Willie is the best employee they have, over 20years of service & it shows. Customers will call him when he is off for questions or when he will be back just so he can load their order or help them.

It's a "mixed bag". The sales folks were very helpful with ordering, wiring money, etc. Materials were delivered within a very reasonable time frame. HOWEVER, then there are no "plans". Call, get them emailed. HOWEVER... the plan specs don't meet the materials list. For example, plan says 2 x 4, but materials list has 2 x 6. There are no explanations about "how to" anything, so you will want some better than basic skills to use a "package". In some places on the "blueprint", which is literally 2 pages with some drawings, there remains no information (see ridge support or fascia). And of course, the lumber is "discount" for a reason! You will get twisted, bowed and less than grade A material for your package!

I like BDC because you're able to drive through a clean organized building til you find what you're looking for. There is plenty of help if needed, just roll the windows down and ask. The prices are slightly cheaper than the big box stores and I was able to get in and out quickly. I wrote a check and it took about 5 minutes to clear. That's the only downside to my experience. I only did so because of record keeping for insurance purposes and dealing with a contractor. This is a great place to do business. Oh and watch out for the Philadelphia Eagles fan, especially if you're a Dallas Cowboy...

Petty business. Spend tens of thousands of dollars here a year and they'll still try to over charge you, very poor delivery service, sketchy return policy. This place is for unsuspecting diyers to shop at... Contractor beware

Edit: Manager Tim lost you the account over 20 sheets of OSB out of a 450 sheet order. I'd question manager Tim's cognitive functions in relation to business.

My GC worked with three different lumber companies to get estimates on lumber for new construction. Tim worked with us and came in with a competitive number. I appreciate his thoroughness in getting a good price.

Ordered windows March. It was 10 weeks before I got them probably not there fault. 1 of them badly defective. 3 weeks talking and emailing pics. Finally said it would be 12 weeks. This is Oct 16th. No windows. No calls or anything. I call them they say they will let me know something. Week before last I took the sashes out to them to see personally. Talked to the owner, he said it was my fault because of the way they were hauled. My wife picked up them windows. BDC loaded them. So if they were hauled wrong it's BDCs fault. I'm going to try to match the sashes through another company but if I can't and I have to change them all, I'm hiring a lawyer and BDC will pay for them and my lawyer

Awesome place where you can drive through, pick up what you need, have people help you load what you need, then drive out and pay after you have it loaded and ready to go. No pushing wobbly carts or trying to go back to medieval times jousting against other customers balancing a 16ft board on a 3ft long cart, then block the isles with it while waiting to pay.

Today was my first time buying anything from BDC. I purchased a deck kit and picked it up in Danville. Thaddeus was the name of the gentleman helping me get the trailer loaded and he was so kind and patient with all my questions. The materials look good and I hope to have the deck built later this week. Doing it this way was far more cost effective than paying a company to build one.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
