ARC takes great care of our residential central AC. For spring start up and in emergencies ( to replace a needed fan motor), they are accessible, professional & really helpful. This year the service assistant, Brandon brainstormed a solution to a minor but important issue & he engineered a really good solution! Thanks ARC. I highly recommend this business.
We have used ARC for our business and for our residence and the results have always been exceptional. The quality of the service is commensurate with the cost. They are not the cheapest, but they are the best value that we have encountered. The phone contacts are professional and when they say you will get a call back, you get the call. The techs are knowledgable and don't waste time. Examples of the service that they have provided includes serving our 4 rooftop HVAC units, replacing an old rooftop unit, servicing numerous refrigerated units inside the building and conducting preventive maintenance on all. At our residence ARC replaced our boiler with a state of the art unit when we had a catastrophic failure of the antique in our basement. They were there the day after ours failed, and once again while they were not the cheapest option, they handled the entire operation from cutting out the old unit and disposing of it to bringing in the new unit and installing the myriad of pipes and tubing resulting in a very clean and efficient install.
When the new rooftop unit from a leading manufacturer required warranty work, ARC handled it with the same speed and professionalism the they handle direct billed work. We never had to deal with anything beyond a phone call to them.
High marks to ARC. We have dealt with many other companies over the 14 years we've been in business and they are by far the best in every aspect that is important to us. Highly recommend.
ARC originally installed a Fujitsu mini-split system more than a year ago and, for the most part it has performed well. A few months ago, I had some siding done on the house and the last day at my house, one of the contractors put a sheet-rock screw through the power lead to one of the mini-splits.
Unfortunately, it rendered all of the mini-splits inactive and I called ARC to fix it. I was the one who discovered the screw through the wire so I told them what was, at least, the initial problem. ARC told me that I needed a licensed electrician to fix the power lead even though their installation tech (who's not an electrician) wired it in over a year ago. So I had to fix the wire before they'd even come out to my house.
After I fixed the wire, they arrived late on a Friday when I wasn't even home and did some trouble-shooting. An hour and a half later they came to the conclusion that there were 3 blown fuses and left.
2-weeks and a couple of my phone calls later, they finally received the fuses and came back to my house to install them. My siding people also left some of the "line-hide" duct work off and ARC's guys attempted to put it back together. Two hours later, they finally gave up and said that the "wire-hide" had been modified and I might need some new pieces.
So after 3.5 hours of labor I had a working AC but the "line-hide" duct-work, remains unfinished. ARC also charged me $24 for a truck-charge. Would this have been waived if they didn't bring their truck? To add insult to injury, the water heater that ARC installed at the same time as the AC system starting leaking around a "crimp" fitting. Apparently soldering is passe! They are choosing not to fix the water heater under warranty either!
I realize that a lot of this problem was not ARC's fault but what they did after the fact pisses me off. Can't fix a wire with a screw in it? Hour and half to find 3 blown fuses? 2-weeks to get these (highly specialized) fuses? 2 hours to figure out that the "line-hide" had been modified? How about some good will because the water heater is leaking through one of their lousy crimp fittings? Lastly, the service manager Scott, took two weeks to get back me and tell me "It is what it is". I'm paying the bill ($384) but they'll get no recommendation from me!
