Kier was great at getting us a quote for what we wanted quickly and discussed pros and cons of certain materials with us! We haven’t decided on what kind of structure we are doing yet but so far the experience has been efficient and communication is quick and clear.

Working with Kier, Candy and the crew has been outstanding! We completed three levels of flooring, trim and door replacement, as well as, a full bathroom renovation. They did a great job of working with us so that we weren't displaced from our home for too long during the renovation. The entire crew is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and informative; we were highly involved throughout the renovation. I do not write a lot of reviews, but this one is much deserved and long overdue. Thank you, Vander Wal Contracting for your great communication and assistance with replacing my steel roof. I had had a steel roof installed in 2017 by another company and last winter’s snow unfortunately tore off the snow rails and damaged the roof that was supposed to outlive me.
I had contacted the original company (which is no longer owned by the same people) and left repeated messages before I finally spoke with someone at their new “head” company. They were rude, condescending and would not even give me an estimate on the repair or replacement without talking to my insurance company – which they did not need to do.
I had left message for most every roofing company in the area that did metal roofs with no calls back and did one more google search and Vander Wal Contracting came up. I already knew Kier and gave him a call. He stopped at my house the same day, had an estimate for me within 2 days, and then worked with my insurance company as well. What a GREAT experience and my new hopefully never, ever needs to be replaced again copper steel roof looks amazing.

Vander Wal Contracting added immense value to our home by taking our unfinished basement and transforming it into a wonderful living space. Kier is the most professional and honest contractor I have ever worked with, and he is my first contact for any future projects. Kerr and crew were great at getting their estimate in a very timely manner. They were prompt at starting when said, getting material on site, and working to get the project done as soon as practical. Good people to work with.

Once the district learned of all the different areas they could help us with, we added a metal siding replacement project to their list. The Hazen School District was very impressed with their quality of work, the professionalism of the team, and their pricing.
