I highly recommend Brian and the team at Western Sky Designs. They are the most professional and detail oriented contractor team I have worked with. I used WSD to design and build a gorgeous custom deck. The project was completed ahead of schedule and the quality of the work was exceptional. I used WSD again for a first floor remodel including a complete bathroom remodel, hardwood floors, carpet, and a custom stair railing. Brian worked with me during the design process and communicated daily updates. The project was again, completed ahead of schedule with the same high quality work. Thanks to Brian and WSD I now have a beautiful custom home with beautiful indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Brian and WSD did an incredible job with our finished basement! The quality of work, completion timeline, and cost all exceeded our expectations and we are beyond satisfied. The basement is now used everyday (home gym, bedroom & bath, man cave) and is one of our favorite places in the whole house. Great job, WSD, we will use you again!

I have used Brian and his team for all of our pergola and deck work over the past 5 or so years. Running a landscape company has its own challenges so finding good subs are a priority of ours and when we do we don’t use anyone else. We initially wanted to repair existing deck from previous owner, but Brian and his team not only had a vision but had our safety in mind. Brian did an amazing job from start to finish On our deck project. We found not only our deck had rooted out but the wood in our house holding it up. Be was amazing working with structure engineers, city, city permit etc. he was patient, supportive, knowledgeable and helpful. I could not have done it without his help. And Brad the deck builder did the most amazing job on our deck. Even the inspector wished he had used them to build his deck. Thank you.

I was very satisfied with the work performed by Western Sky Design for replacement of a deck at a rental property. They performed the work efficiently, expeditiously and with good quality. Brian obtained permits from the City of Boulder and was very responsive to my questions and also the needs of the renter. I thought his pricing of the original work was reasonable as well as for a change order that was required to remove a concrete slab that was covered by the existing deck and not visible at the time of the original estimate.

Brian and his team built a covered deck and finished our basement for us. We are very pleased with the finished work, and he was able to complete both projects in tandem in about 3 months in the middle of the winter! Brian was also very helpful during the design and materials selection process. I highly recommend WSD!

Can’t say enough amazing things about Western Sky Designs. Our deck was rotting and needed to be replaced. Brian came out and walked us through options and provided a great bid. We were hoping to get it done by a major event with guests coming over. Happy to say he was able to make that happen!
His prices are very competitive. He provides constant updates, keeping us in the loop. He took care of working with the city for permits and scheduling inspections. His crew were hard working, friendly, and incredibly good and detail-oriented! We’ve already received a ton of compliments on the deck! We are so happy with the results and the whole process. I had a fairly large deck that needed replacement, and I was very happy with the resulting new deck from Western Sky Designs. Incredibly hard and careful work was put into both the demolition and the building of the new deck. Every follow up question I had was responded to professionally. I would strongly recommend them to anyone, and would use them again if ever needed.

Brian and his crew did a great job on building our cement fence. The gates were exactly what we asked for. The overall job was done on the timeline promised even during the pandemic. Thank you Brian.

Brian showed up late to our appointment, rude and short the entire time. We wanted our basement finished. He told us the pricing and work that would be done and then tried to upcharge us on services he stated were included. After several no call no shows we had to drop him.

p.s. We've seen him power trip as a high school referee on multi occasions. Overall unfriendly.

We had an excellent experience with Western Sky Designs. Over the past year we have done so much work on our house, both inside and out. I was about to give up on contractors. I came across Western Sky's work via facebook I think and after looking at their pictures I really liked what I saw. I met with Brian and gave him my thoughts on what we wanted for our patio. From the beginning Brian was professional and quality all around. He communicated with me throughout the whole process and did so in the way we like, informative, to the point and only when needed. His team was so awesome! One day we got a fine for not shoveling our snow (we didn't have time!) and the team shoveled it for us while we were at work. Totally not needed but its just a small example of how they go above and beyond and that they are just good people! Highly recommend!
