Brian Nelson and his team are top notch! They have done several major projects for us over the past 14 years including finishing our basement and building on an extensive addition we call the "Music Hall". The materials and workmanship are of the highest quality and they stand by their work. Our experience with BN Builders has been great and they are starting a new Trex deck project for us very soon.

We worked with Brian, Marcus and team to complete our unfinished basement while also planning for future phases of our home remodel. Brian suggested we work with a designer as details needed to be planned out for those future stages. Smart move!
Let’s face it - remodeling is expensive and messy but Brian and Marcus helped us through that process in as painless a fashion as possible. From itemizing the quote so we could maximize our priorities in accordance with our budget to the excellent communication that took place throughout our project so we knew what/when/who. I couldn’t say enough good things about this company and the way they led us through the stress of a remodel. Even the office staff were timely and available as we progressed thru the many phases and questions we had. Kudos to BN!!

BN Builders saved the day for us by replacing a small window in our basement many years ago. It was a small but unique job that no one else wanted to bother with. Brian and BN Builders treated our insignificant window project with great care and the result was no more critters getting in my house which was significant for me! Years later BN Builders did all of our windows and put on a new deck for us. We also referred them and they did a deck project for my brother. My brother’s deck required some out of the box thinking. BN Builders is creative and they go the extra step to make sure things are done the right way… no corners are cut. They are and should be very prideful of their work. We recently had them remodel our laundry room and we are very happy. You can trust BN Builders.

I am incredibly pleased! Thorough and knowledgeable, Brian and team explained any issues they found during my re-siding project. They were easy to work with when one of those issues led to a mid-project pivot, ensuring the best result for my house. We couldn’t be happier with the results of our basement remodel after an unfortunate flood. When other contractors stopped communicating with us while we were looking for someone to take the job, Brian and BN Builders stepped up big time. They were very clear on the process, worked with our insurance adjuster, and offered ideas and options to us. Communication was great and once the schedule was set, everything went as planned. As our family grew, our home needed to as well. We researched many different builders/remodelers and ended up choosing BN Builders to tear our old garage off the house and rebuild a new garage with a master bedroom above it. We couldn’t go any wider so we went deeper. Our new garage was built nearly 40 feet deep to accommodate vehicle projects in the back half with parking in the front half. Fully insulated, Sheetrocked, heated, and very well-lit. We also wanted a master bedroom built above the garage because of our expanding family. Vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace, separate “his and hers” closets, and a dedicated area for my wife to do her makeup and also to sit and relax. It turned out absolutely amazing. It’s like a whole different world up there! We couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. Brian is incredibly friendly, easy to get a hold of, and quickly took care of any concerns/questions that arose during the project. He and his team went above and beyond for us and we are very grateful. Our home has received countless compliments from many people in the neighborhood, and even from multiple delivery drivers! I had roof damage in October of 2022. I called a few roofing companies including BN builders for estimates. Brian was honest, fast and gave came out personally to work with the insurance inspector to point all all the damaged area. Working with Jill internally was smooth as silk, and the roof was installed professionally and looks great. I will use BN builders every time I need work on my home.

I had BN Builders replace our roof shingles and replace a number of windows on our home. They did a great job with an exceptional quality of work, and on time.

BN builders did an amazing job on our home remodel which was a complete redo of the main floor, build a deck and 4 season porch as well as basement. They hit their schedule and their budget but more importantly we loved the outcome.
Most importantly, they were great to work with, and now - years later - they still help us out when we contact them. That’s invaluable.

In 2017 BN Builders took our design and remodeled our existing rambler with a new attached garage then in 2018 added a Trex's deck then in 2022/23 finished a basement bathroom and updated the upstairs bathroom then expanded our roof overhang to protect our basement entrance. They are now replacing our older 10'x10' shed with a new barn style 10'x20' shed to match the house with both siding and roofing.

BN builders added a deck to my home this spring. The crew clearly took pride in their work, and the results are outstanding. They corrected the ledger board that was incorrectly installed by the builder, and the time and material charge for that additional work was extremely reasonable. I recommend Brian and BN Builders.

