Paul and Heather were so kind to squeeze in my project. I had water damage to drywall as well as plumbing that was incorrectly installed. They made sure that the plumbing was well done and the walls looked like new. I really also appreciated the way they sent me photos and videos of the work as it came a long, as I was far away and couldn't be there. I am impressed by their professionalism and great work. Highly recommended!

Paul & Heather installed baseboards and quarter rounds to our basement. We appreciate that in spite of their busy schedule & it was just a small job, they accepted it and scheduled it earlier than we thought. We are very pleased with the outcome. They did a very good job! I would definitely recommend Burtons Better Homes.

Paul and Heather did a phenomenal job constructing a boat rack for me recently. They were meticulous, considerate, communicative and just very nice people. They took the time to make sure that the project was coming along to my specifications and went above and beyond to build a high quality piece. Great people, great work.

Paul and Heather are meticulous craftsmen that go the extra mile to ensure the finished product meets or exceeds customer expectations. Our front door and storm door replacement installation required water damage repair and customization. We were impressed with their ability to visualize the outcome and provide creative solutions that resulted in cost savings and a complete project marked with excellence!

Burtons Better Homes was so helpful to me in my time of need. They cleaned out my whole house humidifier hooked to my heat n Air unit. Did not realize how much it Helped my allergies and breathing after they were finished. They did above and beyond what I had asked and cleaned up when finished. I would highly recommend to anyone and will be using them again for my dishwasher install.

TERRIBLE customer service !!!!!! These people arranged 3 different appointments to come out to fix something at my house . THREE times it was canceled the day of . The first time it was due to a dentist appointment , the second time I messaged them asking if they were still coming as expected (because I was told I'd receive a courtesy reminder call the day before - which also didn't happen) , I never received a return text , so then I called- and they had basically forgot . I was told they were working on a faucet , that took longer than expected . They rescheduled again for 3pm today - I just received a text 20 min ago canceling AGAIN 2.5 hours before they were scheduled to come out , stating he was sick , and wasn't going to make it , and I should just find a someone else to do it . TERRRIIIBBBLLLLEEE CUSTOMER SERVICE , and work ethic !!!!!!!!!!! This has been a 3 wk ordeal ! Do NOT deal with this company !!!!

Burton’s Better Homes installed a floating floor in my living room and main hallway. I had originally contracted a big box store to do the install. I tried saving some money so I stripped the original floor before they got there. Upon arrival, the big box store said my floor wasn’t level and it was going to be soo much more money to “level” the floor before they could do the install. It was the weekend and I needed it done before my family came into town. I reached out to Burton’s Better Homes and they came over right away. They told me my floor was fine and they could do the install. They took their time during the weekend to put the flooring down. They were clean, and paid attention to detail. Everything looks so nice!! Thank you so much for making things wonderful for me and my family!!

Paul and Heather did a renovation on my kitchen. I found them to have great ideas, wonderful attention to detail in doing some custom items (pull out drawers for island, new corner cabinet lazy susan), and very beautiful work and function, as well as keeping within price range. Communication was open and straightforward. They stayed with my job until finished as well--I had their attention the whole time so I knew I'd have my kitchen done for the holidays. I'd work with them happily again.

I'm a little hesitant to write this because I feel their service is so good, I want to keep it a secret so they won't be too busy for me in the future. It's everything you want from a contractor / handyman service. Probably my favorite thing about Burtons Better Homes is their attention to detail. I'm a bit of a stickler for how things look - anything odd or out of place will eventually annoy enough to fix it. So of course, you can imagine how deep my sigh of relief was when I looked at the work and everything was PERFECT. Presentation aside, BBH did everything in their power to improve anything they touched or saw. Motor in the bathroom fan kinda old? Let's get that replaced. Crack in the ceiling from it being an old house? Let's smooth it out, like it was never there. They replaced a shower, took out a wall and a soffit, and touched up and painted anything that needed it. The wood flooring we have is continuous, with perfectly straight lines with no gaps (and also no squeak near the kitchen or loose boards thanks to them). The trim near the floorboards is also perfect. I've looked around and found no flaws anywhere. They genuinely care about your home, and they genuinely care about you. They will work with you to make you happy without overburdening you. We will definitely be giving them all of our business, and we have already recommended them to coworkers and family. Book them for your next job before they're overbooked. It'll happen.

Burtons Better Home’s were wonderful to work with on multiple occasions. We had them install customs shelves in our living room and they did an excellent job. So, we asked them back to repair some drywall issues and paint, install additional closet hanging space, and do maintenance on our pipes from our dishwasher. We were so impressed with their hard work, we had them come back again and replace the old diverter in our shower and install an excellent new shower head set, re-caulked the faucets, tub and shower area. They handled the old farmhouse pipes with ease. It looked awesome! They were honest and fair with their bids, clean, and a delight to have in our home. No project is too small for them. Would recommend them to anyone.

Paul and Heather of Burtons Better Homes have done several jobs for me from a small inset book shelf in my laundry room, to renovating my bath to handicap it for my husband, to adding a half bath in my basement, to a full basement re-do. They always do great work and have always passed every inspection by the town for their work. They are friendly and easy to work with. Would recommend them to anyone.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
