EDIT: The company responded below and decided to threaten me. Their claim that they did work to resolve what was done to remove our pet from the floor is completely false. Again, I would not advise working with this company.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do NOT work with Absolute Bath/Absolute Construction. The management team has significant issues with communication and follow through, leading to the worst remodel experience we have ever experienced. The following were just a few of the issues we ran into during the process:

- Manager performed a walk-through with us the day before demo started and was given door codes and locations of electricity and gas shut offs. NONE of this information was given to demo team, resulting in several angry calls from the demo team to us while we were at work and could not help.
- Team could not care less about our home. Left the front door wide open all day long (even though we have pets and advised them not to do this). The floors in our home were not protected at all and this resulted in mud, salt, snow, and other debris tracked through the entire house.
- Team left guest toilet (the only usable one in the house during the project) in filth. I promise, you don't want to know.
- They left open holes in our floor and DID NOT COVER THEM when they left. This resulted in our pet getting into the floor and then the Absolute Team TILED OVER HIM. He spent two full days in the floor before we had to call another contractor to get him out. Absolute still purports they had no fault in this.
- Design elements that were promised (hooks in door, grout color, floor tiling) were blatantly ignored and the Absolute Team just did whatever they felt worked. Materials were cheap.

This isn't even all of the issues. Overall, this team just does not care about their work. The only thing they want to go above and beyond for is to avoid any sort of responsibility. DO NOT USE THEM.

Scheduling and quality issues are plenty with Absolute Construction. I’m surprised Home Depot still associates themselves with Absolute.

Original anticipated completion date was 08/18/2024; final inspection occurred on 12/17/2024, nearly 4 months late. There were days gaps, sometimes up to a week, where no work was being done. Workers and inspectors sometimes showed up on the wrong day, didn’t show at all, or rescheduled morning-of. Project Manager, Howie, was at times unresponsive.

Quality issues such as missing paint, off centered light fixtures, unpatched holes, unsanded drywall mud were never addressed. Responses regarding issues were either “I’ll make a call” with no follow up, or complete silence. Eventually after getting Home Depot involved, Absolute said they would look at these items. As of a few weeks later (now five months past the anticipated completion date), some grout issues were fixed but nothing else.

Do not trust them to know what they are doing, make sure everything you need is in the contract, no matter how small.
Even if when reviewing the contract and you tell sales about the missing issue and sales tells you it won't be an issue, if it's not in the contract they won't do it.
The installers (at least tile) will not mention what should be a glaring issue. (That you already mentioned numerous times)
But at least when you find out the original issue you had was basically never solved, someone nice will call and apologize and tell you the work wasn't in the contract....
Never using them or home depo again.

The worst construction project in my house. Paid in full but the job is installment. They don't coordinate with the work plan. Too expensive for a tiny bathroom. Made damaged to the other bathroom during dismantling the old features but never repaired. Some materials purchased not included in the installation but paid. The worst seller with promises

Not bad until you run into an issue with one of the installs then it's a black hole of nothingness. No one calls back, text messages are not returned for days and then you are told they "forgot to hit send". It's been over a month since my shower door was installed wrong 5/16th off and very visible with an untrained eye. I was told someone came to the house on the 26th, then I was told my walls are uneven - text after text with an excuse after excuse. When home depot escalated the issue to "john" he never returned my call just like Howie and his fantom text messages. Honestly, I wish I could have my old bathroom back. I would never recommend absolute to any one looking for repair/remodeling services.

Update: absolute response to this review took 11 months. Do you really think they'd help resolve my issue 11 months later . Thank you for proving how awful of a company you truly are... I truly hope Home Depot starts to reconsider using you under their umbrella since you are destroying their brand.

The guys who installed the cabinets were great, it's the management I'm having problems with. They call to see how the installation went but you tell them you have a concern, you explain the concern and they tell you they will have the site manager come by. Well that's been over a week, you call to find out what the problem is,, but you don't even receive a curiosity call explaining what the hold up is. Is this how they handle all their customers, just hurry up and wait and they hope you get mad enough and say "the hell with it" and get someone else to help.

