Total Truck does outstanding work. The staff is very helpful in finding aftermarket parts to fit your vehicle, and they stock quality equipment.

Initially there was an issue with my order, but upon discussions with Steve (and his discussions with other managers), they decided to do the right thing and provide what I understood that I had paid for (both regular headlights and high beams).

Then I there was a mechanical failure with one of the high beams, and they quickly made another appointment and made it right.

On two occasions, my experience could have been negative- but in both situations Total Truck did the right thing. Thanks Steve (and the other managers at Total Truck)!!

I purchased a new Alu-Cab for a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. The install was done correctly for the most part but Customer appreciation and support is poor to non existent. I have called countless times to inquire about an upgraded suspension but no one answers the phone. I will never purchase anything else there or recommend Total Truck to a friend.

Super disappointed. Got a new 24 chevy silverado and ordered weather tech mats and running boards. About a week later after doing some research I also asked them to order a bed cover. Once I was informed parts arrived had to wait six weeks to be scheduled for install. Installed mats on my own cause I didn’t want to wait that long. But no problem easy enough.
Dropped off truck for appointment for my running boards and bed cover. Upon pick up I find out that the bed cover was never even ordered. Female staff said there was some sort of confusion. But I literally went there in person, got shown a demo in the back, brought back up to the counter and paid 600+. So I’m not sure where the confusion was. It was probably staff who was confused about who was actually going to place the order. She even admits to remembering me show up there and showing me the demo herself.
Super upset cause it’s dip netting time. Had other truck appointments and family arriving. To rectify the situation they order the cover ground shipping and it arrived in 5 business days. It was installed the following day after arrival.
Brought the truck home and was sweeping out the bed cause the tech left his mess in there from placing water drain holes and noticed I was missing the foam pieces to protect the back window when the bed cover is open all the way leaning against it. Had to drive back to the shop, the tech who installed it doesn’t even know which pieces I was referring to. His response was, there wasn’t anything else in the box. Front staff agreed with me about the pieces and so did another tech. The other tech had to step in and find em. So he places the pieces and then spends 30+ minutes adjusting the clamps and this cover was literally just installed and truck was picked up less than an hour ago. That was on July 24 last month when the cover was installed now NOT EVEN 3 weeks later I notice the weather strip seal is coming off. What a waste of my time. I don’t even understand cause they were super simple parts to install and I would think these techs have installed these items before, how could he not know what I was referring to. Now I have to remove the bed cover, order a new seal, and place the new seal. At this point why did I pay 140$ for labor to even have it installed. Such a waste of both my time and money.

I discovered Total Truck in 2022 after another shop changed ownership/name/employees/capabilities. The best employee from that other place migrated to Total Truck. I have been nothing but pleased with them. I have used them for all of the work on my 2019 Toyota Tundra overland truck since late 2022.

The staff: Craig, the owner, is a true wealth of knowledge when it comes to Toyotas, overlanding in general, and overlanding in Alaska. He is a transplant to the US/Alaska and has traveled the world by 4X4. He and his Wofe are friendly and they also run the "Overland Alaska" rental service.
Josh in the shop is very capable at modifications, including custom fabrication work and power systems.

The experience: When I visit, I have to drive for about 7 hours to get there and usually nap in the Rooftop Tents they have displayed on the showroom floor. I will be bringing my truck back as many times as needed to complete modifications I want and will not hesitate to bring my other vehicles there in the future. I have been there at least 4 times. They do excellent work with the highest quality of components, which I recommend anyway for the best results. I also recommend Toyotas for the best results, but that is personal bias.

The work: So far, Josh has installed Decked tool boxes, a Smartcap Canopy, roof rack, Old Man Emu lift, Method Racing Wheels and General Tires 35 inch X3's, performed a Cab Mount Chop that looks factory, installed a custom grill and Baja Designs lights, an Expedition One bumper, and Warn winch on my truck. Still have a bit more to go, but she's getting there. If you have the means, I highly recommend checking them out! Absolutely the best place in Alaska for your off-road needs. They also have deals on shipping from the States. 5 out of 5 stars.

Met Craig (owner) on the chair at Alyeska. I'm a homeless electrical engineer living and working full-time during an AK winter in my Tacoma + Go Fast Camper. These guys know electrical, and that's saying something coming from an EE. They cleaned up the high current electrical wiring in my Tacoma that I had run from the alternator to the bed of the truck with a much more professional setup using larger wire. Didn't have to explain much beyond the basics, the job was done exactly as expected and in just a few hours while I waited in their comfy sales area. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail will have me coming back again and again for jobs that I can't easily do myself on the road.

Highly recommend. Craig was awesome and very friendly. Will be back for more accessories for the offroad rigs. Support your local businesses.

This is the best truck outfitter in Anchorage. Military discount. Outstanding customer service. Professional service for your exact needs. The Nacho lights are so freaking bright and are a must have in the winter. I had rigid industry lights on my last vehicle and these lights blow the doors off RI. Worth every penny. Professional stall and warranty to boot. Don't go online and don't go anywhere else in town. Total truck is where you need to go.

Total truck continues to be more than just an offroad store/vendor. They provide advice and guidance on products and trail knowledge to make sure you are prepared for your travels and know what gear you NEED so you’re able to decide on what you want.

They tampered with my truck!

I drove down from Fairbanks to get and AluCab topper. Before I left I texted them to confirm that the topper I wanted, the one with sliding windows, was indeed there and in stock. They confirmed this in the text.

I was told to be there at 8 am so they could get my truck in right away. I dropped it off at 8am and came back at noon and the truck hadn’t even been moved from the parking spot. They finally pulled it in and it too nearlt FOUR HOURS for them to put the topper on. I could have done it myself faster.

