Amanda and Quint were great to work with for our new build and helped us through a difficult process from start to finish! From initial paperwork to permits to final approvals, they were with us every step of the way and made things a breeze for us! The Wood's and their crew (their own staff to their subcontractors) were personable, professional and fun all at the same time! We are so excited to begin this new chapter. We love our new home!

Quint and Amanda have been the best team to work with. They built and apartment in my basement and replaced some exterior doors for my family. They ensured that we were kept in the loop with progress at ever turn and the the work was done to the highest standard. We couldn't be happier with the end result.

When making the decision to build a home, we reached out to several builders for a quote and was amazed at the detailed response received from Amanda at Wood Construction. Her communication and detail made the decision easy. She provided an itemized statement with final cost which allowed us to trim where needed and add items from our wish list all while being conscientious of our budget. Amanda was patient as we adjusted and redesigned the floor plan to make it our “dream home.” We were firm on budget and Amanda kept us reined in and at the same time made affordable suggestions for items she knew were a must have.
The construction process was smooth and we were kept apprised each Sunday/Monday of the week’s agenda. Wood Construction kept right on schedule despite this winter’s unique weather patterns: torrential rain and winds and MUD. The work site was always clean and organized. The crew was respectful of our instructions not to drive in certain areas. The entire crew was extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone was available to answer questions and offer suggestions.
We had Pinterest dreams and Amanda worked with us to make some of them come true (a custom entry nook, unique pantry, custom linen closet and woodstove hearth) all while keeping us in budget. Amanda had the same vision for our modern farmhouse and she and Quint added touches to make it unique and stylish and down-right beautiful.
The quality of construction is nothing we were accustomed to. Everything was built to perfection and if something was “off,” it was promptly adjusted. The modern conveniences and touches are nothing we had expected and we are both excited to go home each night and watch our home come alive as we unpack and decorate.

Everyone told me how hard building a house is. How I was going to be so stressed and that it was a true test to a marriage. I have to say that in our experience they were all wrong.
From day one Quintin and Amanda were both so easy to work with. They took real time to listen to our needs and gave us suggestions on a few things that made our home work better for us. Once building began the amount of time and work they dedicated to the job was impressive! Communication was also excellent throughout the entire process! They were there with any question we had, it felt good to have trust in our builder. They are both good people who were there every day, ensuring everything went smoothly. Both my husband and myself were very happy with the quality of their work and the attention to detail. It feels good to know we now have a home that was built so well.
Hopefully this is our forever home, but if for any reason we need to build again in the future, Wood Construction will be our first call.

We scheduled with Amanda and Quintin for install of windows. The scheduled date was exactly the date they arrived to install and the guys were neat, efficient and friendly. Work was great and I would recommend!

Amanda and Quint exceeded our expectations. They were at the job site when they said they would be and completed the project when they said they would. I had a new roof installed and reached out. They returned calls promptly and communicated well. They fit me in pretty quickly and performed the work fast. Friendly and professional throughout. Cleaned up very well at the end of the job as well so no concerns with loose roofing nails.

Wood Construction Company turned out to be a wonderful choice to remodel our lowest level and build our new garage/guesthouse.  When my wife and I decided we needed to expand both our garage space and create an additional living space for my mother in-law and guests, we had some very specific criteria and demands the structure would have to meet.

Matching our Mediterranean style custom built home; with an exterior of stucco and stone, fairly unique in our area, was a tall order.   It was important that the remodel and our new structure completely match on the exterior and compliment our home inside.  The layout and functionality of the interior would need to be designed specifically to meet our needs.  Between the two large jobs we were adding garage space, full and half baths, a music room, living area, a full kitchen, bedrooms and laundry room.

We wanted to take advantage of our beautiful river view by incorporating themes and designs that expanded our experience of indoor / outdoor living with open concepts, vaulted ceiling, and unique windows and doors.  While a normal build process would cause you to agree to a specific model and design, then build without changes, Wood Construction worked with us every step of the way to make the end result align with our vision.  Amanda’s eye towards design and layout helped my wife consider options that turned out improving the flow and utility; while Quinton’s craftsmanship ensured it was sturdy and would last the stand of time. The two complimented each other very well and it came together without a hitch!

When ensuring we met building code, for newer requirements like sprinkler systems and determining best options for HVAC that impacted the intended design, Quinton and Amanda worked tirelessly to incorporate necessary changes to ultimately deliver the intended product.

Honestly, I would tell you that my wife and I are very particular and intent on getting exactly what we want. This is why we would highly recommend Wood Construction for your remodeling or building needs. They were the perfect choice and did everything in their power to create our dream come true!
