Jacob is a rock star HVAC tech. Solved an airflow problem from the initial installation of another company... Found my issue on his first visit in 3 mins. Had to cut a hole in the drywall to reach the crushed duct work and was able to re route and replace the crushed section. He tripled the amount of airflow in the upstairs with the correct placement of duct work. Thank you so much! B&T will be my HVAC company forever

I have a house that was built in 2024 so it is new construction. The AC stopped working so I called B&T. They came out and said they fixed it but less than 72 hours later it went out again. They refused to come out again without charging me again. The first charge was over $500. They obviously hadn't done a good job. They complained that it was hard to come out after hours (before 7PM) - okay, but I have worked my whole life and never just had a 9-5 job. Most people don't if they want to be successful. They refused to refund me. I would not recommend using this company.

Today was my first maintenance visit. Carter was very professional and took time to answer my questions regarding concerns. Scheduling was easy and timely. I will continue with B &T.

We lost our entire HVAC system when TS Chantel came through. We have used B&T for several years for maintenance and repairs, so we called them right away. They came quickly to access the damage, and within a day we had a response for replacement. We spoke directly with the president of the company, and he told us it would likely be the Wednesday of the next week before they could have everything ready to replace the system. We were delighted when he reached out and told us they would be here on Monday instead, since this was the only thing keeping us out of our home. The technicians arrived and completed the work in a day. They were very professional and respectful. When the job was complete, the lead technician took time to go over everything with us. It's now been 72 hours and the new system is working well.

The only complaint I have, and I have to take some responsibility, is that after we signed the contract, when I spoke to Aaron we discussed elevating the outside unit like they do at the beach. This didn't get added to the contract, so when the tech's showed up they couldn't just do it and I wasn't willing to stop the work to get this change made. Hopefully it will be many years before we have this much water again.

We will continue to use this company, as they have consistently provided quality work.

I hired this company at the suggestion of my realtor to inspect the two HVAC Units at my property (the indoor air handling units and the outdoor condenser units).
They charged me ~$500 to do so. I was not present for the inspection, my realtor was. After moving into the home I realized their was water leaking from the basement unit; I called B&T to have them come out and help but the woman whom I spoke with (Melissa) was so rude to me that I chose to go with a different company. The other company let me know that it was very obvious the unit hadn’t ever been serviced or looked at (it’s a 2021 unit). He said the condensate pump was obviously old and broken and in need of replacement (something that would have been obvious if it had been inspected).
I contacted B&T about this and was shocked at how unprofessional and rude the person was whom I dealt with - the owner Aaron denied any wrongdoing and offered no help whatsoever.
I would avoid this company at all costs.
I specifically paid the extra $ for an HVAC inspection due to health concerns for my family as we have several members who are sensitive to certain molds and I wanted to make sure our AC was working going into the summer. Due to the downstairs unit being broken our home got up over 80° and over 60% humidity for at least several days - I had the home tested for mold (which I had done during the inspection process) and levels were shown to be elevated.
The 2 people at B&T with whom I spoke, Aaron and Melissa, were so unbelievably unprofessional and unkind; they made it very obvious that they do not care about their customers in the least and are only about making money at any cost, even if it puts their customers or their property at risk.

We've been using B&T for quite a few years now. We've been satisfied with all of their techs that have come out to do the preventative maintenance. We also have recently had a complete package installed which includes the air conditioning unit and the heating unit. I cannot ask for better service and exceptional techs that B&T have employed. Thank you B&T for the Fantastic service.

After getting an estimate form my current HVAC Service company that seemed excessive, I received advice to get a second estimate from B&T HVAC. I liked my previous HVAC service company, which is why I had been with them for the last 10 years, but I came to LOVE the experience with B&T! From the estimate process and throughout the installation I was impressed with the knowledge, training, and professionalism of Aaron, Stephen, Hector, & Kevin. In fact, Stephen diagnosed a hidden problem with my supply line that would have been easy to miss or overlook, but ultimately was the likely reason my previous HVAC unit failed 2 times in the last 10 years. Instead of overlooking the problem, he took the extra ~3.5 hrs to get the job done right despite the late hour of his discovery and the 96 degree heat on the day of installation. Needless to say, my wife and I were more than impressed and will recommend B&T to all of our friends and family. You can add another star to the 5 that are listed above.

