We had VK and Sons renovate our office in Midland Park, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, Mark and Paul kept us informed, maintained the highest level of professionalism, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend Mark and his guys for homeowners that are looking for true professionals. I used VK last year for a large spackling and paint job and was very happy with the results .... so I decided to call them again earlier this month for a bathroom refresh painting job. The bathroom celing was peeling very badly and needed a skim coat before painting. It came out great and they even caulked around the top of the surround tub and cleaned the ceiling vent. Their price was very reasonable and the job was done as promised. Mark and his guys are great to work with and I will be calling them again soon for another job!

VK & Sons couldn’t be an easier recommendation as we had great experience with Mark and his team. They came by soon after I completed the online form for a quote and gave us an extremely reasonable price compared to others. In addition to that, they worked with our schedule as we were simultaneously getting new windows installed and gave us time to complete that project. From start to finish the communication and expectations were clear, the team was professional and friendly, and they kept the surrounding areas of our home very clean each day. Although I missed calling out a few items (front step railing, pilot holes from a removed storm door), the team took care of those with no extra charge. The results completely transformed the look of our home and the cedar shakes look new.

Bonus - we have a 100 lb dog, and we worried he would complicate the daily schedule. But Mark’s team was very accommodating and made it easy for us to let the pup out in the yard during the day. Great company and a great team, definitely will work with them again.

We used VK&Sons for both interior and cabinet painting.
Gene, who does the cabinet work, was friendly and did meticulous work. Mark and his crew did the interior painting which included doors, walls, ceilings, trim and built-ins. They were hard working and respectful.
All involved in the work during my renovation were easy to work with, agreeable to added work or changes we asked for, were always punctual, very responsive, clean and professional.
The prep work was extensive and the finish work was exceptional. No regrets in hiring them. I would highly recommend VK&Sons.

We just moved to USR in 2021 and hired them to maintain/seal our deck last year and this year. They’ve been great. They have excellent people and do excellent work. I have already scheduled them for next year. Mark has been especially helpful. Thanks guys.

Overall work was fine. Had some communication problems that lead to some unexpected delays. Also ran over the estimate by a few grand but it was still a reasonable price.

Let me start off by saying that V.K. & Sons Inc. did a very nice job cleaning , repairing , and painting the exterior of my house during the summer of 2021. All of their employees were pleasant to work with and professional. This was an expensive job and I wanted the right company to perform the work.
Since it has been almost 1 year, aside from some slight paint blistering, small areas of window wood rot missed, and minute red rust "bleeding",
the house appears to be holding up quite well. The few areas of concern I have already repaired myself. Overall, I am still very pleased with how the job turned out.
I decided to hire V.K. and Sons Inc. for a winter scheduled interior job which unfortunately did not work out due to other customer's jobs taking precedence over mine. After waiting almost 90 days, my deposits were refunded promptly after I requested that they be returned.
In late 2021, I had two other jobs that had been fully paid for as well concerning a newly installed Anderson sliding glass door and Pella window. Since both of these items were installed in cold weather they could not be caulked and painted until warmer temperatures occurred according to the "owner" of V.K.& Sons Inc. We have already had a number of warm days which would have been appropriate for these two jobs to have been finally completed, but unfortunately they never were. I ended up hiring and paying another highly regarded carpentry/painting contractor
to complete the small amount of work left unfinished. In addition, the interior work that I requested back in November/December 2021 has now also finally been completed.
A simple sincere apology concerning the interior job "screw-up" instead of being told "good riddance" in an e-mail dated 03/18/2022 to a "good" customer who handed you a $30K+ exterior paint job would have worked out a lot better in the long run.

VK and Son did an amazing job. They are very professional, polite, clean and very punctual. Was a pleasure working with them and would definitely use them again.

Used this team to clean the outside of my cedar shingle home. I searched a while to find someone that would do the job properly since it wasn't a straight power washing job. They were very professional and did a great job! I'm very happy with the results.

