Best Materials

Impossible to get in contact with. They've got a very nice website with lots of specialty roofing that isn't stocked at normal retailers, but have 0 customer service to actually sell it.

I live fairly local, so I wanted to pick it up (as single ply roofing comes in larger rolls / is expensive to ship). Their website details exactly how to do this via a Will Call option. But, that function is broken. Tried calling / voice-mail and emailing multiple times with no response to either.

Decided to go ahead and just pay to have it shipped as I already had everything picked out in my online cart. Get to the shipping tab and its quoting over $5000 to ship only $2000 worth of material even though I'm in the same state / metro area. This isn't a huge amount of material either- less than 700 sf worth. That's not going to happen...

Tried calling again, even trying other extensions besides sales - and still absolutely nothing. It's been a couple weeks now (I went ahead and ordered from elsewhere) and I've still never received a call or email response.

Id strongly suggesting avoiding this place. Even if you place an online order / are OK with paying shipping, you'll have an impossible time getting in touch with someone if it goes wrong.

Edit as response to owner comment: If you're seriously interested in hearing more about the issue I had, feel free to return one of the several voice-mail / emails you have from me under this same name. I've had my fill of wasting time trying to get in touch with someone on your end.

I'll also note it's very frustrating that your company has the time to actively monitor + respond to ratings on here, yet appear to be at least 2 weeks backlogged on responding to the phone + email listed on the website.

They don't seem to want to take my order. I have emailed them three times and no response. I then called and spoke to someone who seemed to be half asleep. He was somewhat helpful and did suggest a few things. He told me to email him directly so he could finalize the order but again no response. I'm moving on to a different supplier.

Wow. Where to start. I have had my card charged a $1000 for a purchase I made. Since then, I have called and left messages with their call center (only option) every day for a week and sent emails to their one address. I have had no response. I paid for 2-3 day shipping….don’t have what I paid for and have no way to know what’s going on with my order. The woman at the call center tried to assure me that this company actually exists, but I am not convinced. DO NOT give this “company” your money.

I own a business myself. Things happen. Reviews that say the product showed up and all was well do not have a lot of info on how the company handled an issue. This is how you judge a company. I had a shipping error. Customer service was fantastic and handled the issue with class and fixed the problem. I would recommend this company!

I purchased a spool of cable wire online from this company and was sent a spool that was of very very poor quality. After sharing my opinion on the quality of wire cable I received, they are doing the right thing and refunding my money. Unfortunately I will purchasing this wire from a different retailer in the future.

Great! I'd been looking all over the state for a Stinger...~it turns out they are the only ones that carried it! And at a fair price!

Do not order anything from this company unless you are able to check they have delivered what you ordered. Which seems a common thread in these negative reviews. They sent me the wrong stuff and won't take it back as I had not opened the box soon enough, half the order was missing. Who has enough room to lay out 20'x13' of rubber roofing to check the order and keep it clean before the job is ready. They wont even refund the money on the material I never received. Which looks like fraud. To rub salt in the wound I have to order make up material from them to maintain consistency, although that will mean a patch, which, like their company is second best. All the carpenters in my area I have spoken to agree that this is outrageous.

It only takes one person to ruin a reputation of a company. Luckily there are other people more willing to help out then the sales associate named luis. That I needed to return and exchange for the same item and all of a sudden it became a large burden on his hands and more or less likely made it seem like he was holding me at his mercy and my mere presence was an inconvienance. He never helped me and it took someone who actually works in the warehouse to do a proper return and be respectful and friendly as much as possible. 3 to this place for the terrible customer service but all three stars go to the woman who works there, and Luis, you suck man.

We placed an order from a tablet choosing "order now" for each item. When we received the order we received the wrong item, the wrong item # was on the packing slip. When I contacted the company they sent me a copy of the order confirmation informing me that I did indeed order that item and that if I wanted to return it there would be a 15% restocking fee and I would have to pay the shipping. I was also told it is my responsibility to double check the order confirmation. Make sure to read their return policy very carefully, in my opinion customer service is not their priority.

This place is great! They have any type of caulking, construction adhesives, drain parts, concrete repair, parking lot seam caulking and roofing material one would ever need! I live in the Dallas, Texas area (population of over 4 million people) and there are 100 roofing supply companies. And none of them offer a website with so many supplies and detailed descriptions like this company does.

These guys are great! They have pretty much every roofing product you can think of, and answer questions if you need help.

I don't usually write reviews but felt it necessary for Best Materials. I forgot to order some np-1 for a job. I called the office to make sure the color I wanted was in stock. The salesman (Chad) was very helpful. He walked me through the ordering process which I found to be easy. I received my order the next day and was able to complete my job with no down time. Thanks to Best Materials!

This is the go to place for hard to find materials. Tons of info on the website and easy ordering. This is actually a real company, not just a website. When I'm in the city I can stop and pick up what I need. Its not a store where you can just look around, this is a real contractor supplier but the sales guys will show you around while they talk about your project. They even load your truck! You cant find that kind of service at a big box home store.
