Had a fairly significant bit of water intrusion from a failed joint between a chimney case and an edge of our back roof area. The great Team at Avalanche came for a look, provided an early estimate, and then as winter began to fade, came out to get started. The crew of Colton Smith, Jon Casik, Michael Malafronti, Robert Hope, and others (may have missed 1-2 names) did a great job on the demolition and rebuild, including replacing a few lost shingles while up there. Results are great and we should be finished up with all very soon! Daily end of day calls and updates on progress (written and photos) were very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Avalanche Construction has provided excellent repair service to my property and continues to answer the call for emergency repair requests. Most recently, Logan, Colton, and Zak provided emergency repairs to my roof after the recent storm with high winds that ripped through Eagle River. Great team, and definitely my go to construction company.

We called Avalanche Construction Inc. and they were able to arrive the same day for a roof and attic inspection after heavy rain and wind. Logan's communication while on-site (and I was away) was very professional. He sent photos of the roof's current condition and advice on repair options.

After mentioning concerns with damp insulation, Logan accessed the attic and took photos while passing on information via phone and text.

The owner's then called to confirm concerns passed from their team and acknowledged they'd be in touch soon with option for repairs, if needed. The level of communication and detail Avalanche has shown us on day one has convinced us this company is our first call for renovation or repair needs in the future.

Kate and Logan were super polite and professional. They were able to come assess our storm damage and day earlier than what they originally expected. They have not completed any work for us a of yet, but if this is any indication of their service levels, we will be thrilled!

Mackenzie was friendly and quick to setup an estimate for repairs of my roof after a windstorm. Logan arrived very shortly later that afternoon and was, friendly, respectful, and courteous. He took pictures, shared them with me, and explained next steps. So far, great communication and service!

We used Avalanche Construction to replace our windows, repair siding and paint our house. To start, communication with this company is unmatched by any other company we have used. They checked in after every day they did work to make sure we were happy with the work they did and asked if we had any questions. James, Joe, Logan and Mathias were so nice, professional, and personable! They were so accommodating with my wife who works from home and her schedule. We are so happy with the quality work they completed inside and outside of our home. We could definitely tell this company treats their employees and customers like family. I highly recommend Avalanche Construction for your next home remodel or project. I hired them for a shingle roof replacement and adding attic insulation. Avalanche was the only contractor that would explain why my roof needed and should be replaced. Everything I additionally requested was completed during the project (boxes over can lights, ventilate bathroom fans through the roof per code, add baffles, create more soffit vents for proper ventilation, and adding blown in insulation). They were very thorough and up front with cost of the project. When they came across an issue they immediately contacted me for recommendations. It's difficult to find reliable and responsible contractors. You will be in good hands with this crew. I want to personally thank Axle, Colton, Jon, Mike, Logan, Robert, Zak, & Lloyd. We recently had a new roof put on by Avalanche and could not be happier. We were due for a new roof this summer and had a number of shingles come off in the big wind storm earlier this year, making the project more urgent. Kate got us the sample books right away so we could choose our shingles and gutters. Rick was able to get us scheduled quickly and explained the process clearly. Colton & Zak did the roof work. They put in long days, cleaned up the site daily and gave a verbal status at the end of each day in addition to uploading photos to the Buildertrend website, and were super nice and considerate. They were friendly and tolerant with our dog and the loaner dog we had that week. Kate sent a text each night to see if we had any questions. We are very happy with the results - the quality, value and crew, all fantastic. Highly recommend!

I'm bumping this up to a 2, because I didn't (and now wouldn't) have them do work. But would I recommend this company? No. Original review was: "This company is awful to work with. I couldn’t even get through the quote process with them. Maybe they are fantastic craftsmen or maybe they are not, but I won’t even bother calling them again. What a waste of time."

I’ve had a great experience working with Rick, Logan and Dan! Very responsive, professional and thoughtful about the work. I have a really complicated ongoing roof project. They’ve come and replaced some insulation as well as cleared snow and ice dams from the problem areas. I’m looking forward to the big work this summer. If I could give 6-stars, it would be because of Kate who does a phenomenal job keeping me in the loop and following up. Wonderful company to work with!

Colton, Jacob and Logan took excellent care removing snow from our roof. They cleared our paths and deck from all the snow as well. They also took time to talk to us about the causes of an ice dam and ways to help mitigate it in the future. Highly recommend their service and customer care.

Really quick turnaround with a short (for anchorage standards) wait list. Easy to schedule up jobs and payments with a good app for progress tracking. Office contacts you everyday to checkup if you need anything. Super helpful and good job done!

Avalanche to the rescue! The winter of winter of 22-23 was brutal for many South Central Alaskans. The ice dam situation was ridiculous. By the time we realized a skylight leak was the root cause of some major interior damage, we could not find any roofing companies available or willing to touch a skylight... through the end of 2023! We were desperate. When all hope was waning, the phone rang. Kate called to let us know Avalanche had a cancellation, so she was able to send someone out to diagnose the problem and devise a solution. Fast forward to today... James & Rick came out to rectify the problem before the snow flies! They were a very professional team. The creative solution of adding metal flashing was exactly what was needed to hold us off until next Spring when we can replace the offending skylight. After James & Rick had finished the job, they provided pictures of their neatly completed work. We truly cannot thank the Avalanche team enough for their compassion and professionalism!