We had them paint the entire inside of our house. Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and closets. They did an incredible job! We were beyond happy with how it all turned out! A job well done we had painting done, we interviewed many painters.. painting is one of the most important projects in your home, we have been around construction and renovation our whole lives and we are in our 60s. A bad paint job can destroy The value of your home. Layers and layers of paint over painting on doors windows and moldings ages and ruins the look and value of your home. They did the finest job ever seen, The work was impeccable from prep to finish!!! The walls were all lightly sanded and lightly spackled we are needed, there is a lot of crown molding, raised panel doors, 11 Windows and a set of French doors they sounded every nook and cranny the paint job was so smooth; as for the walls and ceilings they came out absolutely perfect there was not one floor to be found ! The color was true and consistent due to their excellent prep work and extremely talented craftsmanship!
As you read we take painting very seriously. This is our advice and opinion don’t go for the cheapest price are the low price because you will get what you pay for. If you want beauty and perfection these are your guys, for all the work the pricing was very very fair. They showed up the exact time every day and left the exact time every day, protected the floors from the entry door to the project rooms, they worked diligently with a very very short lunch break I think that’s the only time they sat down or stopped. Also there were no hidden fees or surprises we were charged exactly what the estimate quoted. If you want perfection these are your guys!!! Our only regret not hiring them sooner!!!

Vk and sons has an excellent customer service. The person who answered the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. They also do a unbelievable job painting both on the exterior and interior. They were super responsive and quick to finish the job. Today the install a toilet and sink in a timely fashion, and helped us pick out a new kitchen sink. Don’t even get me started about about there bio wash, everything that it touched makes it looks brand new. I highly recommend this company and all of their services.

We had our roof washed and the results were amazing! Looks like new. Mark was friendly and professional. We would highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend VK and Sons. They removed mold off my roof. I had put off having it done for years because I didn't know who to call. And I was afraid that it had grown too much on the roof and maybe was going to be hard to get rid of. But VK and Sons made my roof look brand new. They explain to me they use a process that does not harm your roof and even protects it from mold growing back too soon. VK was recommended to me and I would recommend them highly to anyone who wants to get rid of unsightly mold on their roofs.

Mark and his crew did an outstanding job washing our house. They hand sprayed and brushed the entire house, including gutters and trim. Amazing transformation - we debated not painting after the cleaning! The crew was courteous, professional, and meticulous. They did a fantastic job power washing my pavers on my patio. What a difference! They look brand new and it’s not a mess the way traditional power washers do the job. Very professional and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!!

This week Mark and his team did an outstanding job cleaning my backyard pool and paver patio area using the BioWash method. What a difference it has made to the feel and appearance of our outdoor space! Such a pleasure to work with professionals who deliver results as promised and in the time frame agreed upon!
I should also mention in the Fall of 2020 Mark and Paul did some
sheetrock repair and painting after an interior pipe had burst. Other contractors recommended repainting the entire area which is quite extensive (and expensive), but Mark was confident that was not necessary. He matched the paint perfectly both in color and application and there is absolutely no indication that the entire ceiling was not done at the same time.
Will definitely be calling on VK& Sons for future projects!!

VK and Sons did an amazing job in our home. They were extremely professional. Their work was beautiful and were so clean. Even when we added things to our list of things to do, they stayed on schedule and had my home ready for Thanksgiving. We highly recommend them.

Excellent experience. Very COVID-19 careful. The team was very professional starting promptly every morning and cleaning up the job site at the end of every day. Communications were very good with promptly returned calls and e-mails; no surprises. We had a lot of work done requiring juggling of rooms of furniture and the team was good at letting us know what to expect. Both my wife and I were able to work from home despite all the renovations being done. Best of all, when they said they would be out by end of day Tuesday, they were.

Mark and crew are terrific painters and very comfortable to work with. They recently painted our master bedroom and bath; incredibly neat and punctual, and their detail work is evident on my windows and trim. Highly recommend.

I have an old home that needs a good amount of work. I was looking for a company that would give me quotes for each project as apposed to making it one big project. I never knew it would be so hard.
