Trinity Solar - Chester, NY

Great experience working with trinity solar. Our rep Barry was awesome. He answered all our questions and was readily available to chat when future questions came up. The whole process was pretty smooth from the consultation to the installation. We really noticed a difference in our electric bill and are very happy with how easy everything was.

Horrible experience with them I should have gone with another provider. Promised no out of pocket for tree removal then was told they would pay the tree company directly. Then they said won't pay tree company till project done and service turned on. Their I was promised reimbursement because I had to pay the tree company. They shorted me on reimbursement. Roofing division shot 2 nails through the ceiling and they refused to pay for repairs, cracked ceiling in the living room and refused to pay for repairs, 2 bulbs from kitchen ceiling broke and they refused to pay for the replacement, cracked window on outside of kitchen and refused to pay for repair. Account payable nor anyone in the company will return calls.
In addition, pieces of plastic strips still flap from under the shingles and Noone has come out to fix it even after telling the sales person, roofing manager and a rep who called me. When I found metal clips laying on the floor a week after installation I called Trinity about them and was told, "Those are wire clips just throw them out." I asked if someone can reinstall them I was again told to throw them out.
As of today, I still have not received full reimbursement for tree removal as promised, have not received referral payment as promised. I feel like the only way to be paid is by having to litigate the charges.
Look for another company

I texted honey Monday I got a reply that day from a man named Christian he set up appointment with me for the next day at 1:00 I was called they were running early they came to my house about 11:00 3 good workers. They saw where I had three leaks remove some tiles. They proceeded to fix the small leaks put new tiles on my roof water tested to make sure there were no leaks put the p a n e l s back on. The person in charge told me if it rains and I find a leak please get back to Christian and they would come back and inspect everything they were very good to work with highly recommend them.

We had Trinity Solar install solar power on our roof about 15 months ago and are delighted to share that the entire experience has been excellent -- Barry, the Consultant / sales representative was thorough, honest, timely, and prepared. He answered all of our questions effectively and made the process seamless. The installation crew was hardworking, courteous, and attentive. There are some hoops to jump through in terms of getting the City (White Plains, in our case) to approve everything and activate the system but Trinity facilitated the process well. The electrical crew upgraded our capacity and also installed a charging base for our EVs, including having to negotiate some tricky logistics in terms of the placement of the unit in our garage. Thanks to Trinity, we are now powering our entire home's (and cars') electricity in a way that saves us money and does good for the environment.

The Trinity Team came and installed our solar today and did an amazing job! Very professional and very efficient! Explained everything and we were amazed how quckly they worked! I cant wait for town inspection so can finally stop paying central hudson a fortune!!

I recently had solar panels installed on my house. The entire process has been a wonderful experience. Solar Joel, the salesman, was an absolute joy. Such a caring, personable person. He was so knowledgeable about the product. He answered, all of my questions to my complete satisfaction. Solar Joel is very patient and understanding. Initially, I did have reservations about having the panels installed. He was there for me during the entire time.
Austin and the rest of the installers were pure professionals. Austin explained exactly what he and the rest of the team would be doing during the installation.
I LOVE the way the panels look. I wasn't sure if I would like the way they look. But, to my surprise, I find them attractive.
Most importantly, I will save money on my electric bills. In my opinion, that's a win-win situation.

So, I was at my second home (Home Depot) And I decided not to walk past the solar representative greeting customers as I had done 100 times before. I scheduled an appointment for an in-home consultation. Solar Joel made the house call. He was professional and detailed….explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand. Covered FAQs Also, reviewed and explained our current usage and utility bill breakdown. We were sold on the idea. Trinity took care of absolutely everything. Installation took one day. The crew did a great job with attention to detail. The work was neat and tidy… So far everyone’s been communicative. Solar Joel who I thought I wouldn’t see again after his sales pitch, turns out, he’s still contacting us just to make sure we’re happy. We really appreciate him.
I’ll wrap up my review with a couple of photos. Lastly, next time you see their display @ HD Take a moment to inform yourself. I’m glad we did.

Had a consultation with energy consultant, Eric Thorne, and had a new found perspective of solar, and our meeting was very insightful. I’m glad I received the consultation and I was referred by another employee, Christian Sinagra, that did an amazing job convincing me to receive a consultation.

