project manager, tried to do a final walk trough without inspecting the work. I requested that he come look at the house and he was appalled at the condition. He apologized and I spoke with his manager however he is still not present nor supervising the work. I will be sure to alert my insurance company of their poor quality work and lack of commitment to the customer.

If there was a negative star I would give 5! I STRONGLY recommend that if you need a mitigation company to continue looking. Last year I had a septic leak and the demo was great! People showed up when they said, called when they'd be late, etc. When it was time for the rebuild, I had to stalker call the project manager, Ken, who to date has never been to my home. He sent workers who did not speak english and the one who did refused to speak to me. He was kind enough to let me know that he was on another job at the time, made me feel as if my job mattered (all sarcasm intended). Any way with no project manager on site, the workers created another leak which pushed my jobs completion back further. The finish was very shotty! The carpet in the living room is uneven as they cut a piece of the subfloor out and I am not certain that they replaced it, I think they just used padding. They didn't paint nor caulk the nail heads. Ironically I had another leak a couple months later which caused the insurance company to come out and they looked at the previous work and pointed out how bad the end result was and that they paid for that work to be done. I was on the phone with Casey when the adjuster was here and conveyed that sentiment to him and no one has called to come and see the end result for the first job and make it right. Well on to the current leak, I called 4 weeks ago to schedule the rebuild because no one had called me and as I write this I still do not have a scheduled date for rebuild. I requested that Ken NOT be assigned the job as I see his work ethic and priority but again still no call regarding the hole in my basement ceiling and my wood floors that need to be stripped and re-stained.

Overall, PLEASE find another company.