I was very happy with the immediate response to any questions or concerns during a complex project. I had mold from a leak in my roof. They located it and replaced my roof as well as eliminated the mold and repaired the stains in my drywall. Removed my existing Chimney, and installed a gas fireplace. I started the reject late in the fall and was worried how it could be completed before winter set in, but Brian pulled it off somehow. New soffit, facia, gutters. Downspouts, roof, and fireplace in record time. I would highly recommend BN BUILDERS, He has a fantastic, very respectful and conscientious. They cleaned up daily while doing the work, and kept me informed what was being done.

After reviewing and meeting with quite a few companies, I decided to go with BN Builders and was glad of this decision. Brian was great to work with from the beginning and his crew is very professional. They built us a quality deck/porch and I’m particular in what I want. I would not hesitate to hire BN Builders again for a future project because I know they will do quality work at a fair price.

We needed our 30 year old deck replaced. We talked to a couple different companies and decided to go with B&N. I like working with the owner rather than salespeople. The communication was great and it helps a bit with cost. It took the crew a week to pull the old decking and install new maintanance free decking and railing. NO MORE SCRAPING AND STAINING. The crew was great, on time and neat. We had one problem with the railing and a new section was re-ordered and installed quickly. I'd highly reccomend Brian and his team.

Our project consisted of the addition of an all-season porch and adjacent deck to our home. We hired BN Builders based on the very strong recommendation provided by another family member and Brian Nelson’s detailed, straightforward proposal. We compared Brian Nelson’s proposal with those offered by three other contractors. His was competitive, yet not the cheapest. We learned long ago that the cheapest proposal can often become the most expensive in the long run. Brian’s proposal not only provided exactly what we were looking for, but also added the most value to our home. The craftsmanship provided by his crew is excellent - and they worked hard. Every member of Brian’s team knew exactly what they were doing and were a pleasure to have around our home during our project. We appreciated that the crew was very aware that we were living there during the construction. Before they left for the day, they cleaned up the site, providing us with a sense of normalcy. We also appreciated being kept in the loop during every step of the process by Jill, BN Builder’s office manager.

After contacting two other contractors for our deck project, and waiting through two summers for them to have time for it, I was referred by a neighbor to BN Builders. We agreed on a great plan, and the result is more than we hoped for! The crews were so prompt and courteous, everything was cleaned up on site each day. Highly recommend! We're using them again already for another home project.

BN Builders completed our home remodel on time and within anticipated budget. They turned our 114 year old 1.5 story house into a full two story with finished basement. We now have updated electrical, plumbing, insulation, siding, roofing and are ready for the next century. They steadily worked through the challenges presented by a 114 year old house and Minnesota weather on a project other builders did not want to attempt. The following year, they built us a sweet garage. We have and will recommend to our friends and neighbors.

We bought a house in Eagan that had a huge potential in becoming a wonderful home. The lower level was 2,600 sq. ft. and completely unfinished. The living room/kitchen area was huge but the ceiling was bowed downward. The entire outside had old cedar siding which was awful. The bedrooms were not in the best places. We loved the property and the potential of the house but had real reservations about what to do to make it a "palace." Brian Nelson and his whole crew spent huge amounts of time filled with patience in designing and recreating a new home with so many unique elements in it. These guys were focused on helping us make the house a marvelous, efficient, beautiful and spacious home. The expertise they displayed in everything they tackled resulted in a completed lower level, new bedroom configurations, a new outside to the home and so much more. After several months of their efforts we were thrilled with the work BN Builders had accomplished and are now enjoying everyday the fruits of their wonderful labors. BN Builders is not the most inexpensive contractor but they are most definitely one of the very best and it all points to their marvelous leader, Brian Nelson! Never did he say, “it can’t be done” and together we finished the project with results far beyond what we had imagined. Bravo!

We had an addition put on our kitchen and complete remodel of the room. BN Builders did a great job. Their crew was professional and respectful, and I was impressed with the daily clean up inside and out. With 3 kids, I was worried about construction and the mess that is often associated with it. They exceeded my expectations and truly kept my kids safety in mind.
BN paid great attention to detail, and someone was always available to answer my questions. The contractors they hired were just as great. I was involved in all decisions that needed to be made during renovations.The process went as smooth as possible, with something being done almost every day of the process.
The finished product is everything I was hoping for. Every little detail received attention, and I couldn't be happier with our brand new kitchen. We will be hiring them for future projects.