As you can see by the "SO CALLED" response from management the don't give a "rats azz" either if you are satisfied or not as long as they get their money their happy. I WILL NEVER EVER USE ABSOLUTE AGAIN. What a sorry company

Go with somebody else that will get the work done right the first time. Didn’t expect this service and quality from a Home Depot authorized provider. Contract signed for a bathroom remodel 2/3/2024 with “approximate finish date” of 5/13/2024. Ended up not finishing until 7/2/2024. They had to do the work TWICE because of errors of their own doing. For example, very poor paint job (bubbling paint, entire areas not painted), drop ceiling wasn’t level, tiles left dirty, toilet installed improperly (you would wiggle it just sitting on it), sink plumbing installed improperly causing it to leak which resulted in the vanity having to be replaced, floor installed with gaps/cracks near the shower and not being flush at the junctions.

Pressured to sign off on the work before being in fact completed to general workmanship standards. Poor scheduling and communication. The workers would leave trash outside despite saying it would be picked up on particular days. Workers would just not show up on days that they had been scheduled – and no follow up communication.

Eventually, they did things right, but you need to really inspect everything and have them fix things that should have just been done right the first time. Howie, one of the employees, at one point told me that they were bending over backwards for me – despite all my requests being reasonable for the amount of money being spent on labor for this remodel.

The second set of workers that did the job the second time did a much better job – I am not sure why they didn’t use them instead of the first set who appeared to be trying to cut corners the whole time.

Absolute construction was handled by Home Depot for this project since October, and here we are in March and it still hasn't been completed. Let’s go back to October. Our cabinets were delivered, and for over three weeks, no one came to check on the product until we called. Then, when we called, someone came to open the boxes, but still, nothing was done.

After a few more weeks of waiting, they finally started demolishing and had their company electrician come out to rewire the kitchen. That took months. Then everything came to a standstill. I had to call on behalf of my mother and spoke to their admin, Ellen, who informed me that on October 18th, they contacted the Massachusetts inspector, but hadn't heard back.

They love to show up at my house without any calls. When I spoke with the Project Manager, Eric, and asked him to confirm who he spoke with after discussing the matter, he would reply, “with the phone number on file.” I told him to call me instead of my mother moving forward, but he ignored the request.

So, I took the initiative to call the inspector and was told that they NEVER contacted him. That was just another fiasco. The first time the inspector came out, they hadn't scheduled the electrician to come to our house. Then, the second time, the inspector never showed up. Finally, by the third inspection, they failed because they hadn’t labeled the panel. We finally passed on the fourth visit.

Now, we got our cabinets installed and were told that we need additional pieces. The pieces have been delivered for almost three weeks. I reached out on Monday, 2/5, and spoke to a young woman who took my info down. I was told that they would reach out to me. I called again on 2/7, spoke with Ellen, and asked for a follow-up. She said they reached out to the installer and are waiting to hear back. I asked how long that normally takes, and she replied, “one day.” I said, “Okay, well if I don’t hear back from you tomorrow, I’ll be giving you a call on Friday.” She said, “Oh, don’t worry, you are at the top of my list.” LIES. I called them again today, 2/9, and spoke with Dominic. I told him the same thing. Also, the inspector threatened this company to go to 1010 Mass Ave for their license. It got that bad.

He left me on hold, presumably to speak with Eric to see what's going on. Dominic called back to the phone and said the installer will come back to finish the job on 2/21. I said, “Okay, but why did I have to call you guys three times this week, and no one gave me a call back?” He replied, “I don’t know ma’am, but thank you for being patient with us.”

This has been the worst of the worst. I asked Eric, when I spoke with him, to give me an itinerary of the steps, but he said he can’t do that because “it’s too hard to know what is next.”

It's really sad how this project has been conducted. I feel like there's no proper communication when it comes to this project. If you don't call the company, they will leave you stranded. NO COMPASSION AND NO REMORSE

We had several people involved during this bathroom installation process. In the original paperwork I picked out Kohler brand items but then it was switched to Delta so check your paperwork. I also didn’t know it was a 6 day process so it was a struggle getting the time off work! Other than that we are very pleased with our new shower and all the workers that came to our house were very respectful and professional.