We had an excellent experience with Trinity. I thought of installing solar panels for quite a while, but we needed to renew a 32 years old roof. Once done, we got in touch with Barry Zelin - an expert in domain, great representative of this company. He had the patience and knowledge to walk us through all the details and answer all our questions. We agreed with the installment and all steps went very smooth.

Had my roof replaced. They arrived early. We hadn't finished moving the lawn furniture. They moved it and went right to work. Once done, they cleaned up and put the furniture back that they moved. Thank you! My coordinator stayed in touch the entire time. I can't thank Joel enough for coming in here and getting the ball rolling. Professional and affordable. My solar panels go up next week, so I'll be back to update and review that process. Wish they did siding I would use them for that as well

trinity came to my house on a cold call inviting me to a solar system. i explained ive spoken to several solar companies and its been determined i cant get solar due to the shape of my roof. they ensured me i was eligible for panels. i worked with Pete who was extremely helpful and detailed his answers to every question i had. after i signed, i'd found negative news about the financer they worked with and called Pete in a frenzy to cancel. He assured me all was good and referred me to his supervisor, David. David was very patient with me and walked me through every one of my concerns. He even offered to review my bills, one by one, over the past year, to confirm that I was in good hands. It took me some time to trust what he was saying, but now I'm seeing the benefits. i cant thank David enough for his patience through my neuroticism as he calmly and astutely talked me down. I'm still waiting on a bill from my electric company, but being able to monitor my production on the app, along with David's reassurances has left me feeling confident with my decision. I recently installed the solar panels for my house by Trinity Solar, the installation was done in a very short period with no problems and crew did their job very neatly. Solar Joel was very professional, friendly, helpful, courteous and highly skilled, He explained every little detail and all questions were answered, I am very happy to get Solar Joel and Trinity to do my project.

We purchased our panels, and they have been working without any problems for nine months now. Barry is extremely knowledgeable, patient, not pushy, and responsive. He was able to define our system in real time on his first visit, and provide a full breakdown on costs, rebates and payback (all of which were as Barry stated). The Trinity installation team was professional, clean and quick. Our contact (Juliette) coordinated all the activities and made sure to have any of our questions answered quickly. We did get quotes from three other Solar companies, but their consultants (salesmen) were poorly informed, and needed to get designs and prices from their office (one of their designs put panels on the back roof where there is little to no sun). We have recommended Trinity to others and they have also chosen Trinity. The only surprise was the "Customer Benefit Contribution" of $1.5/kW of solar installed per month that Con Ed charges you for the solar generation. Even with that my payback will be faster than what Barry estimated. Thanks Trinity

Buyer beware. I would definitely shop around before going with Trinity solar / Sunnova. Had my system installed for aver 8 months now. Started off great and being busy I didn’t pay attention to the amount I was producing. Turned out the last three months no production. I reached out to the sales rep and he put a service call and they fixed the problem. No explanation what went wrong or how to prevent it from going off again. A week later same thing. I’m guessing it’s my job to check if it’s working and they have no system to automatically notify customer or themselves when it’s not working. You also have to wait weeks for service.

Worked with Joel and I wish I could give him 10 stars. He is able to answer any and all questions kindly and professionally. Joel creatively figures out solutions to any issues. He is an experienced expert in his field and I trust him completely.

Worked with Barry - he was affable and informative, in no way pushy, and most importantly was extremely patient with my many (many) questions! We went back and forth a bit via email and text after our first meeting (just to reiterate, he was so great to work with!) and finally signed in mid- late February. Process was so easy and seamless, not very time consuming.. they have a notary come to your house for final signing, they were so accommodating! We were up and running in less than 3 months! We received our first Con Ed bill post installation and relished in the immediate savings!

We love our solar panels! Joseph Klein was amazing a walked us through the whole process. In one year we saved close to $1000 on our energy bills compared to the year prior and that was after the monthly payments for the panels. If you get good sun on your roof I would highly recommend!

Barry Zelin and the Trinity Solar staff provided timely responses and excellent service. I was a bit cautious about going solar, but my experience has been everything that was promised and more. If you are considering going solar, I would highly recommend contacting Barry Zelin.

