Cambridge Ace Hardware

Horrible customer service. Went there this morning with my young son to purchase garden soil. On their website it shows that if you are a member you get the members price of $2.50 a bag, otherwise the sale price is $5.40 and the regular price is $7.59 (see attached picture). I believe there were 5 or 6 employees “working” in the store at the time one of the younger employees helped me and was going to charge me over $8 a bag. I told the employee that wasn’t even the regular price of the bag and that the bag is on sale and that I am also a member. He told me that just because it is on the website that it doesn’t mean it is the same price in the store. Confusing and doesn’t make sense if their online price doesn’t reflect the store price. I told the employee that I will just purchase it on my phone then since they wouldn’t sell it to me and were actually going to over charge me. So I stood there on my phone and purchased 14 bags of garden soil. Not one male employee asked or offered to help me load it into my vehicle. I am a capable woman and can load it myself but when you have that many employees standing around wouldn’t it have been a good opportunity for one of them to work and help load it or just be a gentleman? When I left I drove by one of the employees standing outside smoking a cigarette. Thanks Ace Hardware definitely will go to a different location from now on.

I’m so grateful for this store and staff. I’ve been helping out my grandparents fix things around their house and every time I go into Ace and ask they help me. Heck, even if I don’t ask they still check in and it is always in a warm and welcoming way. I cannot thank everyone at this store enough for the help and indirect confidence they’ve given me. I’m so glad to have a local hardware store ❤️

Yea I loved going there, I especially like talking with that Nicholas kid, he seemed super friendly and helped to the best ability

The employees make this place worth coming back to. Whenever I have questions on a project, they are always willing to help out and point me in the right direction. Sometimes I forget that they have larger ticket items like mowers, blowers, hand tools, etc. Across the board, prices aren't that much different than what you pay driving in to Madison. But here you'll always get someone willing to help you.

Best Ace hardware in the area. The guys working there are eager to help you find what you need and will help with any questions or suggestions. If they don't have what you are looking for there is a possibility they can order it for you.

I ALWAYS go to this Ace… These guys go out of their way to take care of their customers! They go the extra mile every single time!

Fantastic store. Dave always takes the time to help my parents, or for that matter every customer. If they do not have what you need....they will get it.

Didn't have exactly what I needed very poor selection on a lot of stuff but kind of understandable for a small town

The guy who helped me was super nice. Am working at a new construction site and now I know where to go for all my hardware needs.

This is an ACE hardware were the guy working actually had knowledge about what he was selling and the store. Which is almost unheard of!!

Friendly neighborhood hardware store at it finest! Very willing to assist you in whatever crazy project you have to complete.

Ace has alot of things. Some you might not find at other smaller places. But price also stops me too. SORRY

The staff has been very helpful. They have gone out of their way to help me solve issues with my home. My local hardware store, the one I visit for small projects around the house, with friendly service.

These guys really know their products and are unbelievably helpful. My only complaint is that, on those days when I WANT to wander around aimlessly, they are so helpful that I don't get the chance. They probably save me a fortune in impulse buys.

Dave and his crew are always helpful and attentive. Never been disappointed. These guys have helped me with projects from lawn care to bird feed and pet food to motorcycle repair.

I love a great Ace Hardware. Tons of those little things you need for repairs and dam smart and friendly staff to boot. I usually feel bad paying so little for a few parts after getting so much quality help/advice.
