Bernardo's Painting

Bernardo and his team came out to provide an estimate on aluminum siding which had oxidized over time and would require sanding, priming and painting over metal surfaces, around solar inverter hardware, electrical, air conditioning and pool equipment. Added was 17 window frames, fascia surface around the entire home, front door, Mary Statue and a Canex ceiling panel. Bernardo made the entire process simple and his/his team’s expert knowledge was instrumental to the success of this project. From beginning to end, his crew was collaborative and informative providing daily updates on the work to be done. Bernardo made several visits as well. We felt like we were the priority and not a side job. Quality craftsmanship, extraordinary work, backed by a handshake—and stayed within budget! Thank you!

Bernardo called me back promptly after I first contacted his company for a quote. He inspected my house the next day and I told him what repairs and painting I wanted done. We agreed on an estimate, and the next day he emailed me a contract with the exact price. The price was reasonable. After discussing with my wife, I accepted the contract a few days later, paying half.

Bernardo put me on a waiting list of about a month. The workers were friendly and professional. The job was finished in 3 days. Siding was repaired, the siding and windows were washed with bleach and rinsed on the first day. Painting of the house, trim, and door was done over the next two days. Bernardo use Sherwin Williams, the best paint on the market.

On the last day, Bernardo did an inspection of all work, and had his foreman touch up a couple of small spots. The next day, I paid the balance due.

I give Bernado's Painting a 5-star rating. Several people in my neighborhood have already praised my house's new look!

Amazing from start to finish! I received a few quotes and Bernardo's wasn't the cheapest or most expensive but from the very beginning his attention to detail was evident in the quoting process. We talked through the job and my concerns with the house (and the uniqueness of the house) and he was quite informative and consultative with what needed to be done. It only got better once the crew showed up. Communication was great. They guys worked their butt off and I had quite a few neighbors stop by commenting on the great job and effort of the crew. What is special about Bernardo's Painting for me was his team. They show up on time, took their breaks as scheduled, work as a team, and did EXACTLY what the contract states they will do. Although some companies may under bid a contract to get the job- take it from me, the cheap 'always' becomes expensive. Especially when it comes to painting companies because of possible job delays due to weather. So you must have confidence that your painter will prioritize your job once the weather clears. And that is exactly what Bernardo did for our home. Not like what has happened to us in the past with other paint companies whom have either rushed the job because they had tickets to Las Vegas or just delayed and/or never even showed back up because they were off to another job. I trust Bernardo. He treated our home of 35 years like it was his. As you can see by the time I have put in to comment about Bernardo's painting I will forever use his company to perform all painting jobs in our future. My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Bernardo’s Painting and the awesome results of his skilled staff. We needed the interior of a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom condo painted in preparation for a sale. We spoke with two painting companies before we found Bernardo’s Painting. We were impressed with his responsiveness and knowledge with our first phone call. He performed a thorough walkthrough of the condo and made recommendations based on the fact that we were selling the property. At that time, he then provided a quote with detailed explanations of the work to be done. We found the quote reasonable given that the interior had never been painted before and there was a fair amount of surface work that needed to be done.

We do not live in the condo being painted so we did not have any interaction with his crew but saw the results of their efforts, a beautiful painting job and newly installed wood flooring untouched by paint.

Bernardo's Painting did a phenomenal job painting the exterior of our house and CMU walls. The entire process from start to finish was absolutely great. I can not thankful enough with Bernardo. He came in with his crew, and did a great job. Bernardo's Painting is the best, period. I have had many rentals and primary homes over the years but Bernardo's was an extra-special job. There was not a flaw in the cutting of the paint as two walls came together with different colors. Our home has no baseboards so the wall color comes right to the tile ~ it looks like the tile was laid after the walls were painted! You may pay a little more, but as my pappy told me many decades ago, you get what you pay for. I'd highly recommend Bernardo's Painting.

I had a very positive experience with Bernardo’s painting. I had requested that they paint the exterior wall of a portion of my house to fix a painting mistake done by a roofing company. After the rough experience with the roofing company, Bernardo had a lot of the qualities that I now look for in businesses that I want to use. Foremost, his communication was punctual and honest. He also made the experience personal and always made sure that we were comfortable with the process. He really cared about the finished product and not just about covering things up. The end product looked amazing and I would highly recommend Bernardo.

Bernardo’s Painting did an amazing job making my house look brand new again!

I obtained quotes from other companies, some quoted higher and some lower prices, but decided to use Bernardo’s Painting mainly because of the amount of positive reviews they received from other customers.
During my quote with Bernardo, he really listened to my concerns and what I wanted out of my project and gave me options/routes I can take without sounding like a salesman. Speaking of listening to my concerns, I read a negative review saying that they were asked unrelated questions that had nothing to do with their project. I too was asked these questions BUT I was shortly led to believe that Bernardo is ‘listening’ to his customers, learning mistakes made by other contractors and trying not to repeat them… Quite clever if you ask me.

Moving forward, day 1 eave vents around my entire house were installed and did a complete pressure wash down of the house. Day 2, everything masked, house and trim was completed by early afternoon. I couldn’t believe how quickly the house was painted so I did my own careful walk around expecting to see a hack/rushed job. I was just amazed at how well the attention to detail was around the trim and how clean the separation of different color paint lines were. I also checked behind difficult painting areas such as my AC condensing unit outside where I can’t even fit my hand behind, yet the wall behind it had an even thick coat of paint! Day 3, painted my garage door and did a complete walk through for any touch ups and everything was done before lunch!

