We had a lot of wind damage in the spring--siding was torn off and facia also got blown off the house. I had spent months contacting contractors and either got ghosted or never received quotes after they visited the house. I contacted Bigfoot Contruction and within 5 minutes I got both an e-mail and a call!

That was a Friday late afternoon. I didn't expect any communication over the weekend, but I still got a couple messages asking if I wanted repairs done as soon as possible. By Tuesday I had a crew here and they even worked in the pouring rain to get the job finished. There were zero gimmicks with pricing. They were very transparent from the beginning about the cost. I decided not to replace the broken shutters because I will be replacing all the siding in the near future. I'm thankful that I was given options and the repars were tailored to my preferences.

I will be using Bigfoot for future projects!

Just had a new roof installed. The sales team was very professional as well as the installation crew. They removed the old roof and installed the new one all in one day. They also kept the place very clean. Highly recommend using them and will use them again with future home improvements. When the period of freezing, thawing and re-freezing in February finally took its toll on my gutters, soffit and fascia, it all tore away from my 2nd story roof in a thunderous and horrific fashion.

With debris everywhere, and 10 feet of jagged gutter dangling off the side of my house, I called Bigfoot Construction in a panic. It was a Friday afternoon, the weather was AWFUL, and I couldn't let that stray length of metal smash into the windows, or worse, fly off and injure someone.

I spoke to Elijah who was friendly, helpful, and, most importantly, calming--shockingly, he and another crew member came out within the hour to repair what they could, clear the enormous ice boulders from the roof and clean up the mess left behind.

From that moment on, I knew were were in good hands, and the rest of my experience was just as impressive! When the insurance company low-balled our total repair estimate to a laughable degree, Stephen took the time to submit an itemized assessment of the costs down to the penny, and we were reimbursed for the full amount.

The final repairs were done quickly, meticulously and in truly awful weather conditions. We were always kept in the loop about work and completion dates, and we now have a finished product that looks better than it did prior to the incident.

I literally cannot recommend Bigfoot Construction enough--everyone we encountered was helpful, professional, pleasant and excellent at their jobs. I don't look forward to replacing the entire roof in a few years, but when the time comes, I'll be more than happy to have Bigfoot Construction do the work!

We had our house roof done which included tearing off the entire old roof and putting new shingle roof on! They made the entire process from estimate to final meeting to walk around and make sure we were pleased with everything so simple and easy! They kept me up to date during the whole job and I loved they had financing options to use and that was an easy process also. We worked with so many great guys including Daniel and Miciah! I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a construction company that responds to you and answers all your questions! I also love how specific the contract was that we signed!

We had a few pieces of soffit come loose during a recent storm. I called Bigfoot Construction on a Thursday, received and estimate the following Monday,and repairs were completed that Tuesday. I'm very pleased with the quality and how quickly they were able to get our soffit fixed up. They even reached out a few weeks later to make sure all was good. I'll definitely be keeping them in mind for any future repairs. Thanks again!

We had a piece of siding come off due to some recent storms.

We contacted Bigfoot Construction expecting they would be pretty busy.

In less than 24 hours from the time we contacted Bigfoot about this - they had our siding fixed!

To our surprise Micah came out to our residence and had our siding repaired in record time!

So thankful that we have a reliable and consistent contractor in our area!!

Maybe their work is great, but I wouldn’t know. It took three calls to get someone to come out and do an estimate, and he rescheduled once. I was told I’d have an estimate by the next week. Three weeks later, I called again and was told they would send it out right away. It’s been two weeks. I guess the job I needed done was too small. I will be going with someone else.

6 21 24 -this is a top notch outfit. we recently had them appraise and bid on a new flat roof for our home. they are all experienced, knowledgeable, and prompt. the estimator was radiating some incredibly powerful vibes of goodness. hot day on a flat roof? we gave him a bottle of water and he was made glad. he didnt even want to take the time to drink it because he was so focused on his work ( had to put 'm in an arm bar ) he pretended not to like it. called into the office today and spoke with a human crystal, she is a powerful being. and smelled funny. there were about 4 others during our speaker phone conference call,,,, and i will say with the utmost sincerity..... they ALL HAVE GOOD VIBES,,

If you’re looking for THE absolute best quality in craftsmanship and service, don’t even think twice before calling Bigfoot! I recently hired Bigfoot Construction to repair a botched flooring job by another contractor, and they not only worked through the difficult task of tearing out the damaged flooring - they went above and beyond to salvage what they could of the existing LVP boards and laid one of the nicest, best installed floating floors I’ve ever seen. I’m a property inspector, so my eye for detail is obviously pretty in-tune and I see countless homes, so it goes without saying that my compliment to Bigfoot doesn’t come lightly. Not only did they do a phenomenal job; they were able to make it out very quickly and exuded exceptional service all along the way. I needed a fast repair of my roof as I was selling my house. Karissa came out and took all photos and gave me an estimate right away! The work was completed a few days later and my house sold a week later!

