I had them come out to estimate a repair project under my house after new plumbing was installed. A woman and 2 workers showed up, the woman wasn't 5 ft in the door when she said I need to bring the house up to code. No one has told her anything, but it had to be brought up to code and PUD will rebate hte price by 30cents a foot, I will probably need to redo all exterior walls also to bring it up to code. Again no one has looked at anything, but it needs to be brought up to code. My home was built in 1992 and is an energy Star home. It was built better than code. I have R-19 under the house which is current code, but i need to bring it up to where it is already. SCAM, I am in my 60's and apparently easy prey to unscrupulus contractors. She said that i am losing 50% of my heat through the floor, again without anyone looking under the house, i mentioned that heat raises, not falls. She had no response other to say code again. When I told her i just wanted the repair done and i am not giving them thousands of dollars, she stopped and they left. I never recieved an estimate.

Love the windows install five years ago and recommend their business for expedience and professionalism. Made two trips recently to make a repair to my window that was leaking from storms. That was over and beyond their responsibility but so appreciated. Heartwarming to have a business that cares about their customers - current or past.

Drew Vessey and his partner Breanna Wood recently completed installation of 12 new Ply-Gem windows in our home. They were wonderful to work with from start to finish. I had a quote within 3 days of my initial phone call! I wanted one window bigger than the existing one and French doors in place of a large slider. Drew was very helpful in making sure this type of changes were well planned (for instance which way formerly un-opening window were designed, and the side lights on the French doors). Their prices were more than fair - and they added extras like fixing a rotted header board. Vessey & Son's Construction's work has added value to my home far beyond the cost - and there are also the ongoing weatherization benefits. Breanna stayed in touch with e-mails and phone messages throughout the process so we always knew what to expect. I felt very comfortable with them in my home during the work! I would hire this company again and hope you will too.

Not recommended for any services. Lied about qualifications and experiences to get your money. Will not communicate or return calls if you have issues. Do your homework and verify his licenses and bonding first, they are not truthful. Ruined a tankless hot water heater putting it in wrong. Had to seek legal actions to get restitution. RUN!!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
