I’m giving a two star rating because of lack of service and basic knowledge of home repair. They have one person that’s helpful his name is Jim, otherwise no knowledge or service. The one reason I still shop there is because there the only place in town for specialty screws and hardware.

Showed they had an item I needed in stalk online, all the employees in the store kept glaring at me and gave me a very noticeable attitude as if I was an annoyance to them for coming into the store an hour before closing. One of the employees in particular kept giving me a different isle location until eventually after 3 times I asked a different employee. I was then informed with very noticeable attitude In their tone of voice that the system was incorrect thay they where completely out. I won't be shopping here again, I'd rather drive to Moses Lake home depot

Friendly staff, always willing to help find what I'm looking for if I can't find the part. Or can order it from another store and have it within a day or two for pickup.

How refreshing!!!!

My husband and I were looking for parts for a propane line to from our house to our bbq not having any real luck and a gentleman named Ray came up out of nowhere after about 5 minutes of us looking and asked if we needed help. He wasn’t only helpful but also knowledgeable! He didn’t make it seem like we were putting him out he was just happy to help! I feel like every time I’ve been into a store recently NO one wants to help and always makes me feel bad for asking for help. Ray was fantastic and helpful. We live in George but will be driving to Ephrata whenever we have ACE needs JUST because of Ray! Please give him a raise and make him stay there! We will keep going and spending money where we get such nice, quick and knowledgeable help!!

Typical Ace hardware. They have everything you could need. Prices are a little higher than the big box stores but the big box stores arent in small towns. Saves a half-hour trip out of town.

They had long shank Master locks a little expensive what do you expect in a small town but they did not have key blanks for my travel trailer or side boxes That's a minus that's why I give them four star certified

Great employees! Knowledgeable and helpful! Clean and orderly....when I want different or unusual things....I go here...different hand creams, little gadgets I didn't know I needed but they really were clever or the great Cowboy greeting cards or old ladies getting into mischief...their's a card to make you chuckle or roar with laughter when you remember your grandpa doing that too! Beautiful sparkly birthday cards that are so pretty. Good selection of nuts, bolts and screws that you always need .

I wanted to get a key made and I went to the customer service counter where keys are made. One of their employees WATCHED me pick out a key and stand at the counter after waiting for someone to help. She continued to do her stocking instead of asking if I needed help. I walked up to ask her for help after 5 minutes maybe more of waiting. When I asked for help she acted like anything in the world would be better than having to talk to me.
Imagine how THRILLED I was to have to be checked out by her, where I was treated with the same rude attitude. She didn’t say a word to me. Didn’t ask if I want a bag or my receipt or anything. Just handed me my receipt and whispered something quietly.
I understand we all have our bad days. However, learning to not let your bad day become everyone else’s is a part of customer service.

I don't recommend this Ace to anyone with breathing issues or if you have been vaccinated. They refuse to serve you. I have COPD. I'm exempt from the mask mandate anyway. I'm also vaccinated. They don't care. I will never buy anything from this place again and will recommend others to buy else where.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