This is the worst company I’ve ever had contact with in my life, for starters their “workers” go door to door and will NOT leave until they speak to you. Not only do they come by once a day but TWICE. My neighbors and I have been extremely irritated by them trying to sell stuff day to day. They try to get you by saying “no cost” but we all know that is a lie.

When they tell you the rebates are $17,000 they are not. Nyserta only gives you back what you put in for that year up too $5,000. We had too many issues to mention including putting solar panels on our roof before structural reinforcement. Joel is a used car salesman at best, with all of the issues we had with installation he promised us a $1,000 from referral. We have not received any of that money. Do your research.

Barry and the Trinity crew are amazing. I love my solar and the company. They are so personable and helped me when I had questions. I would recommend Barry to any of my family and friends.

Joe Klein was an amazing consultant. His insight and expertise on solar energy and the process as a whole was what steered me towards making the decision to go with it. He answered all my questions and literally made me understand everything about the system and how it works. Then the guys came to set it up. I was sure I made the right decision as they were just as professional. My roof is better now and im making $ off of it. Amazing work!

Brent Baker is very passionate and knowledgeable about renewable energy. We were building our house and Brent was able to design our system based on our appliance and HVAC specs. Brent is also very personable and made the process fun. Since then, we bought an electric car, so we will probably add a few more panels to cover the difference!

My wife and I talked about having Solar installed for several years, but always got cold feet dealing with overly aggressive solar sales people and deals that were not as adversitied. Once we started working with Brent Baker and Trinity, installing with them became a no brainer. The process was easy begininng to end, the system is working great, and we love being able to power our house and charge our PHEVs cars with the sun!

My experience with Trinity Solar was quite good. Frank the salesman was helpful, informative and not aggressive in his attempt to get me to consider purchasing a solar package. I was informed throughout the process right until the system was activated. Once online, Frank and another service rep reached out to me to inquire if there weee any concerns. I can say that I am very satisfied with the whole process.

David Drumheller is truly exceptional! It's rare to find such transparent and honest salespeople these days. He went above and beyond to ensure I got the best solar solution for my home. We had an awesome experience throughout the entire process. Brent Baker explained everything in detail and was open to all the questions we had about our system.

We needed our roof redone before installing the panels and had it financed all in the same package. The roof was done without anything to complain about.

Over-all after a year and a half of the installation, we're very satisfied with our system and trinity solar.

I am still awaiting the reinstallation of my solar panels that were removed on 1/23/23 to facilitate replacement of my roof which was completed the second week of February 2023. To date after numerous phone calls to Trinity Solar and numerous visits to my city’s building department, I feel like I’m getting the run around. I’m a retired senior citizen with limited income and Trinity keeps pointing to the city department, and the Mt. Vernon city buildings department, MVC Buildings department says Trinity has failed to fill out and submit the necessary paperwork. In the meantime I have yet to receive any documentation from Trinity as to the cause of the holdup, and I still have to be paying for the Solar equipment. Can somebody help me, please.

This is the worst company, do yourself a favor and do not use this company. they never call you back, and when they do they say they will take care of the problem and never do. They are horrible. They make you do all the work and when you do they say they never got it please stay far away from them. Good luck if you do use them.

Frank the salesman was great, they installed the panels quickly and did a good job. I don't have any complaints about anyone working for trinity as they are always nice. the Bad- Had Trinity Solar install panels December 2021,- June 2023 they stop producing power, since I don't review production, I did not notice until I received an electric Bill for $300+. come to fine out they hadn't made power for 2-1/2 months. i was paying the sunnova Bill plus the electric bill at the same time. costing me over $500 a month in total. i called Trinity, could not get someone to answer phone so i left a message. case opened on 6/19/23, they sent someone to fix the problem 8/17/23 but it still doesn't appear to be producing. however, i am still forced to pay the monthly bill

update= they came out and fixed the inverter. system seems to be functioning correctly at this time. they needed to change the serial number in the system in order for the inverter to show that it was producing power.

Daniel B., the sales rep was amazing. Explained everything to the final details. Kept in contact throughout the entire process upto install day. No money down at all! Plus Trinity removed a tree at no cost to me, to better optimize the function of the solar panels. Great experience! Waiting for final inspection. Can’t wait to start saving!

