We had a crack in our foundation causing water to leak into our basement soaking the carpet. B Altmans Waterproofing is highly recommended on the Next door app, so we made the call. Barry, the owner answered the phone and came right over. He examined the foundation wall and explained his method and product that he uses. The epoxy he injects goes through the wall straight through to the dirt eliminating any need to dig a French drain. Since we have a high water table, nothing could be done until the water stopped draining. It felt like forever, but Barry kept in touch reassuring us that all is going to plan and it is drying and will stop soon. His reassurances were very calming. Once it was dry, his worker came put down drop cloths and got to work. We recently had some heavy rain and everything stayed dry!! I noticed some dark spots on the Sheetrock in the corner of my finished basement. I wasn’t sure what was causing the moldy looking wall.

I realized that water was puddling at the bottom of the basement wall when it rained. The water was also hidden under the concrete. Even when the keyway looked nearly dry, I could feel water, mud and wet rocks under the concrete floor.

I had used Mr. Altmans service previously about 2 years ago to deal with water penetration through one of my foundation walls. I was extremely happy with the work he did then, and have had zero problems with that issue ever since. I Know A Guy! My husband and I are fortunate to have collected a handful of exceptional "connections" when it comes to serious work and investments and B. Altman is one of them. After interviewing several people for the job of waterproofing and finishing our basement, Barry’s presentation and vision impressed us most. However as we know the most important part of the contract between the customer and contractor are the results. Barry and his team delivered!
Both Barry and his workers, especially Mimo and Carlos, were totally professional and respectful and very reliable. They worked almost every day for many hours until the project was completed. I made an appointment with him and he never showed up and when I called to confirm he told me he was too busy and that’ll he’ll come tomm And hangs up. He never shows up the day I call no answer.
