Everything went quite smooth from quote to roofing. Great communication and patience on selection of shingles. The roofer and team was very careful while doing the job.

We ordered our roof in the fall and tried to pay for the shingles to hold the price but were assured that ther would be no increase until April. then were shocked to find out that there had been an increase of $600. for our quote. I was not impressed I asked if they were going to honour the price and the rep said they would.
while I have no issues with the workmanship. I was surprised when the only call I got was from a secretary asking for the money. No one called to ask how everything was. My only other issue was that they threw all the left over shingles and unused ones into the bin to go to the dump. As these were supposed to be recyclable I thought they should go into the scrap tire to be reused, however after we dug out as much as we could then took them to the city they refused to take them to recycle and said we wer to throw them in the garbage and we were lucky she wasn't going to charge us for it.
So much for recycling and reusing.

The process of getting a quote from Chris was easy, fast and very well priced. Signed my contract, product was delivered next day. Left for the long weekend, came home to a new roof. Didn't even know they had come no mess anywhere. Extremely pleased with the results. Thanks to all I dealt with.

I have to say i’m very happy I chose to go with Advanced Roofing Systems. I’ve seen more than 5 roofing companies in my cul de sac. Call me biased but I believe mine was completed the best and most professional.

The set up, workmanship, clean as you go (within reason, it is a construction site for one or two days) that the Foreman maintained was excellent, no neighbor complained, it was a fun experience.

Original post: The work was subcontracted out to Sargeant's Roofing and it was completed quickly in one day but there was trim missing in several places so the plywood was exposed. I had to call Gil at Advanced Roofing a couple times to get Sargeant's back to the house to fix the trim. However, Sargeant's didn't bring enough trim so they took the trim from one part which was hard to see from the ground and then left that part uncovered. I called Gil to complain but he never returned my call. The experience was severely disappointing.

Advanced roofing does their best to help you find a resolution to your roofing issues, even when it is not their product causing the issue.
Their site guys are super friendly and very open about everything they are doing and why.
They take pride in their company name and being a top roofing company.
They have trusting recommendations they can offer for roof related items, such as sun tunnels, as well.
They don’t avoid contact ever.

Requested an online quote on June 18th. Heard nothing from the company so I called back on June 20th. The receptionist said that she would have a manager call me back today. I still haven’t heard back from the company (July 06). Poor customer service. I finally received a call back today from Gill. He was extremely helpful and informative and took the time to explain his thoughts on my issue. He explained that I have a unique roof and what to look for (have a small leak in the garage). This happened when we had all of the rain and wind. He said it could have been just the way the wind was blowing the rain. Because of the call back I have updated the rating. If I do need a new roof in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to call Advanced Roofing now that I have spoken with someone.

Advance did a really great job on our roof. We are 100% satisfied with the work they did. We had a number of quotes from other reputable companies as well before deciding on Advance and the choice we made was well worth it.

I tried to remove the one star because I don't even want to give one star.
Waited all day yesterday for a repair on my leaking roof, I even called to check and make sure we were still getting a repair man coming, and was told they were coming,no one came, no one called!! What a shoddy way to run a business!!! Now it is New Years Eve and my repair will have to wait until the 3rd of January.

We used this company to replace our garage roof shingles. They were easy to work with, explained the process, supplies and work involved so it was easy to understand. Price quote was great and lower than other companies that we received quotes from. Their turn around time from quote to completion was fast and the work itself was done quickly and they cleaned up great after. 10/10 would recommend.

Had the company come and remove snow from our roof during the winter. The snow was dumped onto our neighbors yard ( both sides with some damage to their trees and property ). The window wells were filled with the removed snow and not cleared as we were told they would be. And a heating coil on our roof was pulled from its location. We were offered a discount for the problems but declined only requesting the coil to be put back in place and no one showed up after our request. Now we are having to hire someone to check our coil. Just ended up being more costly since we had to fix issues that was damaged, when we were just trying to prevent problems.

From Chris in Sales, Johnathan and his fantastic install crew, down to the gentleman that picked up the garbage bin, I have had nothing but a great experience. Will highly recommend to anyone looking to repair or replace roofing. Very professional and tidy. Roof looks amazing.

