They tried to upsell an entire seat chassis to me for $4000. Told me there was a screw that seared off and couldn't be fixed, tapped or retrieved. I went into the parkinglot and unscrewed the seared screw using my fingers… it was loose… 10 outta 10 mechanic work, they didn't even try. Replaced it for ¢35, still got charged $225 for “service” resetting an error code.

Great service center with a quick turn around for an oil change and inspection as I was traveling the ALCAN. Reasonably priced as well relative to other local shops and the RAM dealer in Fairbanks ( $100 more expensive there).

Don't trust these guys about anything. They lie and they cheat about everything.
1) The sales person lied to me about the payload of a truck I leased. I even have the text of them telling that the exact truck I was leasing had a payload of 1600lbs. It turned out it had a payload of 950lbs. They then tried to weasel their way out of saying that they meant that is could get upto 1600lbs depending on the model. But this was a flat out lie. The text, and there answer, was very clearly about the very truck I leased.
I was very pissed about the whole thing.
2) They then called me a couple days later BEGGING, litterally BEGGING me not to leave a bad review on the automated followup survey as it would negatively affect them. I don't know why I complied, but when the survey came.. I just didn't fill it out.
3) Then today I get a letter notifing me that this Car dealer was charging people a $220 fee for a service that was wrongly advertised. Apparently they have been doing this for years. This car dealer came to an agreement "without admitting any wrongdoing" with the Alaska Attorney Generals office, to pay back all their customers $220. I am sure they are just doing that out of the kindness of their heart.

These guys are the definition of sleeze-ball salesman (and woman). Don't trust them. They lie and they cheat. I have the reciepts (as does the Attorney Genreal) to prove it. Stay far away form this corrupt business.

The original picture I saw the vehicle I purchased had a different set of wheels on it. They swapped them out with some other wheels. Besides the Factory ones that were on it. I’m very disappointed at what they did to me and it took them three weeks to get my truck ready to pick up so along with some of the other reviews, I’ve read these guys tend to lie quite a bit so don’t believe him when they tell you that it’s gonna be right out. Make sure you take a picture of the picture they show

If there was a lower rating I would give it. I made an appointment for my 2018 eco deisel in which the egr valve was out it had been recalled and supposedly replaced three years prior. Justin told me to bring it in on11/21/2024 in which it was he informed us that the mechanic called in sick so it would not be looked at until
Monday. Next excuse was another mechanic had a family emergency. Then they needed to wait for egr valve and it may take several weeks however for another $ 45.00 I could be bumped from 6th place to 1st in line to get the part. I did not think that was fair to the others who were waiting and declined. He then approached my spouse with the same deal it too was declined. After several weeks and working with Ram Cares Justin called and said the part would be there on Monday now granted this was two months later. Then next excuse was UPS had lost the part and we would have to wait. Finally received a call from Justin saying part was in and truck was ready to be picked up. It was picked up drove for approx 70 miles and engine light came on again. Justin was notified truck returned to them had to wait for parts supposedly. Hopefully it is fixed now. They had the truck for approx 3 months. There were more recalls on the truck. Justin would not answer whether they were fixed or not and it was not mentioned on invoice. I do not recommend Anchorage Chrysler to anyone and will never purchase another vehicle from them let alone an Eco deisel

I had a great experience at Anchorage Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram service department. Justin Arkell stayed in contact with me through out my installation on my new truck. He even informed me when something went wrong and was honest about it. Justin and his manager came up with a solution and it was resolved. I appreciate their time and dedication.

One of my worst mistakes of my life bringing my truck to this service center. There is not enough room on the internet to describe all that went wrong. In summary, took weeks to just “diagnose,” impossible to get a hold of unless I physically took time off work and found a ride to go there in person to make sure they were doing something, anything with my vehicle. The only thing that surpassed their total disregard for basic customer service was their incompetence.