Finally got it done and wired the brake lights - but they put the WRONG topper on it. Turns out they didn't even have it in stock! I drove 400 miles to get the topper that they assured me was in stock and it wasn't even in the building! Let me tell you, it turned into a heated discussion.

And then as I drove off I now notice a new noise coming from my engine compartment. I dropped it off, and everything was fine. But now it has a new noise like something is rubbing against medal. AND the driver side parking light is no longer working. Wire is either disconnected or cut.

Do I think this happened intentionally? You bet, 100%! I think they tampered with my truck. Either that or they are totally incompentant. Likely BOTH!

I wouldn’t trust these guys to change a tire. They were incompetant enought to sell me a topper they didn't even have in stock and corrupt enought to tamper with my truck.

Total Truck = Total Fail.

Craig and his team at Total Truck went the extra mile to get my Truckboss Sled Deck installed correctly. They ate the cost of some unanticipated electrical work to ensure they had a fully satisfied customer. The end product looks fantastic. They know customer service and are a class act! I will definitely be using their services again.

Stopped by the shop to install some upgrades to my FJ during my pit stop in Anchorage. Crew is super friendly and did a fantastic job installing OME UCAs, heavy load rear coil springs, and an iKamper tent. Would definitely stop by again. Highly recommend.

Having recently moved from a much larger city, I was really nervous about finding a shop to handle custom applications on my truck. Craig and his crew went above and beyond on a repair I needed done and were able to fit me in last minute. They also diagnosed another issue I had on my front suspension. I will always recommend Total Truck and have multiple times in the past couple of weeks.

First off I think the most important thing is to remember that we live in Alaska, shipping can take awhile and it's out of any company's hands.

With that being said I thoroughly enjoyed purchasing through Total Truck! Knowledgeable staff, great selection, amazing customer service! My purchasing process started with figuring out what I wanted to do exactly, then narrowing down to what is available to me. We came up with a few different quotes so I had a selection to choose from. Some were higher end, others were lower. All of this just to make sure that when I got what I wanted that I was happy. If I had a question about anything, they responded either immediately or within a couple of hours. When it came time to setup they were able to squeeze me in due to a camping trip coming up. All of my needs were met, was treated like a regular customer from the get go, and I will be returning for advice and to purchase more from them.

I feel that a review is proper only when you include something negative, otherwise it's sounds like every other "I loved them" review.

That being said, the one downside, and this is out of their control, is that they are very busy. I'm not the only one that thinks they are awesome. I would advise pulling the trigger on getting whatever you want done sooner rather than later. Parts need time to get in? Yes. Where the problem lies is in how far out they are booked. They have only so many hands. As long as you plan ahead, you will be fine.

ridiculous staff! Especially Josh! He really have to give me attitude and hang up on me for asking him to track on an order that I have been waiting for four weeks. I have to call again and then find out that the lift kit I ordered had already been canceled the day it was order due to discontinued. This little Josh needs more training on how to do his job! so outrageous!

I think I spent nearly two hours at this place coming up with new ideas and figuring out what I could really use. The people in the store could not have been more kind, courteous and professional. I was told and shown some great tips on my RTT and my truck storage.

I walked away very happy and pleased and felt as though I made friends by the time I left. Total Truck Accessories is worth the 1.5 hour (almost) drive for me to go back for any of my vehicle needs.

Great shop with good people. There always seems to be a hitch in my plans (missing, wrong parts, etc etc (mistakes not on their end)) but they go out of their way to work through it and get the job done.

Have great knowledge and experience when it comes to modifying your vehicle. Won't try and upsell you on something you don't need. Communication great through getting the parts installed. Would highly recommend and will go back in the future! They installed a full suspension upgrade, snorkel, full steel bumper, and winch.

Had an appointment @ 8 am coming from Valdez and they didn't get our truck in until 10 am. Then come to find out our fiberglass Topper had some scratches on it. You would think that with them knowing we were coming in from out of town they would have been ready for us. Well they weren't. Now we have to make another special trip to Anchorage to get the scratches fixed. Not impressed.

Great staff. Friendly and helpful to a non-truck accessory person. Purchased Christmas gifts for my husband’s truck. Highly recommend them and they’re local!!!

I cannot say enough great things about this shop! Very knowledgeable, great customer service, flexible service and they give you their undivided attention. They help with setting up a plan for the build that the customer WANTS! Total Truck has a vast array of options for every budget. I had recently been involved in a hit and run and Total Truck worked closely with the collision center where I had the body work done. The technicians are also extremely knowledgeable and know exactly what they are doing. They are not shy about telling you if what you need or want is beyond their capabilities and will gladly recommend another shop. Total Truck is also very active in their community, helping the local off-road groups and any tourists that may need their services, as well as pointing them in the right direction to experience Alaska to the fullest. I recommend this shop !

I am a 60 year old baby boomer in my day it was all about customer service to get business call people back those days are long gone until I called Total Truck their service was outstanding I ordered parts for my truck they actually called me back the day they got in Anchorage and got them on the plane to get them to me down in the Kenai peninsula you don’t find that kind of service nowadays I highly recommend Total Truck

My first experience with Total Truck Alaska was amazing! They were welcoming and helpful right when I walked in the door. They had exactly what I needed for my truck and began installing it within minutes of my visit. I wasn’t expecting such quick and quality service! Business has great communication utilizing both text and phone call. Drop off was super quick and easy. They called within just a few hours to let me know my truck was ready. The staff at total truck was amazing to work with. We ordered three tonneau covers for our fleet rigs . They told us 2 weeks to get them and it was exactly what they said it would be. They installed all 3 for us in one day. Definitely recommend them and we will use them again 100% satisfaction
