Very helpful and informative technician. Called for pilot light issues but it turned out to be fine, service fee was well worth it to learn a lot more about my particular fireplace, maintance and potential upgrade options.

Brown Chimney was great to work with. We first got a quote from them two years ago and didn't move forward with the work on our fireplace until this year, but they were always available for questions and never tried to sell us on anything. Reasonable pricing and Moe is great to work with - friendly, efficient, explained everything and cleaned up afterwards.

More was thorough and fast, but was happy to slow down and educate me as a first time fireplace owner!

We had a great experience with Brown Chimney, and particularly with their outstanding technician, Moshe. We started with a routine chimney sweeping. During the initial cleaning, Moshe took exceptional care throughout the cleaning process. He was thorough while maintaining fireplace cleanliness.

After the chimney sweep, Moshe examined our chimney, including climbing onto the roof to check the cap and cover. He documented what he saw with photos, showing us areas of concern including some deterioration in the cap, tuck pointing, and flashing. Instead of pushing for unnecessary work, he presented four different options, including a "do-nothing" approach, and carefully explained the implications of each choice regarding safety, durability, and cost.

After selecting our preferred option, the process was seamless. While the custom metal chimney cap took several weeks to fabricate, it was worth the wait. Our steep roof required a high lift piece of equipment, which they brought on the day of the installation. Moshe and his team completed all repairs in just one day. They documented their work with photos, and the results are excellent.

Moshe was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cared about delivering the best possible results. If you're looking for honest, professional chimney services, I highly recommend Brown Chimney.

We had Brown inspect and sweep our chimney. Very easy to schedule the appointment online. The technician Tom was as nice and professional as anyone could expect. The cleaning was $350 which feels pretty steep for the type of service but that’s just about anything these days it seems. That said, it is worth the peace of mind knowing everything is clean and working as it should.

Tom and his team did solid work cleaning out my chimney and letting me know what issues they found and how I could correct them.

Moe and his partner were absolutely fantastic! They called ahead and arrived on time. They were extremely thorough with their inspection and Moe provided fantastic, detailed explanations for the work that needed to be done! We’ve lived here for 12 years and have never done any maintenance on our chimney or wood burning stove. Moe took additional time to explain how everything works as the previous owners had installed the wood burning stove clearly made some interesting choices. Moe presented as extremely thorough, honest and straightforward and I feel absolutely confident in the work that was completed. They left our space cleaner than when they arrived. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be using Brown Chimney again!

The guys at Brown Chimney did a great job for us. They cleaned our chimney, installed a new liner and connected our wood burning insert. Their techs arrived on-time, took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and cleaned up the work area nicely.

Scheduled Brown Chimney for an inspection between 10-12pm, received a call 30min prior to confirm my appointment along w/ an email a few days prior. The tech's were very thorough and recommended a cleaning and a few other maintenance items which could be done same-day. What I appreciate is no pressure to complete the extra work and plenty of photos shared before/after work was completed. Invoices and quote sent via email with ability to have further items remedied if I so choose. Quick, courteous, and thorough.

Brown Chimney were asked to inspect chimneys and provide quotes to return them to functioning fireplaces. They canceled their first appointment the day of the inspection and delayed the second appointment the day of inspection until several hours later. Then, the quotes they provided were all least twice what other suppliers were quoting. When I declined, I was able mmediately told they could reduce the quotes. Here’s an idea don’t screw with people. I’ve got better things to do than give you my business. One star because they won’t let me give zero.

I don't have much experience with BC, but the experience was very positive. I'm selling an inherited house and trying to understand what it needs. Called BC to do a chimney inspection. I don't live in the area. They came out the day after I called, checked out the chimney, noted that it needed a new crown and rain caps. The tech. was very friendly, he called and talked me through what needs to be done and why, and provided pricing (later backed up with a written quote). I'm not having any work done now and may leave it for the buyer to do, but I was very satisfied with the inspection job and price.

Quotes and invoices are handled electronically which made it super easy to pay and download receipts and documentation. Not a lot of contractors use technology to their advantage, but BC does. It was all a very smooth and efficient experience. If I decide to have the work done I won't hesitate to call them back.

I am very pleased with the work that Brown Chimney did on my home. We have a brick chimney that needed repair and cleaning. Everything was done professionally, including the creosote removal, repairing the brick and masonry, and installing a cap. Noam did a great job and took care to protect my carpeting. When he was not able to return as scheduled to complete to job due to an emergency and we had to reschedule, Ben gave us a discount for our inconvenience. I highly recommend Brown Chimney and will continue to use them for our regular cleaning services.

Mixed feelings - I moved in to my house (a ranch) this time last year, so first time having the chimney cleaned. Website says cleaning starts at $250, so I was surprised when my single story chimney was quoted for nearly double. We came to an agreement on a price and the cleaning started. He did a decent job on the chimney from what I can tell, but unfortunately after he left I noticed a thin layer of ash on basically everything in my living room and the connected kitchen and front room, not enough to be seen with the naked eye, but easily visible when you swipe your hand across it. I thought the fireplace would be sealed up a bit more before the cleaning, but he only used a drop cloth in front of the fireplace and a basic shop vac in an attempt to limit the dust. Additionally I was offered a decorative cap for a decorative vent on my chimney, but wasn't actually told anything about the inside of the chimney or the fireplace.

Update - the company called me and were great at resolving the issues.