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Stay Away from Chrysler

Chrysler claims their technicians are certified, but based on our experience, they clearly don’t know how to properly service their own vehicles. We were forced to bring our 2024 Pacifica to the dealership for repairs to avoid losing our warranty, yet the work was sloppy and incomplete.

The windshield was replaced but still has issues. The rearview mirror keeps popping off. The camera was never recalibrated — a serious safety oversight, especially with modern vehicles that rely heavily on accurate sensor and camera systems for lane assist and collision avoidance. We also now have concerns about potential frame integrity issues, which Chrysler has completely ignored.

When we reached out again after the same issues reappeared, the dealership refused to help and told us to take the vehicle to a third party — even though they’re the ones who caused the problems in the first place.

This is the worst customer service we’ve ever experienced from an auto manufacturer. Chrysler is unreliable, unprofessional, and dangerous. Avoid at all costs.

Recently bought a car from them, next day wife noticed a clunk noise while driving and turns out it was loose break caliper. This took me all of 3 minutes to spot. Very obvious to a self taught mechanic so I can’t believe that there was a pre sale inspection at all. Now In order to sleep I have to go line by line on this car and check everything myself. Not trustworthy in my opinion. If you’re buying used I would definitely get a secondary inspection from an independent mechanic.

Update: The dealership did contact me after and offered to have the vehicle looked over again by a mechanic.

My boyfriend and I went in to buy a vehicle, found one that we liked, took a walk around it to make sure everything looked okay and there was no damage, test drove it, and while we were competing the paperwork before closing time, they took it to fill the gas tank up.
On our way home, my bf drove it in front of me while I drove my old car behind him. I noticed the rear fender was sticking out. When I got home, there was paint scratches, a crack on the body of the vehicle, and the fender was sticking out. It appeared as if whoever gassed it up bumped something.
We went back the next morning to try to get our money back, as the car was not in the same condition that it was when we looked at it and took it for a test drive.
They said that they didn't have a refund policy, but that they could fix it. We said no, the value already deprecated and it wasn't in the same condition as when we agreed to purchase it.
They denied damaging the vehicle. I asked for video footage of when the car was pulled up to the front before we test drove it, and footage of when they drove it back up front after they had gassed it up. They denied having any footage. I asked what they would do if someone had vandalized their parked vehicles, and he stated that they have a security guard on site throughout the night.
After about an hour and a half of going back and forth with them, they said they can take $4,000 off the price that we paid for it, and said that we would have to fix the damage ourself. They said that was all they could do and gave us time to think about it.
Half an hour later, they came back and said they made a call, and we can get a refund.
I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND DODGE CHRYSLER of Anchorage. They were so unprofessional when we went back and it took two hours to get our money back after they damaged the vehicle while gassing it up.

I have been disappointed by this Jeep Dodge Ram service center.

I dropped off my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk three weeks ago with no known issues except it would not engage 4wd. It drove fine, and I was only taking it in for a lift gate recall. Justin said they would diagnose the 4wd. Justin called the next day and told me that they got it stuck in 4wd low with the rear locker on and that the vehicle could not drive outside of the parking lot. They did not have the parts and the repair would cost more than the vehicle is worth. Justin told me to come pick it up.

I said that I just wanted it in the condition that I dropped it off in. Just get it out of 4wd and we are good to go. I don't need anything extra, nothing for free, just return it the way you got it. I have been by four times to ask but never given a solution and I have yet to hear back in three weeks. I am active duty military and need a resolution.