Absolute Construction recently installed new cabinets in my kitchen. The installer was on time, courteous, skilled, and helped me choose the correct cabinet pulls as well! He did a great job. Thank you.

This company is horrible. They quote you one thing and do another. They also cut corners and try charge you extra stuff that they claim doesn’t cover what you were quoted. Dry wall not cut flush. Don’t install cabinet to meet the floor or tell you about it until the end. And the try and charge you more. They are one of the rudest company to work with and try to gouge you at any time possible. Their electric company uses scare tactics to charge you more. Just stay away. Not sure how they have 4 star rating. Should be negative 10.

Update from their reply: Absolute still isn't telling the whole truth. Not shocking at all. We paid for the additional services that arose during the remodel, electrical, plumbing, and from them as well. We even updated our smoke/Co2 detectors because they told us they were outdated and it wasn't cheap!! We questioned an additional dry wall cost because it was in the electrical cost and never explained clearly on why there was a cost. We also questioned the cost of the repairing an outside spigot because their demo guys dry walled over and removed it from the brick outside. We even paid for them to install brackets for our countertops that should have been included in the cost of a remodel. They like to keep adding on additional costs and claim it was never in the scope of work. The communication was horrible the whole time.

They showed up the day of the inspection with little notice to finish tie up loose ends. My wife and I both had to come home early from work to let them in. They finally set out a guy name Glenn to hear our concerns and he didn't listen argued everything. The only reason we are still in negotiation is because we contacted Home Depot corporate after Absolute said they were done with the job and just wanted to waive funny money to fix the problem. I'll give an update and adjust my rating if they fix the issues that we addressed with Home Depot.

We are entirely pleased with our kitchen rehab.
Gary was on time, amiable , did great work and cleaned up afterwards. Would highly recommend.

Absolute Construction is the best. Took out the old cabinets and installed new cabinets on time. Also electricians, plumber were on time and worked efficiently. All done on schedule. Highly recommend this company.

The only positive experience I had was dealing with the actual cabinet installer, Jacek. He was wonderful.

Management and the office team at Absolute Construction are absolutely terrible.
I was assigned a project manager, Steve. He called me 1 time throughout the entire process. Every time I called him, I was sent to voicemail, no return call. Everyone I spoke to in the office (especially Carter) was rude, un-responsive and un-professional. I stressed how important communication was to us at the beginning of this project because we live in another state and are coordinating work trips/flights with this project. I received absolutely zero communication about timelines and project status.

This is my 4th kitchen renovation in 10 years and I’ve never had such a disappointing team to work with. Lesson learned.

Great experience with Absolute Construction (not so much Home Depot). Our installer Dave was punctual and professional. We are excited to start using our new kitchen island once the countertops are installed. Thank you so much!

I had an excellent experience with Absolute Construction. I purchased kitchen cabinets through Home Depot and Absolute Construction coordinated all aspects of the installation, plumbing and electrical. All of the contractors were prompt and professional. I’ll post a photo when the job is complete.

Working with Absolute Construction was wonderful. Everyone was experienced and professional. They made the entire kitchen remodeling process so easy. We couldn’t have done it without them!

Absolute construction did a great job of installing our cabinets and shelves. They were clean, quiet and efficient. They would definitely recommend.

We’re just wrapping up our Home Depot kitchen remodel which was installed by Absolute Construction in the greater Nashville area. Being new to the area, we didn’t want to risk a project of this size with a contractor we didn’t know so we went to Home Depot. No regrets!! Absolute did an amazing job and we’re delighted with the results.
Their installers were seasoned professionals and as picky about details as I am. (Thank you Marty and Logan!) They were always prompt, courteous and careful as they worked in our home. They managed to demo the old kitchen without making a huge mess and then did a great clean up anyway. In fact they cleaned up really well every day, which we really appreciated. Their workmanship is top notch, the finished installation is just beautiful and we couldn’t be happier—
we definitely recommend Absolute Construction.

