Customers are fully satisfied

Scott did a major home remodel for us. Throughout the entire experience, he was communicative, checked and reviewed the work, ensured everything was to spec, and stuck to his bid. There were hiccups along the way, but he also adequately warned us that with these sort of projects, this happens since you don’t know what you’re really getting into until you start tearing down walls. We were happy with the results and would recommend Alderwood Builders for future projects.

As this was our first time working with a contractor we were nervous as to how things would go and how costs could escalate based on experiences we hear in the media and from others. In hindsight we were so happy we chose Alderwood as our contractor. There were no shortcuts taken in both quality of work or supporting us through the process. Everything was done right and with exceptional quality from the beginning. We also loved the communication throughout the project.
It was apparent early on that Scott, Alisa, John, and the rest of the team were invested in making this the best project and experience they could. All the extra work and energy you put into our project including problem-solving and finding the best solutions to some of the complexities and uniqueness of the project were on display from start to finish. Scott especially was always available to answer questions, or to allay any concerns we had.
As someone who appreciates attention to detail, Alderwood fit the bill perfectly. Jacob and the rest of the team spent time to make sure things were done right the first time, and there were no missed items, or shoddy work.
In terms of billing, I was amazed at the detailed breakdown of the estimate as well as with each bill. It was super easy to see what factored into the costs and it was easy to read. I was also very excited to see that the project came in right on cost!
Communication is definitely one of your strengths. From the regular meetings to discuss the project, to the daily texts letting us know who was coming and what the week looked like, it made it easy for us to follow the project. We also greatly appreciated the planning done to orchestrate the many different subcontractors and juggling the timeline of when they came in. There was virtually no downtime from start to finish.
In conclusion, we were so happy to have been able to work with you and would definitely seek you out for any future projects. We will also recommend you to any friends and family. Thank you!

When Scott McAuley (the owner/contractor of Alderwood Builders) arrived at our home to do the FINAL walk-through at the END of our remodeling project, he was greeted by our smiles of satisfaction. Not only was the quality of the remodel totally professional, but the experience of interacting with Scott and his crew, from the initial planning stages to the final steps, was a complete pleasure.
Throughout the process, Scott encouraged us to let him know of any questions or concerns we might have. And his responses to those were always prompt and clear. And once the work was in progress, we received daily updates from his office staff and project manager regarding what to expect on any given day.
The workmanship of Scott’s crew was also top-notch, and the value Scott placed on both communication and organization was impressive, to say the least!
If, in the future, we are looking for a contractor, there is no doubt but that Alderwood Builders will be our first choice!

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
