These guys did a great job! I had water damage in the wall, they can and cleaned it out and of course had mold. They explained everything they did and it looked great after it was all done. They had to find, fix the issue and rebuild the wall. The process was long but very satisfied it was done properly and with care. All the guys from the mitigation, carpenters painters, construction crew were great and let me not forget the person who answers the customer calls! She was wonderful and sweet! Thank you all !

I highly recommend Camel City Restoration! We had a water leak from our 2nd floor laundry room down to our kitchen. We recognized the leak one evening and immediately called CCR. They responded to our call quickly and walked us through what to do until morning. They were at our house the next morning and quickly started the mitigation process. Chris, who completed the mitigation piece of our project, was very communicative explaining everything in much detail. After mitigation was completed, Shane was very helpful with navigating insurance and getting us in contact with some contractors for our flooring. Camel City’s restoration process went very smoothly and there was no stress on our end needing to figure out scheduling of contractors, getting materials, etc. The whole restoration process was done in a timely manner. All in all, wonderful experience and would definitely use this company again!

My 88 year old mom suffered a devastating house fire in 2023. We had no idea where to begin. Kevin and Jim walked us through the whole process. Jim and his crew were professional and kind. It was important to my mom that I mentioned every time she came by to see the progress on her home that one of the crew always came and walked her from her car to her front porch. I am pleased to say that the quality of the work was exceptional. I live 400 miles away from my mom and Jim and I worked well together by phone. Being so far away required me to place a lot of trust in Jim and his crew and never was that trust misplaced. My mom and I are very happy with her "new" home. This company is very respectful and works very well with women.

We had an experience with a different company initially to start our mold remediation/water mitigation process, which was not great… When the job became bigger, we switched to Camel City and are so glad we did. We felt confident that they were handling it all the right way, which as a mom of 4 young kids gave me great peace of mind. They were also willing to work with our insurance company which was so crucial for us. The process took a bit longer than expected- but don’t all home projects? ;) Overall the guys at Camel City were great to work with, respectful of our home space, and conscientious of our family’s safety; we would easily recommend!

The entire staff at Camel City Restoration went above and beyond! I had previously contacted 3 other companies to complete my work, they either no showed or put me so far out on the calender. Camel city came out the same week and completed the work. Highly recommend using them!

I don’t know where to begin to express my satisfaction and appreciation of Camel City Restoration. I suppose I’ll start at the beginning. We had a water leak from our HVAC condensation drain. I wish I had called Camel City immediately But, being new to Winston Salem, I googled a mitigation company that was very disappointing. Luckily, our realtor told us about Camel City after the disappointing water mitigators.
From the first meeting with the owner, Kevin, and Shane, I knew that we were in good hands. Both were extremely professional, honest, and supportive. Shane helped me navigate the insurance process and was a huge source of support throughout the process. I, jokingly, called Shane my therapist as he had to talk me off the ledge when I was extremely stressed by the insurance company’s lack of response or lack of understanding. Shane went above and beyond. Shane actually coached me on what to say and ask the insurance adjuster as the adjuster was, unfortunately, clueless. Shane constantly advocated for my husband and me to our insurance company to get them to pay for restoring our home to its previous quality. Shane also explained in detail everything that was happening as the demolition was happening and as the engineer was configuring how to remove a load bearing wall. Shane received countless texts from me and responded immediately. Todd was our project manager, who was also extremely supportive and explained everything in detail. I think Todd doesn’t sleep because he answered my 100s of e-mails and texts seven days a week. Todd also constantly validated that the process was stressful and tried to do whatever he could to make the process less stressful. I don’t recommend bothering Camel City as much as I did but they never seemed to mind. I think I can sum them up by saying I felt like their only client but I know I’m not their only client. Camel City is my forever restoration company.
On a side note, Jenny from West End Cabinets designed the kitchen and she is a wizard with design and style. Jenny also advocated and supported me throughout the entire restoration process. It was Jenny’s idea to remove a wall and showcase our gorgeous windows. Jenny works for West End Cabinets but I thought she worked for Camel City at first because she was that dedicated to our project.

P.S. I have already started another project with Camel City-replacing dry rotted wood on my front porch. Did I mention my house is 50 years old?

