Jordan and his father are the best! We hired them to install aluminum soffits and fascia on our house and properly seal our skylights. While waiting for the weather to get warm enough for the project, we had an ice dam form - which they came over to help us address right away!

They were extremely professional, honest, hardworking and punctual. They completed the project in a timely manner and we’re so pleased with the quality of their work.

They’re fair with their pricing and did exactly what they said they would do.

We would highly recommend them!

WARNING! DO NOT USE FOR ANY BUILDING OR WOODWORK! If I could give this company zero stars I absolutely would! Terrible communication, terrible workmanship, terrible customer service. ABC Exterior Services LLC came out to do a second job, building a set of front stairs.

My first complaint with this company is they never called to say whenever they would be out, and all other communication was very poor. During my initial conversation with the dad we discussed doing a deck that was not attached to my house. Day one they demoed the old deck, fine. When they came out again they drilled two holes with their machine for the front two footings and CHOPPED DOWN MY BURNING BUSH! (They arrived a day early, if they’d come when they were supposed to my landscaper would have moved it). I had told Jordan in a text replying to their “we will be there sometime today” that my landscaper has not been there yet, so my bushes had not been moved. Jordan told me - He didn’t think they will be a problem but would let me know. Well, I was home and they never bothered to ask me about it or call me, just went ahead and chopped it down!

Second complaint. They said they had to attach the steps and landing to my house because their machine couldn’t get close enough to drill the holes for the other footings. My exterior of my house is stucco. I asked, “are you going to repair my stucco?” The dad and son, Jordan, said yes and would match the color on the house as close as they could. Well, their idea of fixing stucco is filling with spray foam, sanding it down, and covering it with something else. They do not repair stucco correctly or know what it means to repair stucco by their actions. So now, if I have water or other issues this winter in my basement I’ll be calling with a lawyer.

Once they began actually building the structure the wood they were using was and is visually horrible. They never called when they picked it up saying “hey wood looks awful would you like to postpone until wood selection is better?” They just went ahead and got what they wanted. The top of the structure you can see to the ground, not evenly spaced or spaced appropriately (should only be a nail heads width apart). Now, the wood is warping, splitting and showing various age signs. This deck is only 6 weeks old and looks terrible. Definitely a conversation starter with visitors, who have all told me I should’ve never paid this company and should’ve taken them to court for their awful work. Especially not fixing my stucco like they said they would.

Third complaint. When I started to voice concerns I was brushed off and told I was lucky they were doing the job. When I told them I didn’t want to lose my burning bush, they told me “well you’re getting a nice deck out of the deal.” When my mom and I both complained about the deck covering our cement landing they said, “well we weren’t going to demo your old concrete so we adjusted.” Again, not talking to us about the work just moving on their judgement. I told them I had a demo guy. The dad said they could come back and remove the stairs so my demo guy could do his work. I told him it was too late and they weren’t welcome anymore. At one point they told me I was lucky they were even doing the deck because they weren’t making any money off me and they had bigger jobs they could be doing. Always full of excuses instead of owning their mistakes and acting like adults.

Fourth complaint. I wanted a finished deck with flat boards around the top - these should’ve been two by fours, but they were not. They are not flush and are warping. All over the deck you can see the yellow screws they used and they are not flush with the wood. The entire thing is an eye sore.

I could go on, but I will spare you the rest of my nightmare. You can see from my other reviews I’m not a complainer. I hold customer service and workmanship in top regard. This company did not meet any expectation I had for the front steps.

Prompt, courteous service. I needed gutter and soffit repair. I tried to get a quote from a local place in Gurnee, but they were a no show. I am so happy they bailed on me. ABC Exterior does quality work and doesn’t try to get you to do more than you need. On top of that, their rates are extremely reasonable and affordable. I definitely recommend them! I can’t say enough about this business! I will definitely use them again - Jordan is A+.
