Great patio door and warranty, very poor communication. I ordered the door during the summer of 2023 with a signed purchase agreement from sales rep. The sales rep then quit without telling another colleague (apparently), existing colleagues failed to assume his orders, and the door was not ordered (as winter approaches with my family of 5). After 10 weeks we became concerned and followed up. My wife and I were told “sorry, this order must’ve slipped through the cracks”. Isn’t there a protocol for turnover? Delivery and install occurred about 5 weeks later, which I was told was a benefit because they expedited it for me. Although I’m grateful for the expedited order, this was not a benefit. This was an additional 5-week wait. Great install, window is great. I was a little irritated that the installers unscrewed my deck anchor for my grill and re-attached it wrong later, but that is a small issue—overall they did great. The bill I was given had a “due by” date, which I planned to pay on time. You would think after I waited 15 weeks that they would have patience to match, but I got a call asking where their money is and I said I hadn’t mailed it yet because the due date on the invoice was still well into the future. I was told that the due date was wrong and they need prompt payment immediately after install— how would a customer know this? Again, poor communication. For a $6,500 patio door, I really expected better service than what I got. I mailed the check 4 days prior to the due date on invoice. I included these same comments. It is possible that I was just “unlucky”, but it seems to me, based on my experience, the company does not have good internal communication. No concessions were made to me, just a simple sorry, an additional 5-week wait, and pressure to pay prior to invoice due date.
