Within an hour of calling, we had 2 technicians here to save us. Our basement flooded and a massive amount of stuff was ruined. David + Danielle not only cleared the massive area in a matter of hours, they were respectful + kind. They are great at what they do, they actually care about the work they're doing + the people they're helping.

Never use 911 Restoration of Northwest Indiana. In my opinion, based on recent experience, this company operates as a scam to get as much equipment in your home and leave it there for as long as they can to run up a bill. And when you question the bill their first response is to threaten you with a lien on your property and sending you to collections.

On Wed. evening (April 2, 2025) I called 911 Restoration of NWI for minor water accumulation in my basement. They sent a team to my home that night and installed multiple blowers and dehumidifiers throughout my basement. They advised we would need the equipment for 1-2 days and they would return to my home daily to check the progress. At that time I advised them that I was going out of town the next morning and would return on Tue. (April 8, 2025). I provided my cell number and the cell number for my son and daughter-in-law who live close by, to coordinate daily access to my home. When I returned home on Tue. (April 8, 2025) I noted the equipment was still in my basement. I had no messages from 911 Restoration. I received my first voicemail message from 911 Restoration on April 8th at 4:37 PM asking if they could come by and check on the floor. (My daughter-in-law also received a voicemail message the same day, April 8,2025). I returned the call at 4:44 PM the same day and told them to come and remove their equipment. When I asked why the equipment was still there they said because I was out of town and they did not have access to my home.

On April 11, 2025 I received an invoice for $8,375 from 911 Restoration. I called and spoke with Leslie and advised that no one left a message for me regarding access to my home until April 8th. I agreed to pay for two days of equipment (approx. $3,000) as I was told this would require 1-2 days of equipment on site. Leslie advised she would send a revised invoice the next day. I never heard back from Leslie, nor did I receive a revised invoice, so I called back the following day. I ended up speaking with Marc Burns who advised they would not honor Leslie's commitment and threatened to put a lien on my home and send me to collections. Marc Burns followed up with an email advising he had received authorization to resolve this matter for $6,500, which is almost five days of service.

Again, my recommendation is to Never use 911 Restoration of Northwest Indiana.

UPDATE 5/1/2025 - I received a disingenuous response from 911 Restoration of Northwest Indiana which only reinforces my opinion to never use this company. I never received a legitimate attempt from this company to contact me for access to my home in my absence. On April 4th at 3:52 PM I show a missed call from an unknown wireless caller without any voicemail message. Also, on April 7th at 10:09 AM I received another missed call from the same unknown wireless caller, again with no voicemail message. The unknown wireless caller number was not identified as belonging to 911 Restoration, nor is it referenced on their website as belonging to 911 restoration. I, like most people, am not in the habit of returning missed calls from unknown wireless callers. However, as mentioned in my original review, I received my first voicemail message from 911 Restoration on April 8th at 4:37 PM asking if they "could come by and check on the floor". I returned that call at 4:44 PM the same day after listening to the message, and told them to come and remove their equipment.

Lastly, I agreed to pay for 2 days of service, which was the original estimate and agreed to by Leslie at 911 Restoration. I was told by Leslie at 911 Restoration that she would send a revised invoice the next day. I never heard back from Leslie, nor did I receive a revised invoice. Based on their initial estimate, and the agreement with Leslie, I agreed to send payment of $3,020 to 911 Restoration for an estimated 2 days of service. This offer was rejected by Marc Burns at 911 Restoration.

All I had to do was make the call and Leslie took over from there. 911 Restoration responded to my emergency and did an excellent job handling my water damage. James was very professional and provided details of the damage and next steps. He showed up when he said he would and kept in contact to provide updates. I would definitely recommend 911 restoration as 1st choice if needed. Thank you Leslie for your communication and follow up as well.