My new HVAC system was installed yesterday. The team of Steven and Hector spent all day, with the exception of a lunch break, replacing the system. They were prompt and efficient. Steven answered all my questions and honestly, he was quite an enjoyable fellow to chat with. His knowledge about the system and his thermostat tutorial at the end of the day made me realize I made the right choice by calling B&T HVAC. I highly recommend them.

B&T HVAC was an excellent company to work with from the beginning of my search for a company to replace my HVAC system through the installation process. Aaron took the time to explain our options in detail and discuss the pros and cons of each. Steven and his installation crew were very professional, kept me updated throughout the process and completely cleaned up all trash ... even the branch clippings from the bushes surrounding the heat pump!

We had a new 2-zone high efficiency HVAC system installed and we could not be happier with the process. It started with a visit to assess our needs, were provided a thorough estimate which included a good range of options (price vs efficiency), a discussion with the owner to clarify a few items, to an easy confirmation of system and installation date. The installation team, led by Steven, was outstanding. They were on time, professional, and our install (new variable speed natural gas furnace, AC) is truly a work of art. They had to work around a few issues that existed with our old system, and they did a wonderful job. Steven spent a long time with us explaining our new thermostats, how they worked, how to program them, etc. Our new system (American Standard) is extremely quiet. Steven spend time discussing the warranty, service process, Duke rebates, etc. and put us at ease about any future needs - just call the office and they will help! We highly recommend B&T HVAC.

About a year ago I wrote a review praising B&T HVAC for the job they did replacing my 2 old units with new top-of-the-line ones, in late Feb.2024. Let me tell you what happened since then!

Spring, Summer, Fall, both units worked amazingly well. Day before Christmas 2025 the smaller unit had quit working during the night. Called B&T, they came that day and got it working again. Likewise. the day after Christmas. The breakdowns were repeated as were B&T’s attempts to figure out what was causing them. Over the next month and a half they replaced the 3 major components that had gone bad. The “engine” (main computer that controls pretty much everything), the Compressor (moves the fluid that creates heat or cold in the house), and the smaller computer that measures the temp and decides whatever it decides to help keep the heat pump working up to par.

The owner, Aaron, got American Standard involved, early on, to the extent they were willing to help. Then two weeks before American Standards 1 year “parts and labor free” warrantee was due to expire, Aaron took it upon himself to order a new unit which got installed by his people 1 day before the 1-year warrantee expired. He squared it with American Standard so I didn’t have to worry about any expense.

All of the people at B&T were amazingly pleasant and helpful during this process. I can only imagine how many days were ruined by early morning calls that started, “Hi it's Rhys at (my address), we’ve got a problem. They kept their cool, though, and always had people out to fix the problem that same day.

I’m confident I can say: You will not find another HVAC company as well run, as friendly, honest, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep their customers happy.

Aaron, Heather, Lynn, Sharon, Branden, Jay, Matt, and all the rest whose names I can’t remember; thank you for an amazing job done in some of the coldest temps we’ve seen in some time.

I was quite pleased with my first B & T HVAC experience. My initial call to verify an unsaveable compressor and quote a new system went smoothly. Aaron was so patient and knowledgeable when explaining the current offerings to me, and my install seems to be fantastic. Steve, Hector, and Hunter were the install crew and knocked it out within a day on a Friday but I never got the sense they were rushing to their weekend as all the proper attention was given to our new system and explaining it to me.
If I were to give a critique, it would be that some sort of contact between my office call and technician calling me shortly before his arrival 6 hours later. Overall a great experience and would recommend.

We're so grateful that B&T HVAC is the company we use for heating and air. Their service over the years has been stellar. We recently purchased a new HVAC system from them, and the installation crew was fantastic. The crew worked so hard on a very cold and dreary day....and we were happy with all of their work. Stephen, on the installation crew, kept us informed of everything they were doing and made sure we had all of our questions answered before they left. I know it was a very long day for them, but we were so appreciative of all of the work they did. Great company....and one that we highly recommend!

B&T replaced 3 very old HVAC units at an office that I own. The install was all in one day and B&T sent a lot of people. The crew was so nice and very professional. What I like about B&T is that they are very good at problem solving. One of the units had some issues and they spent a long time trying to figure out how to fit everything in and had to upgrade the electrical panel, too. Their maintenance contract price is very reasonable, too. I plan on switching my contract to B&T when it's due.

