A-1 Heating & Cooling

A-1 Heating and Cooling did an excellent job today, it is 89 degrees out with a real feel of 99 degrees. Ronnie and Josh worked on my Frigidaire 15K Window AC today and fixed the cooling problem after doing several systems checks. There is a noticeable improvement now in cooling. Thank You A-1 for an excellent job. I have been using A-1 through my Property manager for 10 years and they always proved excellent service.

I have been using the maintenance plan and repair services of A-1 Heating and Cooling for 6 years now and I highly recommend the A-1 family company. My go to person has always been Melissa, she has always been there for me when needed, she is also very competent and knowledgeable in all her responsibilities, like sending me a portable window air conditioning unit when I didn't think I needed one. Kudos also to the technicians Joshua and Dimitri and installer, Brian and his assistant William. After 6 years and a older HVAC system it finally needed replacement. I did not hesitate to call Melissa when I had warm air blowing out of my vents. She sent out a technician as soon as possible, they found the problem, Melissa proceeded to get the ball rolling and a new HVAC system was ordered. Melissa was a big part of the reason I chose immediately to order the unit from A-1. Over the years, she has built my trust in the company and she has always been pleasant and professional to work with. A big thank you, and kudos to you all, great job! I'm loving my new HVAC unit!

We had another HVAC system service this week. The service was excellent again. The tech answered all my questions and did an outstanding job. A1 has been our go-to company for years. They do a great job at reasonable prices. Be sure to give them a chance for your AC/ heating needs.

A1!! Hands down is the best company to help you out in a bind. We had an other company come out that took 5 minutes to look, said it was a piston and charged us $79!! That was on July 2nd, we still haven't heard from them to fix our AC, it is now July 8th and up until now we had no AC, we had to buy 2 window units due to having animals and a mother-in-law visiting from out of town with health issues. A1 came out, and within an hour the issue was diagnosed and it had nothing to do with the piston!! Dmetry was awesome!! Very knowledgeable, friendly and even cleaned off our AC unit!! The company didn't even charge us for the second opinion!! We really wish we called sooner, we could've saved a lot of money. We saved at least $900 and the technician said we could have them out to clean the coils for a very affordable amount. There is also a 1 year warranty!! Please make A1 your first call, don't be dumb like us, we could've had air a week ago if we knew sooner about this company!!

Our unit stopped cooling a couple of days ago and we thought maybe the unit was frozen or just overwhelmed from the heat this week but within 2 minutes he found the issue in a fried harness that just needed replacing. Within 20 minutes of his arrival he had replaced the harness and had the air conditioning back up and running. He made sure that the unit was working properly and cooling correctly prior to leaving. Only after he left did I realize he had cleaned the unit and even placed the water hose rolled up better than he found it.
Too often professionals like Jesse take the time to make others comfortable while quietly and humbly suffering the elements in service to others. Many thanks and gratitude for you Jesse and without a doubt A1 Heating and Cooling have a dedicated employee that is a true asset to the company.

My AC unit was clogged and flooding my pantry, under the fridge, kitchen, under my washer & dryer and even my half guest bath. Jesse showed up quickly and located the issue quickly. I wasn't able to be present when he arrived but he definitely gave me a sense of security. He even shop vacc'd and mopped up the inches of water. Def recommend this company and Jesse! Not sure if you can request him, but I'd recommend it

Just witnessed a technician verbally abuse a customer. A young lady doing her job was insulted and in tears all because she was following protocol at her place of employment. I would not refer this company if this is how they speak to customers. Uncalled for and unnecessary very unprofessional. I hope you do get the video and see how unprofessional your technician was

I've been a customer of A1 for 20 years. Recently, they replaced my 28 year old unit. Professional, showed up promptly, cleaned up and explained everything. These guys are the best! Professionals with pride in their work.