The work they did for us was very good. Our roofs required extensive work, including replacing a few attic beams and a lot of plywood for the roof sheathing. Their shingling was well done as was the replacement or installation of attic vents. They also greatly increased the outside eaves ventilation into our attic in all our buildings.

I had called many roofing companies, however Advanced Roofing Systems was the only roofing company that took the time to listen to the issue we had, suggest a solution and schedule a technician to come out. came highly recommended. Communication around estimate was excellent, including some specific concerns (what could/should be done, how much etc.). Then major miscommunication regarding start time/practice. Seems estimator had under-estimated an issue that needed resolution (access). Was resolved but lost half-day's work (and cost extra). Then error made in laying ice-shield. I saw it because it was supposed to be 'extra' to normal and therefore I looked. It was an 'error'; when I called in about it, manager came out to check immediately and instructed a correction for the next day. Crew made sure I saw the correction. Because of initial delay, job was finished in my absence. When I returned, I found everything in excellent clean-up condition. Company also very accommodating to payment adjustments (my absence, e-transfer limitations on my account). In a nutshell: problems were essentially about (poor) communications; actual work was excellent; problems were resolved quickly.

Contacted this company to check if my roof was damaged from the recent windstorm. Lucky for me I hadn’t lost any shingles. Andy just noticed that I have a few minor things that needed to be done. He did the repairs and The service was prompt . I received the pictures and now I’m at ease

The roof looks great, which is ultimately what matter. The guys were good and kept the ate clean, I just wished they would have worked longer days instead of half days . Gill was great at explaining things, and the price seemed fair/ good.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Advanced Roofing Systems LTD. In our area the homeowners are mandated to use cedar shake shingles, so we hired Advance to install our new roof. Gil Olson was who sold us and arranged everything from start to finish, he was extremely efficient. Now is where the great service comes in! Many years after we had the roof installed (I think 10-12) our family room right in front of the fireplace was wet when it rained. I finally called Advance and Gil answered the phone. I explained our problem and shortly there after someone came and inspected the roof. We were told that it was most probably the caulking around the flashing and it was repaired and shouldn’t give us any more issues! I would highly recommend this company for your roofing needs. The technician who installed our roof was named John, he was a larger man and manoeuvred around 20’ above the ground on the roof with the greatest of ease…. He was clean, knowledgeable, very fast and worked alone! You felt comfortable because he new what he was doing… a joy to watch. We thank you all at Advance from the Bridges family.

Update. I have a couple of leaks. Gil has been helpful and a crew will be out shortly.

Let's start with the good and work our way down...
Kelvin's team did a great job. They were respectful, did good work, and when I pointed out a minor deficiency, they fixed it with no questions asked. Kelvin gets 5 stars.
It took some time to get started for sure. Chris was quick to respond and get the job moving. Shortly after I contacted them and requested work to start, shingles were on my driveway within a day or 2, as expected. A couple days later, a crew showed up, then promptly left with no explanation. I had to call the office to get any form of information. Gil explained everything, which I was pleased with, but the shingles sat on my driveway a week until I received threats from my neighbours who were going to complain to by law... Overall, poor communication. I didn't ask for miracles, but just to know what was going on and when I could expect something. Once the job was underway, it was relatively smooth sailing. But now the job is completed (about 2 weeks now) and I still have garbage and equipment littering my yard (pics attached). I have shingles in my gutters, nails and garbage strewn all over my yard and neighbour's yards from a windstorm, and my neighbour even stepped on a nail while mowing his lawn and his foot got all infected. Gil told me they'd be at my place on Friday June 18 to finish their cleanup, but another no-show. I think I got all the nails, but I'd imagine they'd like to get their equipment back? I have no use for it...
In the end, my roof was re-shingled, it looks good, but it wasn't what i had expected. Maybe it was just a one-off, as these guys have pretty good reviews, but we're less than impressed.

The roofing crew were very dedicated to the job. They worked long hours and they worked a very steady pace. The roof was finished in record time. They did an awesome job.

