Alpine Heat Pumps

HVAC installers, plumbers and electricians all came to my home for the installation of my new heat pump, heat pump water heater and to upgrade my electric service to 200 amps. They were excellent at the job they did. Very nice people.

The service was quick the workers were friendly and hardworking. I am highly grateful and satisfied with how EVERYTHING WENT. THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING ❤️

The weather was awful. My plaster walls were uncooperative. And through it all, the team did the work with good humor and professionally.

Did a great job, walked me through Mass Save process and completed job sooner than expected. Submitted warranty and rebate quickly after job was done.

Techs were very professional and courteous! We had our young grandchildren in the house and they were very quiet too. I’d recommend them to anyone. Explained how system works and showed me how to use remotes. Cleaned up after and closed my gate.

They did an amazing job! I can't wait to have them come back and install another unit in my home! We are really looking forward for it. I 100% recommend the company.

I am not giving five stars because the exterior HVAC lines should be sealed with steel wool and caulking after installation so they can not penetrate the walls.
Field mice entered our walls through our new HVAC system. We had a wildlife specialist come and immediately say this was the entry point, and he sees this a lot. Once we sealed up the lines the issue was over. Just a heads up. However I would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone. We are very happy with our system otherwise.

We just had 4 mini splits installed by Alpine Heat Pumps. They were on time, clean, professional, and explained the whole process thoroughly. We would recommend them.

First off, the technicians are fantastic to work with. The Installation was great, the team was timely. Now with the bad.

We have had a unit in our home since March, it has broken down three times, all different parts failing in the unit. Each time this has happened on a weekend, where Alpine has absolutely zero service infrastructure. This happened once during a heatwave in which someone with a documented disability in the house around heat tolerance was told to ride it out and tough it out, they’d be able to look at it in a week. We listened begrudgingly as their alternative of hiring another HVAC tech and POTENTIALLY getting reimbursed for servicing their faulty installation/product at the cost of thousands of dollars seemed unpalatable for a household barely outside of paycheck to paycheck.

It took them six days to resolve this, during which the person with heat tolerance issues was ill and bed ridden. When service did come the Techs notated faulty installation of coolant lines and fixed it. That process took an additional four days to square away. The install team came to a different conclusion than their technician and fixed ANOTHER issue with the install, and within three weeks they were back again after the leaked coolant disappeared entirely, which of course, took another week to service.

We spoke to other people in the industry if this service quality was standard and was told no, this is pretty atypical from several people who don’t even know each other.

They refused to extend their service warranty despite one month of the entire summer us being without air conditioning due to faulty product and their inability to expedite resolutions in fear of not being able to install these same faulty products at New Customers homes.

Now we are in the winter, we’ve encountered our first snow, our first stretch of below freezing weather since we had this unit. And guess what? Ohh its broken again, on a weekend, with more cold weather, should I deplete my savings to front the cost on a system that nearly every other HVAC company has an on call tech for to resolve? That doesn’t seem like a responsibility that should fall on me.

I seldom write negative reviews but as we’ve had a system that is 9 months old and 5 of those months actively not in use, it’s pretty harrowing to think we have had 3 separate issues that rendered the unit as useful as a paperweight. The response from their administrative team has been, annoyed, apathetic, blaming us (even as their techs look at the units and see we run them pretty normally and it was install issues or faulty parts) a refusal to extend the warranty that they don’t honor anyway. Im afraid I know of at least six households in the area who have looked for heat pumps in this area and have recommended they look elsewhere and when they ask why, I tell them

“They look good, they’re fantastic at installing them. But if anything goes wrong? They don’t care about you.”

And Im sorry to say, but that rings very true to my experience.

The whole crew was very professional and did a great looking job. The new systems and upgraded power all came out great.

They were great workers. One person explained how to use the remotes and did well but we didn’t get enough information on how the overall system works.

We recently had our mini splits installed by Alpine Heat Pumps. They were recommended through the Mass Save program. These folks are wonderful to deal with. They got us on their schedule a few weeks out and then called us to ask if they could even start a day early. The installation was scheduled for 3 days start to finish. They managed to complete the job in 2 days! No cutting corners or skimping whatsoever. If I had to use one word to describe them it would be efficient. They had a great crew that worked so smoothly together. Extremely polite and considerate of our pets too. We have a few dogs and cats so it took a little juggling but it worked out fine. A little patience and communication on both sides kept the pets, crew, and us happy. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to anyone.

We are very happy with the work done by the team from Alpine Heat Pumps. They were hard-working, pleasant people to spend time with while they did the work. Workmanship was great, clean-up was fantastic, they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the installation.

We had a heat pump coil added to our existing propane furnace, and a heat pump water heater installed. Overall, fantastic experience from the project planning phase starting with Jason to the install day with Tiago. We're very glad we went with Alpine for our project.

Unexpected rain had two project crews at the house together. The Alpine Heat Pump crew were great about working around the other team. We made a small adjustment to the original placement plan that worked out great. They checked with me every time there was an option on installation and discussed the best plan. I work from home and was still able to work while they were here. They did an excellent job, it's beautiful and they cleaned up too.