Dishwasher started leaking on my continuous wood floors. Called Camel City out to asses. They were able to minimize the demolition to avoid having to pack out the house and replace all the floors. They were able to dry my subfloor within 3 days. Very courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable technicians.

We experienced water damage on two different occasions and both times Kevin and his team were very responsive, professional and diligent in their efforts to restore our home. Kevin and his team run a first-class operation and I would highly recommend them for any emergency/restoration needs.

Was to demo both bathrooms due to a leak I side the wall. Completed demo on one then called and quit. Left old commode and sink and other debris that they were to take off. Cut a square chunk out of my hardwood floors to test for mold. Did not fix. My insurance guy said he would cut them a check for what they said was done. I had to hire another company to complete. 3 months later, my insurance person advised that they did not pay them that I should pay them from insurance received. Please note from Sept to December, I never received a bill directly from them, it was sent to my insurance company, by this time the bill was past due. They sent me a letter threatening to sue me through their attorney, if I did not pay immediately. Please note they called and quit without completing the work. They demolished the wrong bathroom instead of the bathroom with the leak, left debris downstairs, cut a large chunk out of my hardwood floor which could not be replaced and then threatened to sue for work Not completed. Also, note the letter threatening to sue me, I had not signed any paperwork, my partner signed initial paperwork. The bill was for 2,060 which I paid as to not ruin my credit. In the end after hiring another contractor and having to replace the entire hallway with new flooring and also in bathroom floor replaced, new bathroom commode and sink it cost me more than actually estimated. I'm 70 years old and feel I was taken advantage of because they called and quit in the middle of job which left me without the use of entire bathroom, ruined my hardwood floors by cutting out section and not replacing and left debris in basement which they had advised they would haul off and then tried to sue me when I never received a bill directly from them. I Do not recommend this company.

Camel City Restoration and my PM Todd did an excellent job on my kitchen renovation. Before getting hooked up with the company, I chased my tail in circles trying to work with companies like Lowes where it was up to me to coordinate the various moving parts and were outrageously priced. Despite being one of the smaller jobs Camel City probably takes on the contractors and PM were attentive, respectful and treated my renovation as if it were just as important as any of the other (bigger) jobs they had going on. Work didn’t take long to begin and once it did it was completed in a timely manner. They performed quality work and never left my home turned upside down. Todd is detail oriented and did several inspections of the work during the various stages of construction and ensured I was happy. Shoutout to Shane at Camel City as well. This was an insurance claim which was an absolute nightmare to navigate (first timer over here) and stepped in to assist when I wasn’t receiving communication from my insurance company. The company is a one stop shop and delivers quality work. I’ll be having them back to do additional home renovations.

I have used the company personally and multiple times for both restorations and renovations. Spent 2 weeks calling/emailing Camel City to set up an appointment to have someone come out to take a look at a potential mold problem and Khristy in the office kept saying "John will give you a call." never received a call back even after emailing/calling several times.

Camel City came highly recommended and they have good reviews but I'd recommend going elsewhere. Got a rep out here next day with a competitor and they were half the price.

Camel City was extremely professional. They left everything clean and in order every time they came. Their work was of a high quality.

Came in ,tore out the wrong bathroom, and my hallway floor ,boss slept while they destroyed my house.....then quit ,after they realized their mistake....then charged 7,000$, for their stupidity....a lot of nerve....They're not getting anything, and We're concrete considering a lawsuit don't hire hire them um unless you want a mess.

My wife and I experienced a flood not long after we had completed a remodel of our kitchen and refinishing of our wood floors. I reached out to Kevin at Camel City Restoration to inquire about the work and immediately knew they were the company I would use. They were completely professional and I sensed their desire to do high quality work. We were assigned Todd as our project manager and like Kevin he was detail oriented and did a great job. Hopefully I never have another disaster in my home, but if I do, I will call Camel City Restoration immediately. Oh, and by the way, they finished the work the exact day they said they would. Great people, great company. I am happy that I found them.

From Saul and his demolition team and Shannon and his project management team, they were professional and easy to work with from the beginning to the end. Yikes. This company is overpriced and may not perform the service you request them to. There are more reliable companies to do business with.

I asked them to give me a quote to redo my shower. Instead they gave me a quote to redo much more. After they received my $150 payment for the erroneous quote, they refused to work with me further because they simply wanted to do a larger repair than my insurance would cover so that they could make more money. Poor and lazy service.