UPDATED: After getting contacted by the owner, my problem was expedited and I'm very happy with the results. I'm still out a good bit of extra money due to having 2 separate contractors work on my roof (more on this below), but I'm very pleased with the work Bigfoot did, and the guys who came out were great! I'm hoping we can get them out to do more work for us in the future, and I've already given them a list of projects I've been looking at having done, and my SO has given me a few more since they were out that she'd like to have them out for too.

We just wish they could have solved our issues for us before we had to resort to bringing in someone else! After my initial review, we had a different contractor out who managed to break a skylight and do a shoddy job "repairing" it (they didn't even manage to sweep up all of the shattered glass...). Bigfoot completely fixed the issues the other guys left behind, redid a lot of their work, and did so faster and significantly cheaper.

I'm leaving my original review below for posterity, as we did get off on a bit of the wrong foot, but I do believe my first experience was an outlier based on their other reviews and the work they did.

Put in an emergency request for a leaky roof and was very excited when I was immediately contacted back... Unfortunately, it's been nothing but broken promises since, and 3 weeks later I've still got a leaky roof. Was repeatedly told "We'll be out tomorrow" or "Let me talk to Jessica and we'll call you right back" with no response. Left a couple of messages after 3 no-show dates asking them to please just let me know if they're actually going to help or not, and they couldn't even bother to call me back. Very disappointed and frustrated.

EDIT: After posting my review the owner reached out to me and apologized for my experience and is working to make thing right for me. After speaking with him, and reading some of the other reviews, I do think I may have just had a one-off bad experience, and I'm hoping I can update this to 5 stars soon. Updating this to 3 stars for now as opposed to the 1 I had before.

From the first phone call to assess the damage from a wind-blown tree onto our garage, to the wrap up/clean up, Bigfoot delivered! Karissa was amazing & came out and did a preliminary quote, then Stephen & Jessica came to do a final estimate. Once the materials were ordered and received the work began. The job was done to perfection and each crew that came out from the trusses to the shingles & vinyl to the gutters was professional and diligent. Jessica was consistent with communication when delays (weather, materials, etc.) occurred. Our garage is 100% more stable and solid than before it was repaired. Highly recommend!!

EXCEPTIONAL!! THIS COMPANY CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. PRIOR TO OUR START DATE THE OFFICE WAS ON TOP OF THINGS. THEY KEPT ME ABREAST AND ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. THE CREW ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND WORKED NONSTOP TO COMPLETE OUR ROOF ON SCHEDULE. WE RAN INTO A SUPPLIER DELIVERY PROBLEM BUT INSTEAD OF THE CREW SITTING BACK AND WAITING THIS COMPANY STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND GOT MATERIALS DELIVERED SO THE CREW COULD KEEP WORKING UNTI THEBALANCE OF THE SUPPLIES SHOWED UP. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CONTRACTOR DO THAT. THE SERVICE WAS INCREDIBLE! I WILL DEFINATELY USE THEM ON FUTURE PROJECTS IF THE NEED ARISES.

When Karissa started with Bigfoot construction she has taken the reigns of the company and is getting things done with one phone call. Had a leak at on of my dormers, 1 call and she had someone out that afternoon to get the repairs done. Stephen should give her a raise. Well done Karissa!!!

I got a metal roof put on my house, Bigfoot did an excellent job! No leaks, used quality materials, even covered the ends with flashing. They went over and above to make sure I was satisfied. It's been nearly 5 years, other than being a little dirty( going to clean it this spring with some wet and forget) the roof still looks as good as the day it was completed. .. best thing...NO LEAKS!
Stephen McRae runs a top notch company, has awesome employees and makes sure the job is done right and the customer is happy. .. and the pricing is very reasonable! Great construction company! Very trustworthy. Highly recommend! Used this company for some roof repairs. They called quickly and we’re out to do the job a couple days later. Billy did a great job. Karissa was very efficient and knew what she was talking about. Both were very professional. I highly recommend Bigfoot Construction!

1000% would recommend this company to anyone, And will use them again, they came out the same day I called and removed as much of the tree they could before nightfall as you can tell by the tree in the pictures it was a huge maple tree that fell on my deck and swimming pool during a bad storm, they came back out the next morning and remove the rest. They are extremely polite, professional, and personable from the owner to the employees and you can tell they take pride in the job they do from start to finish they cleaned everything up and made it look like there was never a tree there.I could keep going on and on about how great this company is, but like I said in the beginning I will recommend this company to everyone it’s very hard to find good work with great ethics anymore and they nailed it!!

Called for a roof repair estimate/full roof replacement estimate. The guys showed up and looked at the job however I have been waiting over a week for estimates. Try to call the number and get no response. Can't leave a voice message because the voicemail box is full. Very unprofessional.

If I could leave less than one star, I would.

