Absolutely stellar work! This is a man devoted to excellence and attention to detail. He cleaned our glass inside and out as well as all the screens! Very reasonable price and a wonderful feeling of the job done right. We are so happy to have the feeling that only comes from the view through a pristine clean window. Ian is amazing! I would definitely be a returning customer. Ian found several of my window frames that needed to be repaired while he was cleaning them. He gave me a fair price to build me new frames, the very next day he had them all new and ready to be installed. He also cleaned my Solar Panels. He did an awesome job! Well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Ian is a great guy, he was courteous and professional. He knew what he was doing and did an amazing job as I didn’t have a clue as to how much work is involved with maintaining solar roof panels. He cleaned 286 huge panels by hand! It was impressive. He was the first guy to return my calls and fully exceeded my expectations. I highly and fully recommend this business.

Ian did a great job of cleaning my solar panels in Hawaiian Shores ! They were really bad and Ian got them looking like new . Before he started cleaning them on a sunny day they were only producing 1.2KW and after it was 3.0KW !! I just checked right now and they are producing 3.3KW !!

Ian did a great job on our second story windows and screens! It was a big job that he finished in a day, as promised, they built and replaced all the upstairs screens: over 28 and everything just looks fantastic. He will be coming back on a regular basis.

We were in search of a good window cleaning service and our previous cleaner was good but we could not depend on his follow up. I have been in the insurance business for 35 years and realize how "word of mouth" and "client referrals" make or break a business. He has figure it out and Besides being engaging and personable, Ian's work, follow up, and overall performance are not 5 stars but 10 Stars! We live on the ocean and have views that are pretty dang nice and the quality work that he has done have improved and made our view top shelf. He also is down in the details, screen cleaning, potential repairs that are identified in the process saves us money and future damage. The screens on our 1988 home were old, bent, and in dire need of replacement. I couldn't even open all the windows without geckos and bugs coming in the house. Ian to the rescue! He and his teammate custom-built and replaced all 44 screens in our home. They are perfect! They make the windows look new, and I can open all my windows again!
Ian also cleaned the exterior of our 2nd-story windows, including the interior/exterior of 5 impossible-to-reach loft windows. He was meticulous and conscientious. He made sure every corner and detail was spotless.

I didn't know Ian before this job, but he felt like family and was comfortable to be around. I didn't have to hide out, and he was friendly to my little dogs which I really appreciated not having to coop them up in a room.
We will definitely hire Ian again when we need our windows cleaned in the future. Highly recommended!

Ian first came to clean my solar panels and I immediately lowered my electric bill. He next came to clean all of my windows and screens inside and out, and repaired some of my screens. Very nice guy, very dependable and on time. Highly recommend! He will not disappoint! A guy you can really trust! And that means a lot to me!

Ian is timely, professional, responsible, and most importantly, very thorough with his work. He has worked on several properties that I manage over the years and each time, the work he did went above and beyond the scope of what was expected. He also has many years of construction experience giving him a keen eye for house related issues we were not aware of and appreciated him alerting us. He is quick to respond with a quote and his costs are very reasonable. He works like an athlete putting in over 10h days to get the job done! Workers like him are hard to find.

Ian washed all of our windows and screens and repaired two of our screens. He did an excellent job! He is efficient, timely and completely pleasant.
He came and checked out our house, the windows, etc. Gave a price right then and there and I was excited to get on his calendar. It motivated me to wash the belly band and outside of our house prior to him coming, and now I am thoroughly cleaning each room on the inside.
The windows are soooooo clean. I am enjoying just looking through them!

Not sure what the neg reviews are about. Seems like the only reviews they do is negative so there's that. I found Ian to be professional at every level. I even had some weeds growing in my gutter on a 3 story roof that I was too afraid to climb onto, he volunteered to pull them out for me. Ian is a great guy. Some people hate, just to hate.

The Window Guy is the window cleaner EVERYONE NEEDS!!!

We hired him to clean every window on our vacation rental, and we WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED one bit! He actually showed up on time (Which is very rare on the Big Island), was an incredibly HARD worker (My windows were filthy), POLITE & PAYS ATTENTION to every fine detail (My screens were cleaner than when I first bought them). I didn't even know my windows were there when he was done with them. He cleaned them so well, they seemed to disappear!

Another GREAT thing to note about the Window Guy is I didn't have to be there to micromanage his work; he just just showed up & went straight to work. When I went to see the place after he left, I was pleasantly AMAZED! I now recommend the Window Guy to everyone I know!

My husband and I feel extremely fortunate to have found Ian to clean our windows. We use his service 4 times a year and look forward to his visits. Ian is friendly, professional, and a pleasure to be around. His work is first class and he is an excellent communicator. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

Ian fit us in at the last minute for a large window cleaning job and he was fantastic. He showed up on time, communicated well, worked almost a 12 hour day and left our windows sparkling clean. Our house looks 100% better. We will definitely be using Ian regularly.

If you are thinking about hiring this guy for your window cleaning and/or screen repairs, just know that although his work is good, his communication and customer service skills are sorely lacking.
I specifically told Ian where I wanted him to start and what I wanted him to do, but for some reason, on several different occasions, Ian seems to either disregard what I would tell him or he really doesn't know how to follow directions. He can be exceptional at his craft, but at the end of the day, expect to be highly frustrated with the fact that Ian will do what he wants to do around your property (because he basically was trying to tell me how he was going to operate on mine despite me telling him where I wanted him to start) and instead of communicating effectively, expect for him to talk AT you. Also expect for him to have his own agenda of what he wants to do, even though you can tell him in person multiple times what you want him to do.
So in short, he can do good work, but his inability to follow instructions and respect someone else's home and really LISTEN to what his customers want will supersede his talent. Again, Ian is very frustrating and his communication skills are horrible.
My husband and I ultimately decided that we don't want him to work on the other side of our house. Unfortunate since he does good work, but again...if he can't listen to basic instructions, we can't work with someone like that.

Horrible Communication. Does not appear to have the ability to follow instructions effectively.

Ian was from the very first minute we met him very argumentative and confrontational about very simple requests and directions of what we wanted as home owners.

On numerous occasions we told him specific details on what to do and what not to do and despite that what we found ourselves having to repeat ourselves multiple times and still he got it wrong.

Be very wary of this guy's attention to detail.

If you do hire him do expect to have to repeat yourself constantly and even after the umpteenth time you will find that he will still get it wrong.

NOTE #1 - upon Ian reading my wife and my reviews he has decided to send us an email essentially proving that he is not willing to work on anything we have outlined here in our critique of him.

NOTE #2 - This guy just won't give up. He sent me a second email basically saying that we (the customers) should be thanking him for the work he did. Even though he was paid in full.

This guy has a serious ego-complex.

My windows have never looked better! Same goes for my screens, sills, thresholds, tracks, and jalousies. Ian shows up on time with skills and a smile and everything he needs to get the job done right- shining bright! Whoever cleans your windows will be in every room of the house- and here's a guy you can trust to be there. I left him at the house with instructions to lock up when he was done and everything went perfect. I couldn't recommend The Window Guy more. No streaks, squeaks, scratches, or smears- Done right the first time fresh, clean, and clear.