I initially called another company for my a/c not working. They came out and assessed that the blower and a Valve was needing to be replaced. They put in a temporary blower to remedy until the parts would come in for the repair. The house was hot for the weekend. They sent me a text on Monday for the quote for the repair, which I accepted. A few minutes later they sent a text that the parts would take about 4-6 weeks to arrive. I wasn't accepting this and decided to call A-1 as I have used them in time past. I spoke with Terry and told them the issue. I gave him the parts that needed to be replaced. He told me that it could possibly take that long for the parts but he would send someone out to look at the a/c. Shortly after that Josh came out. He assessed that the replacement blower that was put in by the other company was put in wrong. Once it was put in correctly he discovered the valve did not need to be replaced. So with Josh's assessment the only thing needed was a new blower. We had a repaired unit the same day. Going forward I will be using A-1 .

Horrible customer service. Was told a repair person would be at my residence between 1 and 3. No one showed up. Called back at 3, told they would be there soon. Now 5, no one cared to show up, no one was professional enough to call and now they are closed. Do not waste your time or money with these people. Call someone else.

I called this morning. A father's day Sunday morning, because my ac went out yesterday, and in no time at all Corey called and said he'd be here soon. And he was, and he was beyond nice, and beyond helpful, and showed me, and explained to me what happened, why it happened, and then explained how to prevent it from happening again. The whole time corey was here, working in the heat. On a father's day, he was the most nice, courteous, and understanding person, that I totally wouldn't expect him to be under these conditions. Kudos to him. And a1 for making this the best experience I have ever had with a hvac company.

The technician arrived promptly and was very knowledgeable. He was friendly and worked quickly. The problem was fixed within 5-10 minutes and didn’t overcharge for the work performed. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommended A1 every time.

Good try on the PR, & NO THANKS. 100% Sure it was your company, different last name. You guys came out to my house while i was away on work, and as a previous HVAC guy I cannot believe how they took advantage of the situation. Firstly, They came in for a duct repair and ended up shutting off our gas stating there was a leak which is not existent!! Secondly, this was an insurance job and they knew that. Meaning they know its an easy way to up their charge. Lastly, they took advantage of a woman to scam our homeowners insurance out of money. This last part may not seem like a huge deal, but as a whole, it causes homeowners insurance to go higher and higher for them to make an extra buck. Imagine if someone didnt have the benefit of a claim to financially back them? Taking advantage of people in a pandemic is awful. Stay clear of them.

A-1 heating and cooling is a great company for HVAC needs. They have reasonable prices....the best I could find in Clarksville...and their technicians are very professional and knowledgeable.

Heat suddenly stopped working when it was in the 30's here. After contacting 3 companies, A-1 Heating & Cooling was the only company to get someone out the same day. Discovered the problem and repaired at very reasonable cost. I would highly reccomend this company for any Hvac problems you may have.

My upstairs system (heat pump) developed a leak in the air handler coil. Rather than repair it since it was the original (17 years old), I decide to replace the entire system. Several companies quote. A-1 was competitive and after reading their reviews and researching the Brand (York), decided to go with them.
Great Choice!! The installers were excellent. A professional install, and they cleaned up when they were finished. When an wiring issue arose, Josh was called. He and another tech came out immediately and resolved it.
The new system is terrific, quiet, and provides more uniform heat throughout the entire upstairs.

I would highly recommend for any AC/heating needs. They responded quickly and got our AC working without a problem. They can also do electrical work, lighting, etc. If you want good honest people working for you, use A1 Heating and Cooling.

I needed to install ducting and a roof vent for my range hood. I had asked numerous HVAC companies around town to do it with no luck. They all said they only do commercial installations. I was at wits end until by chance someone suggested I try A-1 Heating and Cooling. Much to my relief Ronnie Perry the owner said he would do it. He ultimately sent the installation team out. Shaun was the lead installer. My concern was that the ducting would get in the way of the area in the attic which we used for storage. Shaun came up with a way to route the ducting so it wouldn’t interfere with anything. I was very pleased with their work and the cost was very reasonable.

These guys were fast and efficient. The techs were knowledgeable and kind to my family. And the owner is a top-notch local businessman making a big difference in our community - in and outside of his business.

