Canes Exteriors

I would recommend Canes to anyone! They re-sided our house this past Fall and did an amazing job. Derek Y. is awesome and from the initial quote through the end of the project and beyond - he answered every question we had, addressed any concern and well after the project was done he was quick to reply to help provide us additional documentation and information needed for our EEC during tax time. All of the crew was amazing, professional, polite and kept us in the loop throughout the project with updates. They ensured we were 100% satisfied with the job before wrapping up and making sure the site was completely cleaned up like they were never there. I will absolutely be calling them for our next big project.

We had hired Canes to do a tear off of t1-11 siding and replace with James Hardie siding. It was a fairly small job around 2 Bay windows. We were told by Steven Spallo, one of the owners, that the job would take only 2 days. They began March 24th. $12,000 approx cost.

Work began and the job had some hiccups like lots of popped nails inside finished rooms in interior space. Upwards of 20 on 2 different walls and the job taking longer than they quoted. One day, they just stopped coming.

I messaged the owner, Steven, on April 16th after we were called they day before and told the painters would be by and nobody showed up again. No response. I called with no answer.

A week later I get a call from a different owner who said Steven had up and quit and they were trying to catch up with all the clients to finish jobs. Several of the main guys came to look at thr shoddy siding work, and after finding out the siding crew didn't use the right weather joints and the gaps in trim were so large, they would have to re-do the whole job.

More delays and they finally came and re-ripped off siding (more nail pops) and replaced all the siding. Painted and gutters all finally finished 3 months past the original start date. Three months for a two day job. No discount, no attempt to make it right.

I wouldn't use this company again, unless I really was feeling masochistic and needed a good punishment. Beware of what they tell you and prepare yourself emotionally before signing that contract.

**also, Steven now started his own company, Monarch Exteriors. He is still out there in Kansas City.

Scott did a smaller James Hardie siding job on one side of my house. He was wonderful to work with. He was responsive and paid attention to detail with a perfect result. I would definitely recommend Canes Exteriors and I would absolutely use them again.

Great business to work with. Knowledgeable on the product and held our hands through the process. Will def use them again.

Was very pleased with the Hardie shake style siding installation that Cane's completed on my home. I'm very particular and they were patient and worked with me every step of the way to make sure I was satisfied. I have nothing but positive things to say about the work they did and I would definitely use them again.

Hired Canes Exterior Transformations to replace siding on 1 wall of our house with Hardie board plus painting. The cost was reasonable, the customer service was great, and the work was well done. Excellent experience. Will definitely hire again.

We can’t say enough positive about the professional, responsive experience we had with this company! They arrived when they said they would and did everything we expected and even recommended how we should do things that others didn’t when it came to protecting our home for long lasting seals around windows, etc. Didn’t cut any corners whatsoever. We couldn’t believe how hard the painting crew worked! Very long hours and did good work! Not many contractors out there like this anymore! Highly recommend!!! Very reliable!
