Jon came out to assess my basement and saw my apprehension. He was very kind and patient with me. (My first basement issue in home ownership) Matthew was extremely helpful in the demo work and very knowledgeable! All of the workers were very polite. Another contractor for a different job at my house had to come into the basement and saw the job Accurate had done, and said they had done nice work. He pointed out to me the extra care they had done that some other places don’t do.

Jon from Accurate Basement was very honest and great to work with. He came out and looked at our issues and suggested a sump pump and drain tiles be installed. The crew that did the install were very hard workers and did a great job. We had Jon on speed dial and he was always available to answer any questions. Brian from Accurate Basements did an exceptional job evaluating my basement. I’m writing this because we ultimately didn’t need to hire them for the initial problem I called them for. Brian assured me the walls and current drain tiles were sound and the issue I was having stemmed from a support issue and needed to be evaluated by a structural engineer: not something they do. Brian gave me a recommendation for one, so if and when I need to replace the support beams Accurate will be my first call. They did a thorough job when they weren’t getting paid, and Brian gave me solid advise on how to proceed when he didn’t have to. They earned a future customer.

Jon showed up, did a quick walk-around, and zeroed in on the real issue—something two other companies totally missed. The kicker? It wasn’t even a service Accurate Basement Repair sells. Instead of pitching me an expensive fix, Jon walked me through what was happening and laid out a few suggestions to handle it. That level of straight talk and experience was of immense value to me and my family.

Paul came out to quote my basement. Polite, nice guy, seemed very knowledgeable. I told him that I was getting a few different companies in to take a look at my basement moisture issue and quote out what they thought was needed.

The Accurate quote from Paul came in competitive but I didn't love that they were adamant about busting out my basement glass block windows to get supplies in/out when I have a large bilco door in my basement leading outside. Said they could use the bilco if I insisted, but since they were installing drainage in front of the doorway, he couldn't guarantee the concrete wouldn't get messed up by the workers... Seemed weird when every other company brought up no concerns about using the door. Even with this oddity, I was still considering Accuate to do the work over some other cheaper quotes because Paul was all about the "quality" being the best around...

Spoiler Alert: I picked a different company; also local, nice, reasonably priced. That’s when Paul got weird. First, he called me to tell me I made a huge mistake, trash talked all other companies that they all do poor work, and ended with “I won’t contact you again.”

Then he texted me a few hours later — long-ass message repeating the same tantrum in writing. Again ending with “I won’t contact you again.” Then came the email a few days later accusing me of sharing his quote with all the other companies in town like I was running some underground sump pump black market. Funny, but weird theory and also completely untrue. I never talked about any other company or quote I received to anyone, except for with Paul since he was so concerned with everybody else. Sounded like he was desperate for a sale or the company was desperate for business.

Then he accused me of blocking his phone number, probably because I didn't reply. I didn’t, but I probably should have at this point. Paul, if you're reading this, yes I even received the "." message you sent to test if your message went through. Finished his email implying I'm a bad person and, wait for it..."I won't be contacting you again." LOL

All of this might I add, was after I already told him I signed a contract and paid a deposit for a different company to do my repairs.

So if you want a basement waterproofing quote wrapped in oddities and conspiracy theories, give Paul a call. Otherwise, avoid this mess and go with literally anyone else.

I contacted Accurate Basement Repair with concerns about some water seepage in a cold storage room attached to my basement. Paul Vaccaro was the representative assigned to provide an estimate. He reviewed my request and realized that I didn't need services provided by Accurate. He called me up and throroughly explained an alternative course of action and how to go about it. He saved us both time in solving my problem.

We were extremely impressed with the timeliness and expertise that this company could provide! We needed the drain tile replaced on a home we were interested in buying. They got the work done on a tight timeline and it has been functioning great. Kyle even came back a year later to check out the space when we wanted to finish it off to check that everything was looking good. He was straight with us and provided sound advice as if it were his own home. There is no one else we would go to for basement questions or repairs! They seriously are the best!

We bought our house in October of 2023 under the terms of the sellers replacing the drain tile system. A week after moving in, Accurate came to start the work. Everything seemed good until the end when I noticed they significantly damaged the cedar siding on my house above the window well they used to pump in concrete. Then I noticed the drain tile liner in the concrete the entire perimeter of my basement. Extremely uneven, bowing out in places, over lapping & rounded corners as well. It is atrocious. I called & complained & they said I have the option to finish my basement but I CANNOT do anything to fix the liner or it will void the warranty. I don’t want a finished basement! I offered to pay them to fix it & they never responded back. Because we bought the home & the sellers paid for the repairs, Accurate really didn’t seem to want to talk with us as we weren’t technically the customers. After numerous phone calls & complaints they sent a guy to fix the siding but he did a shit job & told me I’m responsible for painting it & that they do “heavy duty work & damages come with the job.” They know how to do drain tile systems well but their customer service is absolute garbage. Expect damage to your home if you hire them.