It's been over a half year since I signed the estimate (July 1st, 2021) to commit to a roof replacement with Bigfoot Construction based on online reviews. I expected delays due to the current production issues in the economy but never expected to get to winter without a new roof.

Two months after returning the signed estimate (September 7th) and having not heard from them, I asked when they thought they could begin and was told ~2 weeks weather permitting. We've had more than a couple of weeks of good weather here since so I assume that was just lip service to keep me content as they filled their schedule with other clients.

Two months later (November 11th), again having not heard anything since I was told to expect a mid-to-late September start time, I emailed them to express my concerns and ask for a refund. It's coming up on two weeks since that email and I have yet to hear back from them or receive a refund.

If you can wait, I highly suggest going with another contractor. If you pay close attention, most of the glowing reviews are from more than a year ago. Since then, I would guess that this company has leveraged their good ratings into bigger commercial jobs, pushing smaller ones off until they are less busy.

Very responsive and helpful. They went above and beyond in the process of replacing my roof. Would highly recommend for any repairs or replacement.

Could not be more pleased! From the first phone call through the entire process of getting my roof completed both Steve and Dan show such professionalism and knowledge and answered all of our questions and concerns and going into this expense we really felt the job would be top notch with them. The crew came early morning and worked nonstop till late in the evening! The clean up the next day put me to shame around the shrubs even. We can't say enough of how pleased we are! The end product is stellar. Piece of mind to know that roof is good now for a long long time!!

Good, reliable work is hard to come by. I had some nail pops and minor roof repairs that needed done....therefore, rather small job. Bigfoot construction was very responsive and professional and got the job done in a very timely manner even though mine was a small job and not very costly. This was my first time using them and I plan on using them for future construction needs. Five stars and A+ in my book. They made me feel like I was a valued customer for years!

These guys did a wonderful job fixing the flashing around my chimney. Very professional and knowledgeable, they did a tremendous job in the freezing wind and kept me informed about what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. As soon as I called these guys, they showed up the next day. I will definitely be using Bigfoot Construction in the future.

We had been wanting to get a roof replacement and honestly we had no luck finding anyone around the Meyersdale area that would even call us back so I went to google and found Bigfoot Construction out of Windber. Glad I did. My first phone call was answered and within a week Dan had my estimate and put a plan in place and as of today February 25th we have our roof on. From our experience this is a honest hard working company that wants to do a great job and stick to their word. As far as the roof installation, they did it in two days in February!

I reached out to Bigfoot in December about replacing my roof and they were able to provide a competitive quote and showed up when they told me they would. The workers were professional and cleaned up well each day after they were finished up. Great work ethic! They addressed any concerns that I had and got everything taken care of. The roof and new door look great!!

It's often hard to find someone who is timely, reasonable and there when they say they will be there. They did our roof quickly, efficiently and were super clean with their work area. I would recommend them 100x!

Our first dealings were fantastic! We had lost a few shingles in a storm in 2019. After 3 different contractors failed to call us back we gave Bigfoot a call. The first phone call to completion of the job was all done in 2 days! We were so happy with them that we then recommended them to three separate people who also hired them.

However, since then they have been very disappointing. First time we had them come give us an estimate on refinishing our ceilings. Measurements were taken but we never heard back with an estimate and phone calls weren’t returned.

The second time, a few months later we called and requested an estimate on a new roof for a property we were looking to purchase. We were told they would stop by and look and give us a rough estimate. Again, we never heard anything else.

The third time we called (and called and called) to get an estimate on a sliding glass door installation. They were a few hours late (which we had to call to see if they were still coming.) They came and took some measurements and said they would email us the estimate. That was a week ago. Again, we haven’t heard anything and they aren’t answering the phone or returning calls.

It’s really disappointing to have to leave this review. We were so happy with the first (and only) job they completed. But you would expect better communication from a company you hired and then proceeded to get a few other well paying jobs.

This is the second time we’ve used Bigfoot Construction in the past 5 years & both times we were 100% satisfied. The first time, we needed our roof replaced & this time, we had our chimney re-mortared/re-peaked. With all the melting snow & rain we’ve been getting, the deteriorating chimney was allowing water to seep into my daughter’s walls & saturating the floor. They provided an industrial dehumidifier to use until weather conditions allowed a few nice days to complete the job. Once the job was done, cleanup was thorough & they even inspected other areas to ensure the leaking didn’t persist.
Easy to get ahold of. Promptly returns calls. Knowledgeable about what needed to be fixed & did fantastic work. We couldn’t be more pleased.
If another issue or emergency arrises…they’ll be the first we call.

Our chimney was falling, old brick. Bigfoot Contruction did a fantastic job of stabilizing and redoing our chimney. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any remodeling you need done. They were very professional, honest and great to deal with. We LOVE our new chimney!!!!

I’ve known Stephen for many years and know that he takes great pride in the work that he does. Quality work done in a timely fashion.
