We are completely satisfied with our 2-level covered deck.

We only had a few ideas for Fred to work with but he came up with a great design. And we felt well-represented as the project progressed, dealing with the contract, execution details, inspections, all of it.

Kim was really fast and efficient at all of the many details associated with being our primary point of contact with Timberline. We particularly appreciate her handling of surprises and adversity with apparent ease, her experience is obvious.

Erandy is an outstanding carpenter and manager, the final product looks excellent in every way. All his co-workers and contractors were hard-working, diligent, and pleasant with us. He communicated well with us when issues came up and had fixes for every problem.

We hired Timberline for the second time to help with a drywall repair this time. The cost was reasonable and the job was completed in three days. We were very pleased with the final result, and will hire the company again for any renovations around the house.

This is an exceptionally reliable, thorough and responsive company. The office manager Kim is efficient, kind and really smart. We have had terrible experiences with other contractors and Timberline straightened out their mess and more. We should have gone with them in the first place. You get what you pay for.

Timberline recently did a kitchen and fireplace wall remodel for us and we love the new space they created for us. The team and all their subcontractors were great to work with and partnered with us to execute our vision. The estimate was accurate and they completed all the punch list items to ensure we were happy with the finished project.

We just finished putting in an electric fireplace. Timberline was fantastic from start to finish. Kim managed every aspect of the installation and was great in scheduling the entire progress. We purchased a new Net Zero fireplace from Embers, it looks very realistic and adds a lot of ambiance to the living area. The team is very professional and does a great job on the installation. I would highly recommend Timberline.
Another project with Timberline! We just finished having a chandelier installed in our dining area. It required taking down the fixtures in the ceiling, patching the holes, mud., matching the paint in the ceiling.

We couldn’t be happier with the work that Timberline Builders did in May 2024. The workmanship of the deck they built is beautiful! Not only is the deck of the highest quality, sturdy and in code, but it is absolutely beautiful, and makes the entire yard a perfect outdoor space. We have used Timberline Builders a couple times in the past several years, and were very pleased each time.

Timberline Builders renovated our old fireplace -- the company was easy to work with, very communicative, Kim, the manager was always responsive and had answers to all of our questions. The company coordinated all the stages -- including gas hookup, the electrician and the painting -- we did not have to engage in these at all. They were professional and completed the project within the projected timeline. Highly recommend if you're considering upgrading your fireplace!

Everything went well on my project. Workers were skilled, courteous, and answered my questions so I was clear on each step. My house was kept pretty dust-free, and the guys cleaned up every day. Very professional from start to finish. The end result is all I hoped for.

We have used Timberline on and off for 16 years. The subs they have hired have been very good. The office is responsive to new items that come up and nothing has been left undone. We have hired them to remodel our bathrooms, kitchen and floors - wood and tile. Overall, we are happy with Timberline and will continue to hire them for our remodel projects.

Timberline has been great to work with. I first contacted with them in 2013 to remodel my house which came out fantastic. Knowing the quality of their work I contacted them again this year to make my house my dream home which again came out great.

We've used Timberline for a basement remodel with a fireplace update, an upstairs dual-sided fireplace remodel, and a whole kitchen and bar remodel, and really appreciate their professionalism, quality of work, and how great they are with our very anxious dog!

Kim Wiggins manages the office and is great at keeping the business running smoothly and efficiently. We used Timberline builders to renovate a condo in Boulder. The team was a delight to work with from day one. The quote on the job (which involved lighting, electrical, structural and flooring, as well as a custom designed railing) was competitive. They were able to get going on the job reasonably quickly and completed the work on schedule. All of the work was of high quality and craftsmanship. The subs they brought on were also first rate. The railing in particular is a work of art. We were very please overall and will definitely use them again for future work.

Over the last five years my wife and I have contracted with Timberline Builders to completely remodel our kitchen, our laundry room/pantry, all three bathrooms, they finished a portion of our basement and added a covered porch. We have gotten to know most, if not all of their employees over the years and through all of these projects. If we cannot have Timberline Builders do our work, then we will not have the work done.

We highly recommend Steve Preitauer and Timberline Builders for anything you want or need done for your home, office or small business.

We have used Timberline for a variety of projects ranging from $20,000 to $170,000 -- a master bath remodel; a full basement finish/remodel; a full exterior remodel of a 1967 era duplex; and a complete interior remodel of a 1650 sq ft home. They've been easy to work with, friendly, honest, and have done quality work. Large construction jobs involving many sub contractors are challenging projects, especially when business is booming and subs are often overbooked. But I found that Steve and his team kept in good contact, herded the subs and kept them on track, on budget, and on schedule as best they could. When the occasional problem came up, they've gone the extra mile to make it right. They do good quality work at a fair price, and I will use them again.

My wife and I have used Steve Preitauer and Timberline Builders for 25+ years for all of our home remodeling and improvement projects. We have never had a bad experience with Timberline and have recommended them to any of our friends who have needed a builder. Steve's crew, especially Kim in the office, are always responsive, listen to our requests and then execute. There has never been a problem with billing or with what Timberline has charged us compared to the quotation we received. The quality, and we are picky when it comes to our building projects, has always met our expectations. We would recommend Timberline without hesitation.

Timberline Builders has done all the remodeling work on our residential properties since the 1990's. Steve and his crew are hardworking, honest, easy to work with, and skilled. We have consistently been please with the work Timberline has done for us and have had no issues resolving any questions or concerns that have come up along the way. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any family member or friend that was in need of quality, well-priced remodeling.

Timberline built a custom fireplace in our home and did an excellent job. They were swamped during the holiday season but still managed to get ours done in time as well as go the extra mile with some finishing touches and clean up. I really appreciated everyone we worked with especially Steve who oversaw the project and Josh who did much of the custom carpentry. And our tile guys were great! Thank you Timberline. :)

Really disappointing. We worked with Timberline in the past, years ago, and it was great. But for this project ... a total loss, and it appears based on their carpenters and subs this low bar is now par for Timberline's course.

Countless expensive (thousands of dollars) damages incurred by Timberline's staff, plans not followed, double- and triple-billing, no oversight (totally absent project manager), and evidently subs not paid .... (One has now come after us after office manager lied to sub and said we refuse to pay. This is what spurred me to leave honest review.)

I would never again hire them, and I would actively discourage anyone from contracting Timberline.

Very dissatisfying experience. So many things went wrong with our fireplace remodel. Poor craftsmanship, not paying attention to detail, not reading the fireplace manual, poor communication, no shows. The remodel took almost 4 month instead of the initially planned 4 weeks. I wasted so much of my time waiting for sub contractors and no shows, supervising the sub contractors, pointing out mistakes, fixing their mistakes. They have a few good guys (Travis, Troy), but most of the sub contractors either don't care or don't know any better. The only reason why I give 2 stars instead of 1 is because they came back over and over again and fixed the things they didn't do right along the way.

Excellent work and communication on jobs. I've used Steve and his crew for a full basement finish, 2 fireplaces and more. Plus I've referred Timberline to several clients and friends - all had nothing but good things to say. I've hired many contractors over the years doing fix and flips. And there are many reasons why Timberline shines. Steve is excellent at solving problems that inevitably arise with construction and remodeling. His experience is obvious and he is well connected. He tackles every project in a calm, cool and collected way. Remodels are stressful, you need your GC to be your rock. The other reason why Timberline outshines other contractors is their scheduler: Kim. She is awesome to work with! She can be tough (on sub contractors) as needed and is an expert at the construction process making the workflow of the job efficient. You never left wondering what's next. She handles it all!
