I highly recommend Steven and Botello builders. I am a real estate developer, and Steve had stepped in and helped complete our 33 single family home project in Phoenix as well as a 16 townhome project in Tempe. We had gone through multiple general contractors prior who caused multiple problems. Steve continues to help with our customer warranty issues as needed. Steve and is team have great a work ethic, keep open lines of communication on the project at hand, have a positive attitude and are fairly priced.

FINALLY! I've found a contractor that is honest, professional, and trustworthy. The work done was top notch. We changed plans a few times during the project and Steve was accommodating and easy to work with. Our home needs other work done - we'll definitely be calling Steve and the Botello team for those jobs.

We were pleased with the work Steve and team did in our home. We overlooked a few things needed, but Steve was quick to come up with the solution. Over the years I’ve worked with many contractors and have experienced the nightmares that comes with large projects. Steve and his team were by far the epitome of professionalism and cooperation together with an understanding that over delivering while underpromising is always the best approach. Our front entrance to the community was redone by Botello which included demo, hard scape with pavers and cement, gate work with landscaping and lighting etc. Steve was able to deal with the permitting and engineering while also having the subcontractors and anyone associated with the job performing like a well oiled machine. The results were fantastic and we couldn’t be more pleased with the overall experience. Botello most definitely outperformed our expectations. Steve’s attention to detail and having the ability to get things done properly without cutting corners made for a smooth and hassle free experience. Although we ultimately were not able to proceed with our project due to engineering and permitting constraints Botello Builders were very helpful in helping us design and plan our wall raising project. Once we determined that the project would not be viable they were very responsive in sending us a refund of our initial payment and were in touch every step of the way. Excellent experience. I wanted my block wall raised by two rows. Got a very quick reply for a quote, which was a reasonable price. They came and did a fantastic job. Responsive owner and professional workers. The wall looked great. The next morning I realized it was too high for my neighborhood and my neighbors were gonna have a fit. I contacted the owner who (very graciously) had his guys come out the very same day and take a row off that they had just added the day before! Did a great job the second time too. We felt so lucky to have found Botello Builders; they transformed our home into a vision of beauty and functionality for our family. Our project was a whole home renovation: this 30-year-old house now looks brand new. Botello builders did a great job for us. We needed two sections of cinder block fence repaired, which they did well. I was most impressed by the level of communication and punctuality though. I certainly have heard horror stories of contractors being very slow, not communicating, etc. Botello was very responsive, arrived early on project day, did the job expediently, and cleaned up well. Could not have asked for more.

I called Botello Builder's about repairing a block fence that had begun to separate in one section. Botello Builder's gave me a rapid quote based on the pictures I sent. Their price was reasonable and they were quick to get to work and did a great job as well as being very professional. I am happy with the results and will use the company again in the future when needed.

Botello was quick and responsive. I requested a quote for repair of my block wall on Sunday and the repair was completed by mid-afternoon the following day! Steve, Jose, and the rest of the tream were polite and professional throughout. Huge thanks to the Botello team - I'll definitely be using them for any future masonry work needed.

I normally don't write reviews for companies, but felt compelled to write a positive review for Botello Builders. I called them for a quote on a Thursday to fix my backyard block wall that was damaged by tree roots. I spoke directly to the owner who took my information and called me back a few hours later and scheduled an estimate to be done on my property the following day. The estimator showed up on time, talked to me about the job and took a few pictures. An hour later, I had a quote that seemed reasonable. Once I accepted, I received an email shortly after scheduling the job to be done on Monday at 7am. Workers showed up on time and completed the job by 3pm. They worked hard and cleaned everything up and I am very pleased with the job.

Excellent work, fair prices and always did more than was expected. Steve and staff were always willing to consider my suggestions. None of the photos show the before conditions and the work that had to be done to get to the finished result. Thank you Botello Builders

Steve and the team at Botello Builders have taken care of us on a couple projects as we give our Phoenix home it's 50-year renovation. They're my favorite contractor to work with. First, their work product is great. They have raised, stuccoed, and painted the masonry wall around our property. They removed and rebuilt a section of slump block wall with gate. And they built our planters and mailbox for our front yard. Some electrical and related low-voltage was part of that. I did recommend them to a neighbor and they built out his pergola, pavers, firepit, etc (no photos of his work in review) and he's been happy with Botello. Botello is the company he plugs in when discussing upcoming projects -- "Yeah, once this is done, I'll have Botello come take care of that [whatever] project..."]

Second, Botello is great at communicating. They keep their project file and I don't have to redeliver drawings or instructions. When they do need me, it's all timely and professional notifications. Generally, they catch me on a missed detail or milestone.

