After some informative discussions, Brad determined that his stove would not fit into my fireplace, and advised against his own self interest to not buy his stove because he didn't want to rip me off by selling me something that doesn't work.

Advanced Chimney consultants were great. Thought I had birds in the chimney flue of a vented gas fireplace. Brad came out for inspection. He climbed up on the roof, came down with pictures and explained what he found. Luckily just birds playing noisily on the flue so no need for any service. Peace of mind for sure! A few weeks ago, I had a company called Elite Certified Contractors install a new roof and skylights on my home. They did a terrific job and a very reasonable price, in fact, the best I had found, with impressive people at every step.

However, I’d been told that I also needed some fairly extensive chimney work, which was pretty easy to confirm, even just visually. However, ECC does not do chimney work.

I began checking into a few places online. During my search, Tim from ECC sent a recommendation to try Advanced Chimney Consultant. I continued looking, adding ACC to my list. Because of my experience with Tim, I expected that he wouldn’t likely risk the rep he had earned with me by recommending a second-rate outfit.

He clearly didn’t. I’ll give the same kudos to this company. Best on every level, from the office phone work (Peggy), to the people who come assess, and then those that do the work, it was all first-class. Quality work, all done with a smile, cleanly and efficiently. And once again, if not necessarily the lowest price, I would say certainly the lowest of those I deemed capable, and likely to do all that was needed. (I wish I'd taken "before" pictures)

We called Brad to help us figure out why our fireplace wasn’t venting properly. Not only was he able to diagnose the issue in seconds (old piping from a wood stove!), he climbed up on the roof immediately and had the issue fixed in no time. The pricing was incredibly competitive and reasonable (truly a steal), and as first-time homeowners it’s great to know that there’s someone so knowledgeable about chimneys and fireplaces in our area. We will definitely be keeping Advanced Chimney on speed dial and can’t wait to use our new and improved fireplace.

We had a lot of spalling bricks on our chimney and it was blocked off inside. We reached out to Brad and his team to see if they could get everything fixed and working again. They gave us a great price and did an amazing job with the repair. We now have a beautiful new chimney and wood stove in place as a secondary heat source for the house! I’d recommend them to anyone considering chimney or fireplace work!

Background: We previously called A DIFFERENT company to address smoke coming into our house and we were shocked with the $22K price tag to fix it and to remove our "bad" wood-burning stove. We looked at reviews online and saw the same exact song and dance from this company ... "former firefighter ... need a man lift to access ... won't clean a bad chimney." It was also very unprofessional to see this company debate with those who left reviews after the same experience I had.

We wanted a second opinion so we called Advanced Chimney Consultants. Lo and behold, the wood stove works perfectly. The issues found were real, but the last company way over exaggerated and over priced the solution. Advanced Chimney Consultants did an exceptional job at literally 1/10 the price. Highly recommend this company.

They installed a wood burning insert for me, and they were fast, and professional, and did a great job. I would definitely use them again!

These folks are real pros. Brad is very knowledgeable, and the crew he dispatched to install a fresh air vent in the back of my masonry fireplace were like surgeons. When they left after a messy, hard job you didn't even know they had been there. Great local company, and Peggy was and is fantastic!

Follow up to above review. Had trouble with chimney downdraft that caused smoke to enter house. Brad and his colleague figured out in ten minutes that chimney cap screen was clogged with creosote. New cap did the trick and we have had a fire in the fireplace all weekend without an issue!

In addition to efficient, friendly, reasonably-priced service, Brad successfully troubleshooted our woodstove insert which we've never been able to use til this year due to another company installing it incorrectly. We were ready to get rid of it until Brad solved the problem quickly and now we can heat our whole house with it.

My family is so grateful for Brad fitting us in so close to the winter season coming soon when it came to installing our first ever woodstove. I called Advanced Chimney and they were able to schedule me relatively quickly. The pricing was not transparent and they were going to charge me per flue (I have a woodburning side and boiler side in the same chimney structure) on the day of. Due to weather, they were only able to inspect the woodburning flue chimney and, when I talked with them, they said they were going to be able to fit me into their schedule to come back and inspect the boiler flue chimney.

I called a few days later to touch base and they had forgotten about me completely and I was unable to get a follow up inspection. Fortunately I was able to call in another chimney inspection/repair company.

This other company responded promptly, despite their busy schedule, and their inspection was much more thorough, and their pricing was transparent. I was charged by this other company for per the chimney structure, which included the boiler and woodburning flues, which is half of what Advanced was going to charge. I was able to see what actually needed to happen during the inspection and what repairs were needed.

In regards to Advanced, I'm unsure why I was not told about the extent of the issues during the inspection. I would not recommend them on the basis the team they sent out did not do a thorough inspection, overlooked clear issues that the other company picked up, their pricing is not transparent, and I was going to be overcharged.

Brad was extremely professional. He was responsive and timely and did the job perfectly. My dryer vent needed a lot of attention and after he left it looked almost new. My clothes thank him. It now takes half the time to dry. Hire Brad! He is amazing! His prices are the best. You can’t go wrong with any of his services! I truly appreciated his expertise.

The company was excellent in service! They resolved an issue with two deteriorating chimney chases. They cleaned the work area as if there was no debris. They provided before and after pictures assuring the quality of their done. I would highly recommend them for any chimney work including tuck pointing.

We have used Brad before for cleaning our fireplace and chimney. He was excellent and very knowledgeable. We liked him so much we used him to install our wood burning stove. He answered a ton of our questions before we even purchased a stove and was very helpful! Our fireplace has a weird arch to it and he was able to trim down and "custom" fit the surround so we didn't have to spend extra on an even more expensive custom surround and it looks amazing! They did an excellent job and I will always recommend them for anyone's fireplace or chimney needs!

I've used a lot a chimney cleaners. You gotta watch out for the them because they're not always honest.
