Appomattox True Value

I dropped my Echo Chainsaw off for repair/warranty back in mid October or Early October. I told the store manager it will be a few weeks before I can pick it up with my work schedule. They told me that's fine. So November rolls around called "what's the balance on the saw so I can pick it up? You'll have to call Back Friday there's no tag on it. Called Saturday and they sold my $350 Chainsaw. They wouldn't even give me a other saw or anymoney. Poor business from True Value and Lack of Communication!!!!

I needed a light sensor replaced and True Value came through investigating the part number and confirming it was the same as the one I had though the numbers were a bit different. Really appreciated their staff going the extra to help!

Went to Appomattox True Value for small screws to repair a lawnmower. Janelle helped me find exactly what I needed. Also enjoyed the garden plants of spring.

Always have what I need and the folks are very friendly. I would give them 10 stars if I could

I am always happy when I use Tru Value in Appomattox. They are all friendly, helpful, professional and really care about me as a customer. They are the place left anywhere close that still does the work/repair on my Kerosene unit. Thank you TruValue in Appomattox!

The are a good company but just a word of advice to check your tools before you rent them. We got a damaged chainsaw and wasn't able to take it back right away, but when we took it back the next day they gave us a full refund and told us they usually only do it within a few hours after renting. But because the chain was so badly beaten I guess they felt obliged.

Stopped in looking for 1 thing and left with a few things. A very nice store with a great selection. Anything from grilling stuff to a rental center where you can rent tools for your home projects.

Wonderful hardware store. The staff are incredible and friendly. They are knowledgeable about the products and very attentive. The store is always clean and well stocked.

We do a lot of business in Appomattox and I stopped in to get a wire wheel attachment. The guy that was with me my employee was walking around the store looking at what they had because he had never been there before. He was followed by two employees of true Value. They then started following me. This was the most embarrassing thing ever. I can promise you that me or this company that has five trucks on the road will never do business with true value in Appomattox again.

Stopped here to fill Propane. This was the closest propane filler to James River State Park. Team member was helpful and quickly filled our tank.

Very nice visit. Bought some carriage bolts, paint, local honey and pine mulch. They have so many healthy looking plants and the people working there are so great at helping you find whatever it is you need. Love the variety of plants. Gotta watch my wife, she will buy all the plants they have there. Lol keep up the great work.

I stopped in to have keys made and was very pleased with the price as well as the quick friendly staff who got me in and out quickly.

I aways go here instead of the local big box store. Staff always meets me at the door asking if I need help. On this stop the owner even helped me. I had two pieces of chain cut and keys made. I was in and out within 15 minutes.

Has everything you need in easily accessable grocery style aisles for easy in and out shopping. Reasonable prices and fantastic service make for a great experience too!

Customer service was outstanding. I was offered help by 4 different staff. As I checked out one had my big stuff outside at my vehicle.

About a year ago, I planned to never go back. I had stopped, gotten out of the car and started to go in. There were a couple or three teenage staffers outside. The way they silently looked at me, like they were the pope kids at a prom, and I was the dumpy poor girl,.. never said a word or greeting,, and looked downright disgusted that I had the audacity to patronize the store... I just got back in my car and left.

The last time, though, a man was very helpful and friendly while I was looking for specific yard tools. The cashier was no no sense and not personable, but dude made it a better experience.

Been coming here since opening. Workers will load your vehicle even if 1 bag. They know my truck n name. Like family.

I wanted to rent a trencher for use on Easter Sunday. Since they are not open on Easter (I totally agree with), I asked if I could pick it up late Saturday and return it first thing on Monday. Of course they said yes, as long as I paid for 2 days of rental!

When asked the manager to work with me on the 2 day rental, he said that he had been burned before and would not change the 2 day rental. I went to Lynchburg and they offered a 1 day rental for the same time.

Guess I know where I will shop for future needs!

I own a spured dessert tourtise so I needed certain type of mulch which they allways have in stock. Great customer service.