We installed American Standard heat pumps. From what I read, American Standard is basically a Trane, if anyone is concerned about brands and quality.

Our heat pump system gave out during the coldest week of the year. Aaron was very responsive and sent estimates and descriptions for all model options for American Standard systems. We made our choice, and he set up an installation date for a few days later.

The crew (Stephen, Hector, Kevin) showed up exactly on time. Though it was below freezing out there, they were cheerful, professional, and efficient throughout the day. When the system installation was finished, Stephen patiently explained every function and feature of the menu-rich thermostat before they all left.

We absolutely recommend B&T.

I was introduced to B&T through my home standby generator vendor, Generac. We had a very odd intermittent issue where the generator would sometimes fail to start, but only sometimes. The technician was able to figure out it was due to a bad solenoid and since B&T is an officially Generac partner he was able to get it fixed at no cost to me. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for any generator or HVAC needs.

Our furnace broke during a recent cold snap, and we needed a replacement HVAC system as soon as possible. Aaron, the owner, provided the most detailed estimate with multiple options and competitive pricing. Even though it was a holiday week, he was responsive and made sure all of our questions were answered before we made a decision. Our installation manager, Stephen, and his crew were knowledgeable and courteous. We are grateful for B&T HVAC and the wonderful service and quality HVAC system they provided.

I had my upstairs AC unit and coil replaced a couple of weeks ago. Jay Meadows came to the house to assess my situation very honestly and stated I didn't need a furnace replacement which is very professional. Aaron the owner gave me options and spoke with me personally on questions I had. I have used them for service calls prior. The install was great!

Thanks to B&T's regular maintenance program, my old contractor grade system lasted much longer than any of my neighbors. When I needed an expensive repair on the old system, I chose to replace it with an American Standard system. B&T was great about getting me scheduled within the timeframe I needed. B&T recently installed a new American Standard HVAC system to replace our 10 year old “builder grade” unit. I’m really glad we decided to go with system replacement vs attempting a repair. The American Standard system looks beautiful and appears to be installed in a high quality workmanship manner. I really appreciate Aaron’s no pressure approach and willingness to answer all of my questions. I’d like to recognize the install crew Stephen, Kevin, and Kevin for their professionalism, expertise, and kindness. They arrived on time, finished ahead of schedule, and cleaned up as though they were never there. I am confident we will get many comfortable years out of our new investment. PS: sign up for a maintenance plan. Having a technician inspect you system twice a year can potentially extended the life of your system and prevent a mid season breakdown.

We had our double system HVAC replaced yesterday by B and T HVAC> The team showed up on time and took great care to cover stairs and carpets to avoid stains and dirt. A full team of 5 workers were here all day and were efficient and very pleasant in our home. They cleaned everything up at the end of the evening and stayed late to complete the job in one day! We are very pleased. They gave us a full overview of our system, helped set up the app on our phones, and explained everything so we knew how to get the most out of the app and the thermostat options. After receiving several recommendations to use B&T HVAC, I called and spoke with Aaron. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to get us on the schedule quickly.
Last week B&T HVAC arrived early to replace a dying 20 year old unit in my mother-in-law's house. Steven with a crew of four completely removed the old unit from outside and the attic and also got the new unit into the attic with not one scratch or gouge on the walls. At the end of the day, the equipment was installed in a professional manner by a highly skilled crew that seemed to truly enjoy working together. Steven took extra care in explaining how to operate the new thermostat and important maintenance information to me and my mother-in-law.

I think this is a great, local company! The office staff, owners, and service people always answer all of my questions regarding the HVAC system. They answered all of my extensive questions about replacing the HVAC system and helped make sure that I picked the right unit for me. Overall, great customer service, reliable, and helpful.

Came out right away for an emergency service which was great. Paid $300 for the diagnostic check, plus parts and labor. 4 days later AC breaks again and they want to charge me another 200$ to come out and look at it. Maybe it's me, but it appears your technician missed something in the diagnostic the first time around. Lost a customer and a referral source

Just purchased a 3-ton HVAC unit from B & T HVAC, Pittsboro. It was an excellent experience all around. Aaron, the owner/salesperson, submitted a well-detailed proposal at an excellent price. We had 4 bidders on the project. The install team of three (Steve, Danny and Kevin) called to say they were on their way and arrived on time. They were friendly, well-spoken and knowledgeable about their products. The trucks were well-marked and the staff were in logoed uniforms. They paid great attention to things that matter like: protecting our floors with covers, being good, effective communicators, and doing an install that was a very high quality in its attention to detail. This group obviously works on having their act together and thinking about the mind of the consumer. Would happily work with them again.