Third, they're efficient. They don't leave the project open untouched for days and, at the end, they're done. When they're here, they've got everyone they need. In contrast, we had to chase our terrible pool remodel contractor for months to 'close out' their work -- where Botello just rolls and it doesn't take any of my energy worry about their responsibilities. It's all the difference for me; I got my own work to take care of all day.

I'm really glad we found them. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to just hire a professional to come in, understand what you need, agree to a plan, and then just enjoy the show. It's really fun to watch good work and I'm proud to have their work on our home for the next 50 years.

Needed my block wall painted (approximately200+ feet). Requested quote, very quick response, reasonable price (well worth it for what it would cost me in time and paint), quickly scheduled and completed. Nice folks, respectful crew. Huge improvement to the backyard.

Wonderful! I don’t write reviews, but had to this time! I have had the most delightful experience with Steve and Botello Builders. With a 40 year old home, I’ve had plenty of experience with home improvement projects but this one was by far the best. Had a 500 lb iron rv gate repaired and refinished with new pillars rebuilt and reinforced. Steve gave me a very reasonable quote and the job was completed within a week. And the gate looks gorgeous!! His right hand man, Jose is a gem as well. Great crew, great company!

I had some cinder block wall and house stucco projects that needed to be done. I sent a message to Botello Builders on a Saturday. The reply from Steven was immediate. Their estimator Jose arrived promptly on the date we agreed to. Work began two days later. The job the crew did was as perfect as possible. As a certified Executive Project, Program, Portfolio and Risk manager with 51 years experience, I have some pretty unreasonable expectations when it comes to working with smaller companies for residential landscape or building projects. I’m used to sending out 200-300 page RFPs and expecting well-laid out proposals, estimates and draft contracts. I considered Botello Builders and others for my home's Block Wall Removal and Block Wall Building Project.

For this project, I sent out my requirements to multiple candidates, some replied, some didn’t. Steve at Botello Builders quickly responded to my request for quote. He did so professionally and responded to our requirements with his draft quote. Knowing that this was a competitive bid, Steve worked very hard to win my business by negotiating with me on the contract’s line item descriptions and the price. Although Steve’s final quote was $100 more than the competition, in the end it was his positive customer reviews that made a huge difference when comparing apples to apples.

Steve’s crew, led by Jose, arrived on time, worked continually until the block wall project was completed. Their behavior on the job site was professional, polite, personable. When the project was completed, they did a thorough clean up. And, the end product was professionally completed to my satisfaction.

I needed to raise the block wall on the perimeter of my property from 6 feet to 8 feet. My HOA is very strict, and required me to get a permit from the city of Scottsdale. The city is also very strict in their permitting process. I had several vendors out who quoted the project. I am convinced if I had selected any of them, it would’ve been a nightmare. Steve with Botello was able to get right to work and get architectural drawings done, and submit the drawings to the HOA and city. Everything went very smoothly. Communication was excellent, and this job was time sensitive, and they were able to get it done without any delays. I was very pleased with the entire process, and do not hesitate to recommend Botello Builders.

They rebuilt a block wall that was damaged in a windstorm and also painted a rusted wrought iron fence around the pool. Their prices are reasonable and they are very professional. I highly recommend them.

Our remodel consisted of: New roof (from shake shingles that had never been replaced to asphalt 3 dimentional), walk-in closet addition to small house built in 1945 that had NO closets, and covered Douglas fir carport/driveway poured to accommodate three vehicles in a small space. After interviewing SEVERAL contractors, it became evident that (1) it was going to be more costly than we anticipated, (2) finding a contractor who wanted to take on this project for an older home was going to be difficult. Add to that a homeowner who throughout the project phases had input that GC Steve Scano graciously and successfully integrated into his agenda while still being compliant with our blueprint plans.

We fell in love with every one of the job supervisers and their crews, Juan (roofing), Orlondo (concrete) and Rafael (framing). They were professional, hard-working, competent, courteous and we loved having them become a part of our lives during this process. They worked long hours including Saturdays to meet project deadlines. Every inspection passed on first review. Before the job was completed, we met the entire Botello team it would seem, Cassandra in the office, Sergio, project overseer, and even owner, Cynthia Botello came by a couple of times. During more than once instance when so-called crisis came up, Steve showed up promptly and resolved potential challenges.

The end result is nothing short of spectacular. We feel that we are coming home to a "new home". Thank you all very much!

Professional, responsive with onsite estimate, digital proposal showing pictures and diagrams of work to be performed. Once accepted, the work was scheduled in a convenient way for us and them. Work performed was professional with great care for neatness. Steven was communicative and receptive to what we needed to get done throughout the project.