Also, after installing our new system, my four-month-old slept all the way through the night from 7 PM to 7 AM last night for the first time in his life. Coincidence? I think not.

Great service and prices every time. I have used this company now for 4 years and their service and work are always the same, superior!

We were recently having some issues with our home HVAC unit. I looked around online and contacted A-1 due to their awesome reviews. The technician came out the same morning and looked at our unit and told us that the system needed to be replaced. My wife and I knew this was coming, so we told the technician that we would like an estimate to replace it. He said they usually run about $4400 to $4500 dollars. I'm not a wealthy man and I didn't not have all of the money so I asked about finance options. The technician said someone from the office would give us a call with that information. So we paid the fee for him looking over our system. Which is no problem at all because he did render some type of service. We waited until around 1315 to call and see what the deal was with the finance options and they told my wife to hang tight that someone would give us a call shortly. We waited again until 1545 ( they close at 1600) and they said someone will give us a call after hours. Now it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I have a one year old. I can cover up to get warm, but my child doesn't understand why she has to stay covered up. The next morning we waited for them to contact us with no such luck, so we gave them another call around 0930. We were told that the owner was out, he had the estimate completed, and would give us a call. We finally called another Company (one hour heating and cooling) while on the phone with one hour, A-1 finally called to tell us that Wells Fargos system is down. That's who they use for financing, and that is what was taking so long. Thank God that we contacted One hour because we are still waiting on a call back from A-1. I understand that stuff happens and technology fails sometimes, but at least try to make me feel like you care. Don't just leave someone hanging in the wind. The estimate from one hour heating was a bit more expensive, but I didn't mind because their customer service was 10x better, they seemed like they genuinely care, and most of all are very professional. For such good reviews I expected a better experience. Either way one hour cooling and heating picked up A-1 slack.

A friend of mine turned me on to A-1 Heating and Air back in 2014 for my home. When the tech arrived for the first visit I knew I was sold. The tech took his time and explained exactly what he was doing. When it was discovered that my compressor motor went out, he took care of looking up the warranty information and procuring the replacement part. At one time I thought the unit for our upstairs was too small, A-1 came out and took a look and said it was the right size for my home. The tech gave me some ideas on how to combat the heat and it worked like a charm. Fast forwarding to 2018, I own a business in Clarksville and recently built out a new office in an existing building. A-1 came in and installed our Data Center (AKA: Computer Room) AC unit and re-routed all the existing DUCT work in the office area for the new design. The A-1 team did a fantastic job and everything was completed as it was explained to me during the pre-construction spec out. Without any hesitation, I strongly recommend A1 to anyone looking for a reputable and highly skilled company for HVAC systems.

After dealing with an ok air company and really horrible wait times (days) I had a friend tell me to use this place. By far superior service. In the summer my control panel went out and the first company only temporarily fixed the problem. A1 came out and solved it. They were fair priced and the worker was really nice.
Some unfortunate luck on my part led to a faulty wire after the cold weather hit and I caused lack of heat. They were able to fit me in same day and get our house warmed again, and another great worker.
And wouldn’t you know that again I had bad luck and spider webs were causing my issues this time. This time I met the owner. Genuinely nice! If I could wear their shirt around town or a sign on my car for them I would. Really is a great company and everyone has been a genuinely nice person. I’d rate higher if there were more stars. They really are fair priced and they will not try to rip you off. Good all around business

I cannot rave enough about this place! Over the weekend our home warranty failed to fix our A/C for the second time. We have a special needs son with epilepsy and heat is very dangerous for him. I called and explained to the on call rep my situation, and he stated they had calls until 9 pm. Shortly after the owner called and personally made arrangements for someone to come to our home and address our A/C. They showed up approx 45 mins after we called and saved the day. Thank you to Ronnie and Josh, we are so blessed and thankful for your assistance!

Hey, I need to tell you about what a great technician Jason is. He went above and beyond to get my AC systems working at their optimal capacity. He answered all of my questions with a professional's knowledge. And, his customer service skills are "on point." You have a good employee there. Do what it takes to keep him.
