Batch Wood Works

I contemplated posting this review for a while but I’ve decided it’s the best thing to do because I know people often look to the internet for contractors. John and his team took on our custom home build at the end of last year and while we are thankful things turned out relatively okay there were still some major road bumps and hassles for contractors that came after them. I’d like to say as well that his team was always professional and we often communicated with the lead for his crew when John completely ghosted us (he stopped answering his personal phone for my husband but would pick up when we called the business number from another number). The crew as a whole only did as their boss told them. Unfortunately the professionalism stopped with John’s crew. The communication was awful and we couldn’t reach him for days and sometimes weeks in a row. In our original agreement with Batch Wood Works we had them contracted previously to do our siding after the framing and porches were completed and when that time came they backed out of the agreement for that service and left us in a hard position trying to finalize our build. Thankfully we found an amazing siding contractor that quickly helped us and felt bad for our situation. Ultimately we are so thankful that fell through with Batch Wood Works because every contractor after was responsive, upfront, timely and all around professional. If you are looking for work on a smaller and simpler project this may be the business for you to deal with but not if it is building a home, especially a home in a coastal area.

Batch Wood Works replaced 5 very old skylights for me. They were accurate and efficient at ordering replacements and installing them within the estimate I was given. John's customer service and communication is excellent. His crew is skilled, polite and careful with my belongings. Batch Wood Works is my go-to business for home construction and repair.

John, and his company did a Great Job! John really knows what he was talking about. John, knew what the problem was with our roof from our first conversation. They fixed the roof and did not add on extra problems. He also kept the cost down. They are extremely professional. They showed up on time. John, and his worker were very Kind as well. They got the work done on the roof quickly. I really felt like I could TRUST John from beginning to end!!! John, also did not overcharge me. John is VERY HONEST!!! I highly Recommend this company!

We had John build us a 35x12 deck and do some other small projects around the house (roof patch & siding repair). His team worked well together and represented his business well. John was fair and honest with his pricing and didn't pressure us. We look forward to doing business with him again.