On June 6 2024 I bought a used 2021 Ford f-150(love the truck). It is now jan 6 and I just picked up the plates for the vehicle. It took them 7 MONTHS to get the registration sorted and after looking at the registration it expires in September... I've been very patient through this whole ordeal and I have had to get several temporary plates. To have the registration expiring 9 months after I paid the 200 for the two year registration is just a slap in the face (they will mail the check... hopefully it doesn't take 7 months this time) hopefully it isn't too late to submit an AG complaint so maybe it won't happen to the some other customer (in Alaska it is a $2k dollar fine for a dealer to take over 30 days to transfer registration to a new customer)

To put it simply, I am very dissatisfied with their service. If you don't have the proper paperwork to sell a vehicle... then don't

My experience with Anchorage Chrysler Dodge service center was better than expected. I have been having issues with my vehicle for a few months now. I have been to multiple shops and even had new tires put on my vehicle until now no one has said anything to me about one of my rims being bent. You would think the tire shop where my new tires were put on would have told be but no, they did not. I am still working on getting my vehicle concerns resolved with Anchorage Chrysler Dodge service center. Justin has been very helpful and informative, and I would recommend this shop if you are having issues with your vehicle and have tried other places with no resolve.

Very disappointed this morning. Received a recall for 2022 Cherokee about 2 months ago with instructions and a number to call. I called the number and spoke to what I believe was a AI robot asking questions. Stated somebody would contact me to set up and appointment. A couple weeks later I received another letter stating I still needed to get an appointment. This time I called local dealerships who were weeks out on service appointments.

This morning I went in for my appointment at 7:45 AM. Got there, parked and went inside. Talked to the person at the desk who typed some stuff into the computer and marked me off on his paper as showing up. Instructed me to pull up to the garage doors and in then somebody would contact me there. Did as instructed. That person showed up quickly and gave me a service ticket and then pointed to the doors for the waiting lounge and told me go on back in and they would contact me when completed. Almost 2 hours later a person comes back and calls my name. Tells me my car has not been looked at yet because I did not check in. Pulled out my service ticket and showed that I had indeed checked in. If I did not check in then how did my car get in the back and how did you know I was in the lounge. As of now my vehicle still has a recall issue and when I receive a third letter O will instruct them to check the revies for mine.

Customer service for this issue will be a grade of F-

Justin was awesome! I had some lackluster service from another jeep dealership in town. I had a check engine light for several months. I recognize these are not always easy to fix. The first dealer couldn’t be bothered to have a mechanic actually scheduled to work the issue. Justin and the team at Anchorage Jeep diagnosed the problem and moved out to repair!

Not pleased with the help that I got while I was in there. All I wanted to do was look at a new truck. I didn’t say anything about trading in my wrangler. They immediately said I wouldn’t get much if I did trade it in but it only a few years old and has low miles. They went straight to talking money instead of letting me look at the truck I wanted to buy. This place is very unprofessional and don’t care to help you. This place lost my business.

Friendly staff. Was ready to buy a 2022 overland gladiator , however I found out it was a lemon law buyback. They failed to disclose this key fact in negotiations. Seems very dishonest. Now I am not sure if I trust the dealership to service the Jeep I bought. Where else will they act dishonest and borderline fraudulent??? Buyer beware!!!

Got a vehicle Aug 10.
Sept 30 no tags no bank loan info.
Finance manager says was banks fault.

Today find out finance manager didn't catch things such as 2 same phone number or a pay stub we think he lost.
Another finance person caught all the manager messed up.

Including wrong address for the bank.
Our stuff was sent to this address.
Editing to add everyone today was great at trying to resolve this issue.
I really believe the finance person today should be the manager as he caught all the managers mistakes.

Was our info compromised? Was our identities stolen?

We still have no perm plates.
Got a warning ticket cause we got no window to put paper plate in.

How can a company not have oversight over a finance manager?
Someone needs to audit the one in charge of money.

Wife was talking to me about the ineptitude of finance manager a couple walked out they were gonna buy a 96k vehicle.

The finance manager caused that sale loss on top of not getting the money from the bank since Aug 10.

How much more money does the manager got to lose the ibusiness before someone notices or cares.

We don't have to have the vehicle it was a want.
We still thinking of just turning in the keys that is how upset we are.

Others I do not blame.even the bank is blameless.
A finance manager should have caught all these mistakes let alone contact us not us contacting them.
That shows intent to create problems for us intentionally.