B&T HVAC replaced my entire system a couple of weeks ago. Our old system had constant humidity and temperature control problems. Our new American STD 18 SEER system works fantastically ! We are currently in an unprecedented heat wave and have been extremely comfortable. B&T was a pleasure to work with from recommendations to the install itself. This is a quality company with a quality product. I am very happy we followed the advice of a friend and gave this company a try. 5 stars all the way !

TL;DR - Some clerical errors given peak season but workers are great and have a good vibe. They provide American Standard systems and are thorough. We have enjoyed working with them.

When we bought our house in 2022, we knew that there was not a lot of life left in the HVAC unit so we had three companies come out to give a quote for replacement. Of the three, the representative from B & T was the one that I liked most. Jay was honest and up front and was not trying to sell me on a particular unit or the company itself. He informed me on things to look for and also stated that they supply American Standard systems, which was another plus. While the overall estimate from B&T was a little higher than the others, I felt comfortable working with them long term.

Just a week ago, our HVAC did go out and we had to replace the unit. I called B & T for an updated quote, as it had been 1.5 years since they had given us one. They provided the updated quote the same day, for three tiers of systems. My husband and I were able to speak with Aaron within the week and ask our questions & we made a decision on an intermediate 18 SEER/97% furnace for our home based on the quote that was provided. This was about $2500 more than in 2022 simply because of inflation, etc.

However, we then learned him Aaron that the updated quote that we were provided was not correct, & that it was actually much more than what we had been quoted. This was a bit of a disappointment because we're not sure where the disconnect was given that we had just received an updated quote for 2024 a few days prior.

Given the significant difference in cost between 17 SEER & 18 SEER in the updated quote, we went with the 17 SEER/97% variable speed system.

Our installation was scheduled for Tuesday but Aaron called on Monday morning and said that they had an opening and got us taken care of earlier. The guys who came out (led by Steven) were GREAT! They worked quickly and efficiently and kept us in the loop throughout the process. At the end, Steven spent an hour walking us through the thermostat settings and the unit itself, as well as how to optimize its use for peak efficiency. We really enjoyed working with the guys that came out and look forward to working with them in the future!

B&T installed a new 18 SEER variable speed American Standard A/C and variable speed gas furnace in my home. It is a pleasure to work with these folks! They won't sell you anything you don't need, and no high pressure sales tactics. They explain everything they are doing, and answer all your questions. Competent, professional, and they provide reliable service.

The B&T team did an excellent job installing my new, main AC/Furnace unit, and they cleaned up afterwards. They went the extra mile to make sure the PVC encapsulation material was wrapped around the new footings and drainpipes were installed.

I have been using B&T for sporadic service on my old HVAC system for a few years. When it came time to replace my old system, (a/c and furnace) I called a few companies as well as B&T.. Although not the cheapest, they were the most knowledgeable and professional. I was a GC for many years and very particular about what tradespeople do in my home. I am very please with their suggestions of the different systems as well as what I ended up with. I'm glad I choose this company.

After using another company for over 10 years, it was time to go with someone else. I opted to have B&T to come out and service our two A/C units for the Summer. Bryant came out and did a fantastic job. He was a really nice guy, professional and did one heck of a checkup on our units. He was here almost 2 hours and was cleaning, checking and testing the whole time. Being someone who used to do HVAC years ago, I can tell you that he was honest, accurate and correct in his assessments. I am very impressed. I've never had anyone check our systems like this before. I am very happy that I chose B&T for our annual services and sure hope we get Bryant back in the Fall for our heating checkup.

We recently had a new 4 ton air conditioning unit installed. While we Weren’t prepared for such a financial investment I do have to say that the installers and technicians that were at our home were top notch. Danny Antonio and Steve were very knowledgeable very respectful and communicated thoroughly. Would recommend this company many times over.

Johnny, Tommy, and Lalo were great. They got here at 8:30 am and had my old unit out and my new HVAC unit in, everything was finished at 3pm. I'd highly recommend B & T HVAC.