As it turned out, we needed to replace the entire interior drain tile on this property as well as brace approximately 85% of the basement walls. I was most impressed with The way accurate handled the project, including allowing me the opportunity to see it in progress. The property involved was on the north west side of Milwaukee and was a 1950s vintage ranch home. Once again, thank you to the entire accurate team.

Kyle stopped out to look at some water seepage in my basement. He was very honest and told me that all of my issues could most likely be resolved with some landscaping, a new gutter and some concrete work around my foundation and driveway, but that there was nothing catastrophic occurring. The leading competition had stopped the week before and spent five minutes looking at my issue before telling me it all of my (already replaced) drain tiles needed replacing, which would involve major work to my finished basement, and would cost $33,000 but WAIT we can offer a discount if you sign right now. I was really scared that I had a major issue on my hands. Kyle told me its very rare that updated drain tiles need to be replaced again, if I wanted to run a drain tile test he could, but most likely the drain tiles were fine. I was so grateful for his honesty - he could have easily told me I needed some sort of less expensive repair and I probably would have seriously considered it in light of the competition's quote. I would highly recommend Accurate Basement if you are looking for an honest and straightforward answer to whatever you have going on in your basement. Although I don't have business with them, I feel confident that they offer quality work and take pride in what they do.

I recently had a great experience with Accurate Basement Repair. Kyle came out to check a couple small cracks in my basement walls. Not only was the foundation inspection thorough (thank god there are n issues), he also took me around the outside of my property and gave me suggestions regarding grating and downspout replacement. Kyle indicated that making these upgrades could prevent the possibility of potential basement-related problems down the line. I do not recommend Accurate Basement Repair and would avoid working with them if you can.

They installed a sump pump/drain tile and put up some support beams. Here are some of the issues we had with our experience:

- A beam was put in front of one of our basement windows when it could’ve been spaced differently and put next to the window. Another beam was welded to stick out and go around duct work which could’ve been moved. I wish they had told us they were going to do it this way or discussed options with us so that we could have figured out a different solution. It will be much harder for us to refinish our basement nicely around those two beams.

- They had to take out the bottom three steps to install the drain tile. When they came to rebuild those steps, the bottom piece wasn’t reattached and the treads were not secured properly causing them to drop down about an inch when you walk on them. It took over a month of reaching out to them about this issue before they came back to take a look. They ended up putting in a couple shims that fell out shortly after they left, and didn’t actually fix the issue so the stairs are still unstable as you can see in the picture. After reaching out to them again several times without a response on this issue, and after 5 months of living with the stairs this way, we were finally told they will not be coming back to fix it and we will have to do it ourselves (we were planning to already at this point because we don’t trust them to do it right). We have to walk down these stairs regularly to do laundry, and my wife has to carry our baby and/or toddler with her, so it is even more unacceptable for it to be left as such a hazard.

- When coming to rebuild the steps, they had to reschedule, told us the new time morning of, then threatened to a $150 repeat trip charge when he was waiting 20 minutes because they didn’t notify my wife he was here, which they said they would. She let him in right away once they notified her he was there.

- The dryer was hooked back up to the wrong vent pipe and fell off the same day he put it up, which we just fixed ourselves

- Unprofessional behavior including excessive swearing while working (in front of us and in ear shot of our 2 year old)

- Miscommunication on the company’s part about various things that the crew seemed frustrated about

- A lot of sloppy work, moving things around and not putting them back, and messes left behind for us to clean up

Accurate Basement Repair recently finished up a basement project in our home. Brian Leffler was great to work with. He was knowledgeable about our situation and available to help provide clarification and answer questions. The crew doing the work was incredibly efficient and, given the extent of work, left it as clean as possible. Paul went step by step with me on what I could do to help prevent water from coming into my basement. I waited three months to write this review to see if his assessment was helpful. My boyfriend and I just bought a house and Paul from Accurate Basement Repair came by as we had a few things we wanted looked at. Paul was extremely knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly. He answered all of our questions and gave suggestions for maintenance. He told us we have nothing to worry about right now, but if we ever do, we will definitely be calling them!

After realizing that our sump pump had not been plugged into the outlet for I don't know how long, we got water in the basement as a result.
During my clean up session in the basement I saw multiple cracks in the walls of our basement that I had not noticed before. I did an extensive Google search for foundation experts in our area and decided to call Accurate.

UPDATE:
In March 2025, for our own peace of mind, my husband and I decided to have basement work done (wall bracing, new sump pump and new laundry tub) so we contracted with Accurate. Once again we had a great experience with Accurate. Some of the workers arrived ahead of the scheduled time and the rest were right on time. Jimmy, the crew leader, was very professional as he listened to our concerns and answered all of our questions. Nothing was damaged during their transport of the equipment needed for the job and they did an excellent job of cleaning up the area when they were done working. I was very impressed! I was equally pleased with the two plumbers who came out to replace the sump pump and laundry tub. Both were very professional and answered all of my questions; and I had many. To top it all off, the city inspector came to inspect their work and he even praised Accurate's work by saying "Accurate always does a good job."
We are very satisfied with this company and highly recommend them!!!
