We built a custom home in Saint James Village and our GC was LakeCrest (who was fantastic). We decided on a metal roof and Amundson was the sub contractor. Our roof is beautiful but in January of 2023 a crazy snow storm happened. Our home was finished being built in November 2022. We had 15 feet of snow fall that winter. It was insane. The roof unfortunately did leak but honestly almost all roofs in the neighborhood leaked that year but Amundson and LakeCrest addressed what happened to our roof quickly and repaired it all. I noticed in some of these reviews that this company was spoken of so negatively and just felt that I needed to tell my story because it was not the same as others stories. Roofs leak ... it happens sometimes (especially where we live) but if you find a installer that is willing to step up and help... you have won! Amundson is highly recommended by me. Chris (the owner), Chris (the other Chris that works there) & Miguel (the lead installer on our home) were so responsive and really kind during all the needs we had. The roof is in perfect condition and installed beautifully.

Amundsun did repairs last September to the metal roof on the house we just purchased a month ago and did a shoddy job on it!

First off, they completely enclosed an exhaust pipe that was connected to the oil furnace in the home, which caused diesel fumes to exhaust inside the wall instead of outside, I will give them credit in getting someone out the same day to fix the issue but then they emailed me trying to charge for this repair even though they were at fault.

Secondly, they came out to do repairs for the previous owner in September, and in the invoice, it clearly says they "built a cricket for the skylight and did flashing for it", and in actuality, they just put a new metal panel over the old one and smeared a ton of roofing mastic in hopes it doesn't leak, which it did still leak.

I would not recommend them to anyone needing a metal roof or repairs.

They did a shoddy job, did not do the work they clearly entered in the invoice as doing, and charged a very high price for that work.

Poor quality workmanship on custom new home. They should be embarrassed about their craftsmanship. Our metal roof became airborne during the first windy day after installation and they will not return for any repairs because of their poor relationship with our general contractor. We are stuck with a poorly installed roof and no other roofing contractors will touch it for a repair since Amudson was the original installer. Beware! And pay attention to who your general contractor picks for your roof install!