The latest was reported by bank only yesterday so that I do not fault anyone over.

We have went every few years for new vehicles.
We will never come back as long as that finalce manager is there.

Editing to add everyone today was great at trying to fix this I think the finance guy this day should be the finance manager as he caught all his mistakes.

This dealership used to be very good. In the last five years, we've noticed the customer service slowly go downhill, to a point, I won't be using this dealership's service department again.

I've attempted to remediate the situation with the management, to which I received no response. Now I'm in for a follow up appointment for the same issue that they supposedly fixed and now they're saying it's "because of damage"...after the vehicle sat for three months. All of this after they've had my vehicle for a cumulative of three months this year alone.

If you have Justin as your service advisor, be prepared for him to never be in and constantly on vacation (he took four during the three months my vehicle was in the shop).

I'll choose a different dealer the next time I'm in the market for a new vehicle.

I stopped going to the OTHER place when they stopped answering their phones. Anchorage Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram made my oil change and tire rotation so easy, and they actually answer! If you're having problems with other places, give them a try. It's worth the drive!

Ugh... where to begin.
Charged $250 to "diagnose" after I told them what it was. ABS related and they had charged me around $1000 in parts / labor 3 years prior. They didn't replace everything they charged for at that time. The thing I asked to be replaced was the piece they said they replaced. They knew it needed replacing on a safety item. They charged for it but didn't replace it.

Update!!! I was frustrated and traced wiring between rear ABS connection and front of truck and found the wire harness tucked between cab and frame. Wires insulation was rubbed through and shorting. They told me they had tested forward. I don't see how they could get a "pass" test. They were just going to throw more parts at it for another $1000.

Bad business practices, ripped out by more than 1 employee, I ordered a part through carshild. The dealer received the package but did not install it on my vehicle but told me they never received it. I got in touch with CS, who gave me a tracking number to FedEx, and from their to the dealership , Every time I try to call the dealership my service advisor was never there and never returned my calls, I even had his email but he never replied to me. My truck sat there for a month, they got the part on the 5 of December and and sent word to car shield that my truck had been fixed and they were paid by car shield for the work at the same time telling me they have not received any thing. I was ripped off, so if you can find another mechanic for service, go there. Even the shop supervisor never called me back after I contacted him for help. That is really bad for a dealership as big as them, I can't afford to give my hard earned money like that. It's like they were prejudiced against me. Veterans, if you are black, you will not get what you pay for. No one called me back to express my concerns , just pay and leave.

I recently purchased a set of winter studless tires with the buy 3 and get the 4th one for a $1 campaign. The tires are great, price was as promised and the work was completed timely. A very positive experience and would recommend Anchorage Chrysler service dept to friends!!

This has been our all-time favorite dealership since we moved to AK over 40 years ago. My husband, our grown children, and I have purchased perhaps 15-20 new vehicles there, as well as a few used ones. Their dealership and service are unexcelled. The vehicles' prices are fair, they offer military benefits, and their showroom is spotless. There is also a small, comfortable waiting room for those of us who usually wait while our vehicle is being serviced, and snacks and good coffee are provided. There is a free shuttle service for those who need to head off to work or other appointments. The service workers are world-class! I expect my Jeep to outlast me, but if God forbid it needs to be replaced, Anchorage Chrysler DJR will definitely be the first place I go!

Oh yes...our latest snow let me know that I really needed snow tires. Justine Green helped me immediately...finding me some good quality studded snow tires at a decent price.
The tires were put on my car in one day. Now, I feel much safer driving around town...!
Once again...I appreciate how quickly my problem was solved.

George Fox was great! I wanted a specific used vehicle to give my daughter to use for college, George showed me everything that met my needs and kept on it till the perfect vehicle was traded. My daughter test drove the car and loved it but wanted to add a few things like a remote start, heated seats, and winterization needed for college in Fairbanks, The service department took care of all the add-ons and now she has the perfect college kid car!
