FYI despite being name A&E Westchester Roofers apparently these guys don't actually cover parts of Westchester?? I called for roof and gutter repair services and live in Tuckahoe (Eastchester) and was told due to a change in policy they don't service this area. Professional and polite but a very confusing response considering they are located 1 town over in Yonkers.
Worst experience ever. It started so-so – very enthusiastic guy came with Presentation, you can name it "How super best we are" (presentation is a must, or they would not work with you). Estimate provided right at the end of presentation with statement that if you sign contract today, it will be $2K less (remember car dealers, yes?). We decided to try and signed. After about 3 weeks called city building department to find out when can we expect building permit, just to find out that it haven't been ever applied for! We tried to call A&E every time getting assurance that they did applied for permit, and manager would call us back in a moment – neither ever happened: nobody called back, no permit application submitted – nothing during 2 month. We sent them official letter cancelling our contract.
Don't waste your time! Looks like their 5* reviews are paid for.
I called the office needing a quick repair to our roof - a flashing problem. the tech who was assigned to our case, visited and assessed the problem (and made a quick partial fix on the spot), gave me an estimate, and scheduled his first available time to come back and fix it completely. Fast forward two days - he shows up on time - does what he said he would do - charges what he said he would charge. I'm VERY pleased with the service, work, and the integrity.