Let’s start with Anastasia who was nothing less than amazing! She was so detailed and thorough! Answered every question throughout the entire process! The process was QUICK! I was not expecting it to be this quick. Can’t wait to start saving!!!

First, I am not one to write a review, positive or negative, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Trinity solar of Chester N.Y.
After calling, I met with Frank (sales rep). Frank was very knowledgeable and explained the system in real world terms. He got back to me quickly with any questions I had and stayed on top of the entire process.
Next was the install. The crew was professional, personable, and respectful. They had no problem working around special requests we had. They cleaned up, inside and out, and the job looks great.
In closing, if you want quality work with old fashioned service, this is the only call to make.

John Pelletier was very professional, super friendly and very knowledgeable when he came to our home to teach us about solar panels for our house. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends and family looking for solar panels for their house. He is a true gentleman, family man and extremely organized. Thank you John!

Other than the company response on here and the threatening text Scammer Joel sent me I still haven't heard from Trinity... lets not get this twisted. A miscommunication and blatant lying are 2 entirely different things.... so Trinity, please do me a favor and finally stop deceiving me and others with words....

I highly recommend getting solar as u do save money, BUT definitely avoid Trinity... Joel is a scammer and only cares about his commission and the company will not address his wrong doings....HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!

Our Trinity Solar experience was awesome. We had two other quotes before choosing Trinity, for some reason we didn’t feel comfortable with the other vendors. Barry Z has been excellent from day one, answering our questions/concerns still to today (3 months post install). He gave us all we needed to make an informed decision. The project management and installation teams were also amazing. Our bill is ~$20…Con Ed’s electric service charge…We can’t wait to see what spring and summer brings in savings.

We had our system installed over a year ago and with the tax credits we are saving money from day ONE! And with each year, we save an INCREASING amount of money. The system self monitors 24/7, if any panel has any issue- Trinity is notified in real time, automatically. Warranty covers EVERYTHING, even neighbors errant golfballs, for 25 YEARS. It was easy!!!

My solar panels have far exceeded my expectations!! The panels not only look good but in the heat of the summer I had a whopping $1.75 electric bill. I can’t wait to see what my bills are in the winter when my electric usage is at its lowest. Both Brent and Joel were a pleasure to deal with and we’re quite upfront with everything, explaining all my questions in detail. The only thing I can’t figure out is why everyone doesn’t get solar panels, it’s a win-win situation. I highly recommend Trinity! All companies should be this honest and transparent. Oh, the installers were also fantastic, neat and efficient.

I ways "misinformed" or lied to the whole process. I am still waiting for picture proof, that I was told I would get, of the agreement and an explanation how the solar was changed from a lease to a purchase. They send me a paper with a name on top. Any 5th grader could create that. There are plenty of solar companies out there. This one should definitely be avoided.

I originally wanted just pricing info on installing solar
I received a email from Trinity solar i believe no intention of buying sorta window shopping.
I had a conversation with Michael Balkind over the phone an found out installation was free also i would receive a cash incentive as well
Michael Balkind ran a quick credit check and i wad told i qualified. I was still a little hesitant sounded to good to be true. I might need a roof job etc.
After filling out application for panels Trinity sent out a guy to inspect my roof. I was good to go i was told
My orange and rockland bill was between 165 and 240
My house is all electric with oil heating.
Pool in the summer central air etc.
As per my contract with sunova my electric bill
Has decreased dramaticallycally.
My lease is for $125. a month plus 19.95 to orange and Rockland. Excellant installation crews very professional people. Couldn't say enough about the services and the people.

He is knowledgeable, reliable, and patient; really a pleasure to work with. Trinity Solar's performance, from the initial presentation of solar panels, to assisting with financing, to installation and follow through, was professional and efficient in every regard. It's been about 2 years.. Everything has worked out great..Our Solar production has actually exceeded our monthly use tremendously. Thanks to Solar Joel for the advice on going solar the correct way. Just transitioned our home into AC/Heat pumps and have not used Natural gas at all. Plan to be saving tons of $ this winter.

Wonder Gonzales was a wonderful direct rep!! Always helpful and we are never left with any questions as he always answers in a way that we can always understand. He has become more of a friend than a rep and he is always ready to help out.