Our install for heat pumps went well, but the original design resulted in some shaking of our pipes and walls. After several trips to our house to troubleshoot this, the last thing to do was to move the location of the outdoor unit. Frank was immensely helpful, spending numerous hours troubleshooting and ultimately relocating the unit. It is now running smoothly and quietly, providing steady heating and cooling for our entire house.

Chelsea was also wonderful, ensuring that we received quality work and were happy with the finished product. I can't wait to not feel the heat of summer this year!

Additionally, the units are WiFi friendly and have a useful smartphone app allowing us to change the temperature on each unit from anywhere in the house or world.

The whole process was clear and easy from start to finish. Installers were helpful and flexible, dealing creatively with some tricky circumstances in this old, weird house.

We wanted a second hot water tank/heat pump installed in an area of our new house that was not getting enough hot water. Alpine helped us diagnose the problem, which included an area where pipes ran outside, exacerbating the problems we were experiencing, and offered a range of solutions.

The work was completed promptly and 100% on budget, including re-routing the pipes to be totally indoors. The sales team, installer, and electrician were all top notch, and the new system is functioning perfectly. They even set it up so that when our older tank fails, we may be able to run exclusively off of our new heat pump. Either way that works out, we're totally satisfied with the new unit and how the job was completed, and would not hesitate to use Alpine again should the need arise.

Installation went smoothly AANE they took the time that was needed even though it meant they had to come back a 2nd day.

We are pleased with the the entire process starting with the initial visit from James. After discussions with him, our plans changed and it has worked out well. The installation of the new heating system was great. The electrician was wonderful and spent time helping us get acquainted with our new system. All in all, the whole process was great.

When getting an estimate, Alpine presented a wall unit arrangement different from all other companies. Alpine's arrangement was a much better fit for the layout of the house. Clearly, they know what they are doing. Their installation team was great. The job was completed on time and on budget. The Alpine office handled all paperwork smoothly. The heat pumps are wonderful.

Alpine installed a Mitsubishi heat pump for us in one of the downstairs rooms in our house. They were very fast, clean, and professional. Communicated very well throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend!

Initial meeting and price quote with Jason was very good as he was knowledgeable, helpful and a good communicator; and good with follow up as needed. He also helped me in qualifying for a large rebate and interest free loan. Installation team was also very good and thorough, and the heat pump is working fine so far. Four stars instead of five only because it took 3 months from down payment until installation. I would definitely recommend Alpine Heat Pumps.

I've been in touch with Chelsea the most but also with Chris, Wyatt and several others along the way, they've been fantastic every step of the way and we're in a much better place with our utilities now than we were when we first started! James came out to assess our needs, and we had a proposal for mini splits and a heat pump water heater by the end of that day! James also helped with paperwork aspects, and was very prompt in answering any questions I had. The team who came out to install the mini splits were knowledgeable, efficient and courteous (I did not catch their names, as my husband was the one present during installation). Tom, who installed our heat pump hot water heater, obviously knows his stuff. He was able to navigate a tricky space situation in our basement, which was very much appreciated! Frank, the technician who came out the week after the mini split installation, was able to help me figure out how to set up our system to best suit our heating and cooling needs. We highly recommend the services of Alpine Heat Pumps!

We have had a good experience with Wyatt and Alpine Heat Pumps. They scheduled us in a timely manner and did all the paperwork for the loan and rebate applications. The communication and response time to answer any questions was excellent. Even when there was some confusion the day of the installation, Wyatt was available to speak with the subcontractors to clear up the issue and we are very happy with the result.

The entire process was smooth and professional. Our project manager did a full load calculation and walked us through the options, making sure the system fit our needs (not oversized, optimized to our use case of non-primary heating, etc.) Because the quote came in as the manufacturer was switching to a new head system, our PM stayed in touch via text to make sure we got the right setup at the guaranteed price. We were told it would take 4+ weeks to get it installed, but fate intervened and we had it within about two weeks of the quote. The installation was fantastic, low-impact (they focused on certain rooms first so we could isolate the pets), and they left the whole house clean and buttoned up. Each head was installed centered in the ways we asked for, and the line sets were run to accommodate windows we hoped to put in one day. The wiring and condensate lines were run beautifully in the basement.

The lead installer stuck around after the job was done to talk about our existing steam system, overall maintenance, and more.

Everyone from this business was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They did their job in a timely manner and took the time to explain how the systems work.

We were very pleased with both the electricians and the plumber they were all very courteous and did a great job cleaning the area after they were finished Tom the plumber stayed to show us how the Heat pump worked and walked us through all the settings. Great job well done.

Alpine Heat Pump helped us plan a workable system for our somewhat 'nonstandard' house. On installation day, a team arrived and handled the several aspects simultaneously. Power was connected the next day, and presto! We are very impressed with how it's performing. Update: Alpine Heat Pump-Support is doing most of the paperwork for the Mass Save rebate for us (very helpful), and has provided information on use and maintenance.

The guys were prompt, really professional and very friendly and helpful. They were wonderful. And we’re impressed by the way the system works. The oil furnace is dead silent, even in December! And if the air conditioning is as quiet as the heat, wow.