Im in awe with the quality of work performed in such a short amount of time. Bernardo’s painting really knows how to do their job efficiently and meticulous without sacrificing quality. I’ve got nothing but great things to say about Bernardo’s Painting, they know what they’re doing and they do it very well, unlike other companies who hire apprentices to practice painting (I don’t think anyone reading this would pay to have their house practiced on). He will give you advice on color schemes and what he honestly thinks of ideas you might have for color combinations. I am extremely impressed with Bernardo's Painting. As a company, they have an overall work ethic of putting the client first and being cognizant and respectful of their needs. I cannot say enough good things about the owner, Bernardo, and his crew. But let me give my best attempt.

My wife and I planned our recent home renovation in two phases. The first phase involved installing split AC and removing the existing window AC units that were built into the walls. The second phase would be painting the interior of our home.

I reached out to multiple painting and AC contractors. Luckily, I chose well in both cases. Bernardo was able to have his in-house carpenter (Fabian) build the framing for the holes left in the walls that the window AC's created. He also fixed the exterior siding and painted the patches to match the rest of the house. From the outside of our house, you can't even tell there used to be large, rectangular cutouts for old AC units! Bernardo also contracted a drywall subcontractor to patch up the interior. The interior repair job was just as seamless as the exterior. Very impressive job, and that was before the interior painting.

The wall repair work was more costly than my wife and I anticipated, so we asked Bernardo if we could hold off on the painting work until we saved more funds. Bernardo was very understanding and accommodating to our needs. A little more than 6 months later, we called him up to schedule the interior painting. Bernardo honored his initial quote and had his crew at our home about a week after my call.

In my line of work, I deal with many contractors from all disciplines. It's common to have a leader (owner, superintendent, foreman) who is capable, respectful, and takes pride in their work. It's very rare to have an entire work crew who conducts themselves in the same manner. Esmo, Clyde, Fabian, Gary, CJ, and Preston were a joy to work with. They took great care in protecting our belongings from getting paint on them and put things back EXACTLY how they were at the end of each day. They were extremely efficient with how they worked, and did their best to sequence their work to cause the least disruption to me as I worked from home. They arrived early each day, cleaned everything up by the end of the day, and had great communication with their progress. Other little things that may sound silly, but are greatly appreciated (especially after experience with previous contractors):

-They were very friendly to our dog, and made sure he didn't accidentally rub up against wet walls and get paint on him

-They left the bathrooms clean after using them throughout the day

-They asked where they could store their materials so it would not be in our way

-They made sure to do the baby's room and the master bedroom first so that we would have access to them as soon as possible

-They worked very well together, and obviously enjoyed doing so

That last point is important. A crew that works well together does a better job. And since they were always in a good mood, they were easily approachable with comments or questions. I talked story with almost all of them, and they are all down-to-earth, very good guys.

At the end of each day, Bernardo came to check on the progress and make sure that everything was being done to our satisfaction.

And on top of all of that, the price was very reasonable, especially considering that they use the top-of-the-line paint from Sherwin Williams.

I will be recommending Bernardo's Painting to anyone I know who may need exterior or interior painting.

Christmas miracle! We were trying to move by Christmas but got the keys on Dec 22. The painters met us there that morning and knocked out a four bedroom, stair hallway, and lift area in 1 1/2 days so we had time to move in! They prompt, easy to work with, reasonably priced, and did a great job. Thank you!

Quality of work was terrible my railing started showing rust 3 weeks after they finished. I confronted the foreman that painted the railing and he swore at me very unprofessional. I had termite damage that this company just painted over where in the contract it says fix and paint. Never before have I had bubbling of the paint. It’s been a nightmare with many sleepless nights. In my opinion this company did not follow the contract. This company made it look good then the problems started. I definitely would not recommend this company

We had used Bernardo for a interior job some years ago so when it came time to paint the exterior of our home, we called him again. He met with us and was not only knowledgeable and totally professional but easy to talk with and not at all pushy or ‘salesy’. While we were deciding about whether to do the job we mentioned it to our good friends (who are really picky) and they weighed in and said, “we know the best painter, his name is Bernardo!”. This is a long overdue review. We were so busy when we listed our home for sale, went into contract and then the Covid-19 happened. Now we are nearly packed and ready to move out. We believe that our freshly painted exterior really helped to sell our home. I can now leave the review for Bernardo's Painting that is so well deserved. We looked at three painting companies including Bernardo's. Each came out to look at the exterior of our home which was badly in need of paint. We have a 2 story stucco home with two-tone paint and white trim which I believe is a little more challenging to paint. I noticed right away how personable and very professional Bernardo was. He listened intently to what we needed done. He took measurements and pictures which made me take note that he wanted to ensure that he had everything he needed for his proposal before driving away. Bernardo's proposal was the most professional and detailed of the three that we received. He was also accommodating and always took the time to answer any questions that I had. He never made me feel rushed or that I was a bother. I also looked at his website and did my due diligence by checking to make sure his company was not only licensed and in good standing, but also carried the insurance that he should have for his employees. We chose Bernardo's Painting because he made us feel like we could trust him, that he would stand behind his work. We wanted a company that did business above board meaning they are licensed, insured and bonded. Bernardo explained the type of Sherwin Williams paint he used which was so helpful. Once the painting job started we noticed the crew was considerate, respectful and very hard working. We saw the exterior of our home starting to transform from tired, faded and dusted with red dirt, to beautiful, vibrant and fresh. We had some very small things that we pointed out that needed to be touched up and Bernardo quickly had that done. No questioning, no back and forth, very professional.