If you are looking for a company that follows through clear to the end of your project, look no further. Cabinet installer John was one of the best people we have ever had on any home project. John always called beforehand to let us know he was on his way and was ALWAYS on time. John went out of his way to ensure that any issue was taken care of and kept us informed through the whole project. Absolute did a fantastic job on every aspect. If you need any project done, John is your guy, he is the only reason we continued with our project from Home Depot. If it would not have been for Absolute and John, we would have canceled this project. Michael from Home Depot in Lebanon, Tennessee designed our island then Store Assistent Manager Shaun lied about stuff that he said to Store Assistant Manager Michael and then told me it was my fault the cabinets they designed didn't fit. Absolute was always honest and upfront with us. I would highly recommend John and only want him to do any projects I have in the future.i would stay away from Home Depot unless you are dealing with their regional folks. Absolute is the best though.

Absolute Construction did the installation of our cabinets through our Home Depot purchase. We found the company to be very professional. Our installer, Pat, did a great job putting our cabinets in on his own the day before Thanksgiving. He was courteous and knowledgeable, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Absolute assisted with the installation of a new vertical floor to ceiling kitchen cabinet next to my fridge (procured through Home Depot). Great work and quick in execution.

The contractor who arrived for our small breadbox under counter cabinet removal was on time (early even), clean (he vacuumed up any dust and took out all of the garbage made). I’d hire them again.

The work was done on time and in a very professional manner. Installer was personable and respectful of our home. He sought clarification and answered all our questions. We would highly recommend them.

When you call, ask for Carter - he is a gem! Personable, professional and he follows through. (By the same token, avoid John who is all doublespeak and unable to be professional when questioned). Price for the renovation was high - and at every turn it seemed like there was an additional charge. However, about a month later I am still in awe of the kitchen they created … it is really stunning. (Backsplash and floor were not done by Absolute).

Professional, friendly, respectful, on time, great communication. Still waiting for missing cabinet (not Absolute Construction issue), but look forward to completion of cabinet install soon to give a full review

The attitude of providing solid customer service prevails at this company. We remodeled our condo using their services and it all worked well.

Great communication, Luis did Great work on the wall and shower door. Robert Also did great work on the plumbing and installing the tub. Tom the sales rep. Was on time and followed up within a few hours with the quote. He stayed in touch with us to ensure we were happy with the products that we ordered. I can't say enough about this company. From the sales rep., to the office and everyone in the middle.

We purchased our new kitchen from Home Depot and used Absolute Construction for the installation of the Cabinets, farmhouse sink, and appliances. ( microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator). Our home is an historic home in New Bedford and as with all old homes installation of anything is a challenge.
A sub- contractor one man team showed up 8 am on the first day.
Since the requirement for installation was to have all the cabinets and appliances in the home this was a challenge for the installer being a one man band. However, he met the challenge and then some. Moving around all these items was a challenge but he did it and was successful.
First day he completed the cabinets installation and they look beautiful. He also worked a 12 hour day non stop.
He returned 7:00 the next day ( he also lived 1.5 hours away) and completed installation of all the handles and trimming. Once all was done, he installed the farmhouse sink which weighed 150 pounds all by himself.
First building the frame for the sink, then installed it. We were amazed at his workmanship and abilities.
Lastly he installed all the appliances moving them in place.
Final thing was to vacuum up everything. Cabinets, walls, floor, etc.
He hauled away all the empty cardboard boxes and wood from framing and crates.
The application gives 5 stars, I give this gentleman and he was a gentleman 6 stars for an outstanding over the top 2 long day project. If you are lucky and go with Absolute for your next project, I would highly recommend Absolute and especially this gentleman who installed our new kitchen.

Nice, professional job removing my old wall oven and installing my new one. They took the old one out of the house to await pick up so I didn't have it sitting around for two days.

My kitchen looks wonderful. Everyone who worked on it from Absolute was very good at their jobs - electricians, the carpenter, the plumber, and the drywall guy. Still need floors and countertops, but I know I'm going to be very happy with the end result.