After the squall on Jan 20, 2021, I spoke to Gil, and we agreed on a price to replace some shingles that were blown away in the storm. His guys came out the next day and fixed it. This spring, I noticed a strip missing in another location and contacted Gil. As soon as the weather permitted, the necessary repairs were made at no additional cost. Thank you, Gil and company.

Chris was prompt and provided me with a breakdown of quotes along with product information and always followed up with me. He truly made the process easy for me to choose the right company and I have to say, I certainly did.
I also have to say I am very impressed with the Crew Lead - John and his team. A group of hardworking individuals that showed up early and worked non stop throughout the day. What really took me back was on Day 2 of the installation, it started to rain late afternoon. The crew packed up and left by 5:00 pm. But I couldn't believe it when the skies cleared after about an hour or so and the sun shone again; John and another member of his crew came back and worked until it started getting dark. This is dedication and speaks volumes to commitment. My Euro Shield roof looks AMAZING and I personally feel without a doubt, I have the best looking roof in my crescent. Thank you Advanced Roofing!

The installation staff and site manager were great. I was completely satisfied. They cleaned up after the job. Very friendly staff. They did a great job installing my shingles. Their prices were reasonable. I would recommend them to a friend.

Recently I used the Advanced Roofing Systems Ltd for my house cedar reroofing. They provided a timely quotation. On my request, manager Mr. Gil Olson came to my house and explained to me each item of the quote and how they will be performing the work. Gil provided me the timeline for the job. I found him very courteous and professional. As I signed the contract, they started the work on time. Their roofing crew was led by Jonathon, who was great. We did not face any issues in regards to carrying out our normal daily activities while they worked. Every day after work they removed all the debris around and kept everything very organized and tidy. After the reroofing, Gil inspected the work to make sure everything was done according to industry standard. I am very happy with Advanced Roofing System work, and I give them five stars for their work.

Advanced Roofing Systems is a very professional organization. The process is, at least in paper, very hassle-free. They'll come to the property (the owner does not need to be there) and create a customized estimate. A contract is agreed upon and signed. They work with several crews, and a crew is assigned to the property from beginning to end, including any warranty issues.

The crew shows up at the precise agreed upon date. The crew completed my roof in 2 days (including the garage) and I did not have to be there. My roof looks great.

I did experience an issue in that the crew that came was not well versed on how to re-flash a chimney (or at least this was the impression I had). Even though we included a clause in my contract that the chimney was to be re-flashed, the foreman talked me into not doing it. in the first rain after re-roofing, it leaked like crazy inside my house. As far as I know, it was not leaking before the house was re-roofed. The crew came back two times, but was not able to fix the issue. After every rain, it leaked again. I suspect the original flashing was damaged because the crew lifted it a good 4 inches off the deck during the roofing process, then nailed it back down. I ended up having to hire a different company to fix my chimney (recommended, but not endorsed, by Advanced Roofing). This experience caused a lot of grief.

Chris has followed up and ensured that if this hasn't been resolved, to let him know once the thunderstorm season is back, and Advanced Roofing will ensure it is resolved.

Overall, the company is very professional and their quote was affordable. But I would want to ensure any work around a chimney (if you live in an older home that has one) is properly done.

I got a quote from Chris. He visited the property and had a quote sent back very quickly. I had a garage roof done and needed a small bit of trim fixed up as well. Advanced Roofing was very professional and the job was completed in good time and the price was very competative. I have referred them to my brother for his shingles on his 2 story as well.
I would use Advanced Roofing Systems Ltd. in the future.

First off...we have no ties whatsoever personal or professional with Advanced Roofing. We picked out about 5 or 6 companies from the BBB for estimates. Rod showed up early for the estimate. An estimator who was a former roofer. LOVE IT! A floor man promoted. A guy who knows from the ground up. Fantastic Estimate...Even more Fantastic the job they did. No minimum code here. Very professional, they kept us in the loop, informed us of ALL options. Very friendly and VERY professional. Heads above. Job done well, clean up was great. My wife and I are VERY happy.