I had Christmas lights installed a few years ago and they have been fabulous, well recently my lawn maintenance people cut the cords to my lights on accident. I called Avalanche to see if they could take a look and fix it. They stayed in constant communication with me through the process and sent Logan out to fix them. He made it easy and quick. Logan was super! He communicated clearly with us as he investigated the source of a water leak (water dripping from upstairs into the kitchen below). He was respectful & thoughtful in his exploration … minimizing the size of the openings in the walls & ceiling. He cleaned up when he was done. Extremely bad windstorm blew a roof beam from my neighbor and put a hole on my roof. Logan & Lloyd Triggs from Avalanche Construction assessed the roof, found the hole, and temporarily patched it so the water wont drip inside the house. Extremely thankful for their help, sent me the before and after they patched the roof. Great guys, professional, and excellent patching work. THANK YOU!!

Avalanche Construction replaced my shingled roof. They kept me informed daily during the entire process through verbal communication and posting photos so I could actually watch the progress. The employees, Cole, Colton, Jacob, and Logan were extremely polite and exceptionally hard workers. They were careful to protect our flowers and grounds from debris when working and cleaned up our property nightly before leaving .They are all a true asset to the company. Got our place last June of 2022 really Fall in love with the place and location but as the place was built in 1984 things needed some fixing and finally got them done this month.

We contacted Avalanche for repair our chimney chase. Reasonable priced, professional work, we had Wes who kept touch, with daily briefs and picture uploads in the app..which is an excellent product..we also chose to have Avalanche paint the whole house competitive pricing for job, crew did great job and they stand behind their work.

Replaced cedar siding and trim on exterior of home in preparation for painting. The crew was very efficient and respectful of our property. Pablo was friendly and ensured the job was completed to our satisfaction. We would definitely use Avalanche for any property repairs or remodeling.

Flora did a great job painting the trim on our garage door repair. She was thorough and did a great job. The whole door looks great. You can’t tell a new driver rammed a car into it at all.

Ice dams caused water damage to drywall, insulation, and subfloor in multiple parts of my home including behind kitchen cabinets, a bathroom, and a high entry ceiling. Avalanche construction helped us assess and resolve these unexpected renovations from prompt roof clearing to final paint touches. Everyone who visited our home was professional, skilled, and so very kind. They took great care to make sure my home was operational with young kids even as work was ongoing and allowed us to specify what aspects of the repairs we needed help with vs contributions we could make to offset the unexpected cost. Avalanche Construction has been one of the best contractor experiences I've had in the 22+ years of living in my home. Kudos to Kate who handles all the details and is key to creating that positive experience. I was appreciative of her constant communication, letting us know the night before if/when they would be there the next day and checking to see if we had questions at the end of the day. She was very responsive to any questions I had and ensured I had follow up promptly. All of the crew were courteous and professional. They were very accommodating of our dog's anxiety as they came in each day and it was easy to work from home while they were here. I also really appreciated how clean they left our house each day, so considerate of the rest of the house. It's never easy doing a house project, but they made it as easy as possible. We're also grateful to them working with us on an issue we had with our roof that was impacting our bathroom ceiling, that they provided the wrap around services for that and were considerate of timing was huge. I really cannot say enough positive things about how wonderful their entire staff is. There are small details that feel like small annoyances when you spend this kind of money, but their costs are completely in line with what anyone is charging and their work is solid. I have already recommended them to others and have asked for quote for another project. We would use them again.

Replaced our roof, replaced the gutters and added gutter covers. The work was high quality and everything was cleaned after the job was completed. We are extremely happy with the work and the way we were treated This is a high quality outfit. I will use them again if the need arises.

I have only positive feedback to the crew, administration, and project management from the very beginning till the very end.
Project Management was on top of the continuously changing scope and adapted schedule and resources accordingly. Kept me fully informed and engaged giving me several options to choose from with detailed explanations of all pros and cons. The most important - kept all the premises without deviations.
Administration kept me fully informed of the progress made and plan forward on daily basis. They provided full documentation as the work progressed and updated daily reports with photos and video for future reference. Avalanche Construction Inc. has a very neat set up website where you can access your project library with all related documentation and finance even after the project is done. They were quick in response and very patient with my replies.
The crew is highly professional! They are proud of what they do! The construction site was always clean and organized. The roof had been secured each night as it was a storm coming. The crew managed to work throughout the whole week of heavy rain and wind, and after the whole week of heat. Despite challenging weather conditions, the crew always had a high moral and were very cheerful. They did very detailed work without any compromises and shortcuts!! The theme of the work was “do it once for good!” With changing scope, they were very flexible and adapted quickly. They spent as much time with me on the construction site as I needed going through without skipping any details.

I highly recommend Avalanche Construction! My fence blew down a couple years ago and needed to be replaced. Avalanche gave me a competitive bid and we scheduled the work. Most impressive, in addition to the quality of the work, was the professionalism and outstanding communication. I really appreciated the almost daily updates on progress of the job. The crew worked well together and seemed to really enjoy the work. The crew came at different times of the day but I never worried because I knew what was going on if there were delays because of supplies or weather.
