I highly recommend AFUERA OUTDOOR LIVING for any landscaping you might want to have done. George and Jamie will consult with you, and Jamie will draw up plans for your landscape design. They have four men who do all the work, and they are excellent in every aspect of the job. George and Jamie are always available, and they come frequently to check on the progress of the work, and if there are any issues to be resolved. They are in constant contact and will keep you informed about everything that is going on with the job. After the job is complete they do a super job of cleaning up. George and Jamie are a knowledgeable young couple, and I am so happy with the landscaping they did for me. It is gorgeous.

George and his team did a great job with our backyard remodel. They were very professional and they’d be there when they said they would. Now we love our outdoor space!

Afuera Outdoor Living (George and Jamie) went above and beyond and did an incredible job completely renovating our side yard. What was once sagebrush and non-usable space is now a beautiful two-tiered paver patio with a walkway up to it surrounded by fresh Austrian Pines, Magnolias, rose bushes and so much more. To finalize the project, lighting was added along the walkways, under trees, in-step and wall lighting making the space feel like something you would only see at a resort.

In a project of this scale, communication was always going to be an essential part of the project and they delivered every step of the way. It was cool being part of the process getting to make decisions customizable to me crafting my ideas with their creativity.

Our project included: Demo of existing wall, replacing wall, creating stairways, paver patio, demo of existing patio and replace with porcelain tile, lighting, planting, drip irrigation replacement and running of new drip line, heavy equipment, and a LOT of manual labor with wheelbarrows and buckets.

Not only do I recommend Afuera Outdoor Living I will be utilizing their services for years to come.

George and Jamie were awesome and communicated with us every step of the way, and everybody was so hardworking throughout the whole process. After purchasing a new build, we connected with Afuera to complete our back yard. We used Yardzen for design and Afuera is a recommended contractor and that's how we learned of them. We had received quotes from a few contractors and during those encounters. we decided that George and Jamie were a better fit for us in how we like to communicate and they had availability to get started within our preferred timeframe. After the work was completed, we were very happy with the results and very much enjoy our back yard. Enjoyed working with them throughout the process and would reach out to them again for future projects. Highly recommend their services.

We hired Loera’s Landscaping (Afuera Outdoor Living) to help us design and update our backyard. We only had a general idea of what we wanted, but after meeting with Jamie Sutton and George Loera, we were able to work together on a plan which included considerations for our walker-bound elderly parents. Jamie made the design process painless and easy. They were able to help us outline the plan, get a budget set and even helped with submitting to the HOA.

When the work started the team showed up every day, on time and worked very hard, through good weather and bad. We were kept updated every step of the way, and even when we made changes, they were more than willing to work with us to get things done in a quick and efficient manner. We expected George to cringe every time we said “Hey George, question for you…” but he responded to every question, request and idea with humor and good grace.

What started with a very small rarely used space surrounded by a mass of sagebrush turned into a showcase large yard where we love to spend time now. George made sure the slope of the looping ADA compliant paver walkway was gentle enough for our parents and still blended seamlessly into the design. Our parents are thrilled with how nice the yard is now.

We’ve worked with multiple contractors on indoor and outdoor projects across several properties in California and Nevada, and our experience with Afuera was by far the best. Jamie even brought over food enough for several meals and a nice plant to make things easier on us when Mom returned from a stay in the hospital. At the end of the job, it was hugs all around, we were that happy with the experience. We do miss giving Alaska, George and Jamie’s dog, head scratches. We unhesitatingly recommend them and give them the highest rating possible.

I used Afuera Landscape Design and Outdoor Living and highly recommend them. They are professional, trustworthy, and do an outstanding job. Nice to meet people (George and Jamie) with a great work ethic and "can do" attitude. I will definitely be using them again in future as my outdoor needs grow.

I am so happy I chose Afuera to create my backyard landscape design! I looked at other Reno landscape design companies and decided Afuera had the most modern and creative designs. They listened to my ideas closely and asked me lots of questions to get a sense of my taste. The process was fun and easy, and I ended up with a backyard I absolutely love! Their construction quality is top notch too!

These guys were great. Super responsive to questions and always called back. They were good with my dogs when they got loose. We had them lay sod, intall curbing, and replace a bad valve installation. We have them designing larger area for next year, and definitely plan to use them again.

George and Jamie did superb work for us. They consulted with us and listened carefully, produced attractive design plans for HOA approval, came with us to select plants and materials, and started the job on time. The crews were hard-working and professional, the demolition was fast, the installation proceeded quickly, and the job finished on schedule. Minor adjustments were accommodated during the work, all waste was removed, and we ended up with a terrific product. The boulders, stones, plants, and fresh cement curbs look excellent. Jamie is very creative and we were glad to let her recommend native plants and pollinators. George also returned soon afterward to fix a sprinkler line that needed attention. Costs are high these days, but they were flexible on the choice of materials and this helped. We recommend Loera's Landscape very highly.

We reached out to them through EverLights to have a quote done. George responded that night. Everyone was very professional and the work was spectacular. Our lights are beautiful and I would recommend their company to anyone. They are fantastic!

George & Jamie are the best. They said they would do their best to get us done before christmas. Well between weather and a few other setbacks we are all lite up and very happy how nice our lights look. Can't wait for our next project.

My wife and I contacted Loera's Landscaping and Design to help us Landscape our backyard of our new build. Which can be and was a very overwhelming task. From the very beginning George and Jamie were up front honest and very helpful, they both had great ideas that really helped with the design process. The team at Loera's did a great job for the installation of Everlights at our house. Our roof pitch in Tahoe is steep and somewhat challenging. The team came prepared and completed the job in a timely and safe manner. The end result is better than we imagined ( fantastic technology for lighting up the house all year round). The team were professional, turned up when they said they would and kept us informed of the project status. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Loera’s Landscape and Design did an incredible job on our backyard and dog run. We added retaining walls, pavers, DG, grass and irrigation. The owners responded quickly and gave a ton of great options and ideas. We will definitely use them in the future.

George and Jamie of Loera’s Landscape are amazing. Not only is their work fantastic it’s the follow up that makes the difference! Jamie asked how my grass was doing every two weeks and when something was wrong they did everything they could to fix it. Most places don’t do that. They changed my sprinkler heads to ensure better grass growth and consistently came back to ensure the grass was up to the highest standard. I’d recommend them for any landscaping needs! The job was completed much faster than I had anticipated! I had Everlights installed for Christmas 2019. They worked around the clock to get it done in time. They were kind, helpful and extremely hard workers. I will def use them again and recommend them to anyone!! My Everlights are awesome! I use an app to control them and get to have lights year round.