After my basement flooded during a sump pump failure in heavy rainfall, 911 Restoration was right on the spot with their water mitigation measures. They were extremely punctual and professional during the whole process and I would highly recommend them for anyone encountering flooding issues

I wanted to share a review for 911 Restoration and how it was such a great experience to work with them when my parents had the Hot Water Heater flood the entire basement the morning after Xmas. They came within 2 hours of calling them at 4:45am to clean up everything. It was also a pleasure to get to work with Leslie Doneff at 911 for coordinating all the communications for the work crews and making sure everything went smoothly. Overall working with 911 Restoration was a huge pleasure and relief considering the disaster that hit my parents. 911 really helped all of this go smoothly. I highly recommend them when you are in a situation like this!!!! Thank you again Leslie and the whole 911 Restoration crew!

I would never recommend 911 Restoration to anyone after they completely took advantage of an insurance job. They overcharged for the amount of work completed and sent invalid documentation to our insurance company claiming they removed and hauled away items that they never did!

We asked the project manager for an estimate of where we were at before moving forward and were told one price which seemed acceptable for the work they had done up to that point. We then were told work would be completed on certain days but never to hear from the project manager. I had to reach out to them to find out if they were coming.

The disinfectant process for sewage backup was poor. The project manager spent less than 10 mins spraying the area and said they were done. In addition they charged for additional days of equipment usage when they were left sitting in my house.
The convenient time for them to come to my house was inconvenient for me due to being at work and I had advised they could come later that day but they never showed up. They left wet carpeting sitting on new drywall that had not been damaged. In addition they damaged our stairs and swept sewage out our sliding glass door instead sucking it up with a wet vac.

We repeatedly asked for an updated price and were told it’s like when you go to doctor putting in codes and they still couldn’t provide an updated price. They never sent us the final invoice, but proceeded to send it to the insurance company and keep up us out of the loop.
We didn’t seem like a priority to the company after they learned we would be completing the work ourselves and I’m sure glad we did, because they would have made sure there wasn’t any money left. This company preys on people that are desperate and are need of help during an emergency!

We are so appreciative to this company for saving us a lot of trouble! The winter was too much for the pipes, and we had to call out on a weekend! James and Javonte were prompt, knowledgeable and very helpful in expediting our clean up! We couldn’t be more grateful, and will be sure to recommend this company again in the future!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Did a terrible job in my basement. Left standing water, didn’t properly dispose of waste, and did more damage then preventing it. Over charged my insurance just because they could. Showed up to my house with multiple employees under the age of 16 years old. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! Never received an invoice to this day. But my insurance sure got it!!! Destroyed my stairs in the process most likely because two middle schoolers did the bang up job on the floor protection paper. Still waiting on that invoice maybe I’ll get it next year!!!

A rip off company! First, they don’t want to disclose an estimate amount to you upfront. We had to wait the very next day and call three times in order to get a price which was way over the amount we were expected to Pay. Our lower level wasn’t even entirely flooded so I cant imagine how much they would charge if the entire area was flooded. I would not work with this company unless you get a dollar amount before they start service! They Are counting on you using your insurance to get the big bucks, which is a telltale sign to begin with! They are sneaky and I would not recommend this company at all! We were better off renting the machines and doing everything ourself!

We had a septic backup and were having trouble getting someone out to help us. 911 Restoration was quick to respond and very friendly. The guys who came out were great. Both professional and personable. I highly recommend them.

These guys saved me my sump pump failed they were here in less than an hour after we called.They pulled all carpet up and got it out.They set up 14 blower machines sprayed disenfectint house smelled better in an hour.True professionals.I would use this company again they were great.

911 restoration showed up at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening of the Great Chicago flood on 9/11 to take pictures of the damage. They were there first thing Monday morning to remove the carpet and dry the walls with 15+ blowers. They have been back every day to check on the progress and test the walls conveying that information to me daily. Their service is beyond impeccable and I would recommend them to everyone I know with flood damage.

After waiting over 24 hours for them to call me I called them….The customer service agent told they can’t help me because I don’t have insurance. If you offer affordable services then why do you ask for insurance and why do I have to call you 3 times to get that answer. The first time I called I was told I would receive a call back with in 45 mins. What a joke.
