This is the second time we have hired Rafael. He did a great job replacing our baseboards. He is always on time and kept our house clean throughout the project. I am impressed by his attention to detail and couldn't be more pleased with his work.

Everything was smooth from the consultation and installation. The price was reasonable, all the work was done properly, and there was excellent clean-up. This is a good company to work with.

Absolutely wonderful experience working with Rafael. We had some old LP siding on our chimneys that was finally starting to fail and Rafael and team did an amazing job replacing the siding and trim to match. He and his team did the job on time and the price was very reasonable. There was a slight miscommunication on the initial job (which happens!) and Rafael went out of his way to make it right. I would work with Active Siding again for any work that I need done.

Several months ago I noticed an exterior issue with my house where a trim board along with several 2x6's and the plywood was completely rotten and damaged from carpenter ants. While the damage seemed relatively isolated and minor I wasn't sure of the extent of it underneath the cement board siding and feared the worst. This was going to require pulling siding and at least one window in the area, and to me seemed like I might as well replace the 25 year old windows and make sure the siding was built correctly while taking care of the repair. Unfortunately with window companies I tried to deal with seemed uninterested in the project and wanted way too much money.

After a few go arounds I contacted Active Siding and Roofing and Raphael was able to come look at my house quite quickly. He came up with a plan and offered a very fair price relative to what other companies wanted to charge. I mentioned that I wanted to replace the windows and he suggested that I just order them myself at wholesale price and have him install. Worked out great as I hauled the windows home and have a quality install much less expensive than other window companies.

Raphael and his coworker did a really nice job on the window install, framing repair and siding replacement. They left that section of the exterior better than it was build when new, and hauled all the debris away leaving no traces of them being there.

We had our four-story home on San Juan Island re-sided by Alpine. The crew was excellent, and the project went beautifully. In particular Rafael was outstanding. He worked long hours at a constant fast pace and his work was amazing. He was very willing to fix the few minor changes we requested. And after a full day he cleaned the site meticulously. Rafael is a very superior worker. We are very pleased with the Alpine siding on our home.

We just had a couple of broken sidings, Raphael was easy to work with, came on short notice and did a clean job. Would call him again for any siding issues.

We hired Rafael to fix our siding and replace the chimney cap. He completed the project on time, paid meticulous attention to details and thoroughly cleaned up the work site each day. Reasonable price and excellent craftsmanship. We are extremely pleased with his work.

We worked with Rafael at Active Siding and Roofing for repair and replacement of the cedar siding on the south-facing side of our home. He and his team also re-waterproofed and flashed our sliding glass door and deck and did some repairs for us on our shed.

I’ve had Rafael work on several projects for me and he always delivers a professional build. From a technical rainscreen siding detail to interior finish work including drywall work, I’m consistently impressed by his ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality in higher end work. As a general contractor, I have used MR Construction on many projects. They have completed multi family commercial, new construction and residential for me. I have used them in occupied re-cladding work as well as roofing. They are safety trained, they work cleanly, I never have to ask for a better job cleaning their work area. L&I compliance is never a worry with MR I can’t think of a time that I have had to ask anyone on the crew to please use eye pro or the get in a fall arrest harness. I would rate them 10 out of 10 compared to most of my choices in a siding and roofing sub contractors I can call. They are always my first Choice.

Rafael and his team were subcontracted to reside and replace insulation on our home in the fall of 2022. The home looks great and their attention to detail was solid on the work. Rafael stayed late in the evenings to make sure finish work was completed to our satisfaction. I would absolutely consider hiring them directly for construction projects on our home in the future.

This subcontractor did an outstanding job. Essentially - my cedar shake was quite literally rotting & falling off the side of the 2nd story of my house; on both the East & West walls. I opted for the Hardie Shake shingle for many reasons - primarily due to the harsh weather conditions here in the Pacific NW.
This team (Rafael, & Frederico) & a few others, once they got the materials delivered, were able to knock this semi difficult job out fairly quickly. They were respectful, nice, cleaned up their portion of the work once the job was completed. And the owner (Rafael), told me to always call them if I run into any future issues.

I would definitely recommend them, and, if I have any future projects won't hesitate to give them a call.
