BMC Masonry & Construction

I am writing to share my extremely negative experience with BMC Masonry & Waterproofing (Springfield, MA). I hired this company to perform basement waterproofing work, as detailed in Quote #549295, dated January 21, 2025. The work included basement waterproofing and installing a french drain around bulkhead and waterproofing bulkhead.

I paid in full for this work, which came with a 25-year warranty.
Shortly after the work was completed, I noticed a worsening water intrusion problem in my basement. Water is now coming in in areas where it did not before the work was done.

I contacted BMC Masonry & Waterproofing on April 6th to report the issue. After initially saying they would send someone on April 26th, the appointment was rescheduled to April 30th due to weather. No one showed up. When I called, I was told their crew went to the wrong address. I was then promised a crew would arrive at 8:00 AM the next day. Again, no one showed up. Since then, the contractor has stopped answering my calls.
I sent a formal email reminding them of their warranty obligations and stating that I would pursue legal action and share my experience publicly if the issue was not addressed. I received no response.

This company has demonstrated a complete disregard for their contractual obligations and a shocking lack of professionalism. The work was clearly substandard, and they have refused to honor their warranty. I am now facing a worse problem than I had before I hired them, and they are completely unresponsive.

I strongly advise anyone considering hiring BMC Masonry & Waterproofing to look elsewhere. Their poor workmanship and complete lack of customer service have left me with a significant problem and no recourse. I will be pursuing all available legal options to rectify this situation.

My basement was in rough shape after a sewer backup. BMC also suggested other options to maintain a healthy basement for my house. His crew worked efficiently. I was pleased the final results. I highly recommend BMC for any heavy project! Tandy
