- The process was very easy and Mark made the transition easy from the initial lot choice to closing.
- He asked us where we wanted coaxial cables, receptacles etc. and walked the property with us several times.
- I was initially impressed with the quality of materials that Mark uses.
- He delivered right on time too.
- One text message and 2 days later, they are all fixed.
- Not well thought out and poorly executed.
- He planted our septic tank in the middle of our back yard instead of the side.
- Several walls aren’t straight, the back yard is washing out.
- He refuses to bury the downspout even though he buried 3 others.
- There’s a soft spot in the tub in less than a year.

We had VanGorder contracting build a home in Lake Caroline for my mother. The process was very easy and Mark made the transition easy from the initial lot choice, home design, to closing. The home was built very well in my opinion, especially the framing portion. He asked us where we wanted coaxial cables, receptacles etc and walked the property with us several times throughout the build process. They even finished the crawl space and didn’t up charge us. His team also checked on my mother several times after she moved in to ensure she was happy with the build. I typically do a lot of home repair/maintenance on several properties but this home has pretty much been maintenance free for us. I will be having him build us a home in the near future as well. Very good experience working with him and his team. Highly recommend.

We shopped around for over a year before we met Mark through a listing he had for one of his new builds. Mark made me comfortable immediately and made me feel confident enough to embark on a new build. I had always been terrified of the idea of building because every time we have met with builders we priced out of the home long before we were able to get even our list of must haves. We had a long list of desires we wanted in our new home but frankly I doubted we could afford to add the majority of the wish list because other builders charged SO much for every change. The costs that Mark quoted were very reasonable, especially with the increase in prices over the last couple of years. We were able to add everything on our wish list and found new things along the way that just made sense. I was never made to feel an inconvenience or a number to Mark. Mr. VanGorder was involved with every step of the build process from day one and it was amazing to be able to reach out to him directly with questions. I believe that VanGorder Contracting / Mark VanGorder are top notch and I would encourage anyone considering a new build to reach out to him. You can get the home of your dreams and Mark can help it happen.

Not well thought out and poorly executed. He planted our septic tank in the middle of our back yard instead of the side instead of where it was on our plan for an unexplained reason. If he couldn’t put it where it was on the plan, he shouldn’t have put it where it was in our plans to begin with. He could have asked if we wanted it somewhere else instead of deciding for himself. Several walls aren’t straight, the back yard is washing out and he refuses to bury the downspout even though he buried 3 others, several tiles are uneven, even after repair, there’s a soft spot in the tub in less than a year and he tried to fix it with spray foam and JB weld and he’s just plain unprofessional. Modelo cans all over the job site during the build. All of this was explained in an email, but he chooses to talk trash about the property instead of correcting the problem. Also you never moved the trailer off of the lot, I did. I have the video to prove it. I had to pay your excavator operator $200 to help us for about 20 min when we got stuck. I guess we will just skip the part in our contract about you being supposed to clean up the left over debris, not just cover it in straw. I have photos of everything I have stated, so call me a liar all you want. Just because you say something, doesn’t make it so, right? Find another builder.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