Pat was fantastic! Multiple other construction companies claimed they couldn’t do what we were looking for, but Absolute/Pat made it seem easy. Pat was always on time, great communication, and great end result.

Absolute construction has been great to work with. Their communication from the very beginning of the process was timely and proficient. Marty was very professional and did a wonderful job on the installation of our cabinets. He did a great job at communicating with us and remedied a few install issues we had when combining old cabinets with new. We are very happy with the product.

Our contractor was very professional, experienced, skillful, and self sufficient. I enjoyed watching him move through the project in a methodical and proficient manner. I was deeply impressed by his attention to detail and his ability to adapt to our unique project with it's different nuances. Pat was very polite and respectful. Did a great job installing my cabinets. They pointed out that one part came broken and they're coming back with the part to fix it, instead of just ignoring it and acting like it wasn't broken. They were professional, they made sure we got what we wanted, and they cleaned up after they were done. Would definitely use them again.

We’ve had Absolute Construction help us twice now…once for a kitchen extension project and then a couple years later to build out a bar for us. They were a pleasure to work with both times. Friendly and professional, responsive and timely - and on top of that they do great work! Very detailed-oriented and clean. Would use them again or recommend them without hesitation!

I had an excellent experience with the Absolute Construction team in remodeling my master bathroom in Chicago. Jim, Aaron, Matt, Chris and team were exceptionally helpful, responsive and did an amazing job. I would highly recommend Absolute Construction. Next up….the kitchen!

Let’s start with the customer service. Even when trying to get the initial quote, they never called to schedule the time, the out of the blue, the rep calls to say he’s on his way. I responded that we would have to reschedule as they never gave me a time/day that they wanted to come in the first place (which should have been my first red flag). Though the tile work in our bathroom looks nice and the guy that did the demo was awesome, our biggest issue was with the plumber and the end result. There were times where he just didn’t show up, and we had to call and call to figure out what was going on. I really wanted a soaker tub. The plumber didn’t want to put down the mortar layer underneath the tub to stabilize it, now the tub creaks and you can feel it unsteady immediately after it was installed. I hate my bathroom more and more each day. It’s a shame that we will have to call someone else in to rip it up and install it properly. The thing that made me angriest is that when we called to get the plumber back out to fix the creaks/unsteadiness, he went on to say it’s the floorboard, like thanks a lot Sherlock we knew that much. $11,000 wasted!

Chuck did a great job installing my kitchen cabinets. I got really nervous when he said he would be doing it all by himself- but he did it! Still can’t figure out how, but it looks beautiful!

I had the best experience with Absolute Construction. Our kitchen installer arrived right when he said he would and went straight to work. He asked questions if he had them and let me know what was going on through the install. He even saw a couple things wrong with the cabinets that we didn’t see! I was very pleased with him and his work. I would definitely recommend them for any kitchen remodel and will use them again for other projects!

We just finished a remodel of our bathroom with Absolute and it turned out great!! Aaron and Matt were great to work with. Very easy to get in touch with when I had questions. Bill, who did all the construction work, was excellent!! Very detailed and thorough. Bill kept us informed on the progress and when he would be here to work. Bill is a hard worker!! The plumber (can't recall his name) was excellent too!! He explained what he was going to do and asked my thoughts on faucet placement in the tub. I appreciated that question and the chance to move it up a bit! We will be using Absolute again for another bathroom remodel!!

Working with Absolute Construction was an Absolute Crisis. Three different associates working on one project, with three varied quotes, by thousands of dollars. Poor customer service, where the associate stated Absolute Construction couldn't keep going back and forth on providing a quote for the project. Thanks Jon, Josh, and Kirk for an absolutely disappointing service.

Guys were on time. Did a great job installing cabinets. They also explained what was left to do since I was missing one cabinet. They cleaned up after themselves. Very professional. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

Tony, from Absolute Construction was professional, knowledgeable, and personable! We truly appreciated the work he did and the respect he had for our property. He was thoughtful and made contact and connections several times during his work time.

The installers were great! They answered all my questions and took care of everything. All of the work they did looks great.
