Good local place to get your Hardware, tools, and materials. Saves time from having to drive all the way to Home Depot in Hilo if you live around Keaau, Kurtistown, or Hawaiian Acres

It's a bit pricier because it's in Keaau, but they usually have what I need. Staff is pretty knowledgeable, and if they don't know they find someone who does.

I went there today looking for a gasket for a ground safe tube. The young lady quickly assessed the unusual request and led me to flat gaskets for kitchen sinks. The fit was perfect! Thanks to a young lady with ability to assess a situation and come up with a creative solution!!

Yeah, our ACE has helped me so much, people are ready to help you. I get all my paint from there because they have Benjamin Moore. It’s easy to find things with the help of the employees. Much less stressful than other big hardware places.

Employees are always friendly and knowledgeable, Greeted me when I walked in and pointed me to the sections I needed to find right away . I bought some wrong fittings for a plumbing issue and the return went smooth and easy. If you are staying on this side and need hardware stuff this Ace location is a convenient option.

Check availability before going to the store. I'm glad I did yesterday, as the website & app showed the item as in stock & it wasn't. Today, same thing, but I only stopped in because it was near my destination point. However, the backdoor receiver was there. I asked her about availability & she went to the front office, pulled the delivery order for tomorrow's truck. She then took my name and number to call me in the morning! They get a 5⭐️ for good customer service only!!!

Nice, well stocked ace hardware. Not very many associates at this location so you may need to ask four assistance at the front of you need it.

Interesting assortment of knickknacks and sundry items. Just to give you an idea of what that means, this place has truff sauce next to the bbq supplies. By the saints, there is idiosyncratic stuff like you wouldn't expect like that all over the store of you pay attention.

If you are new to town, I recommend checking out the selection of local trees and plants in front of the store. Sometimes the have good stuff like ulu trees and fun veggies at reasonable prices.

Great service at this location! Nani and Donny went the extra mile for me and were able to match my paint perfectly and with Aloha. This is now my Ace store even though it’s a farther drive..

Just had the worst knife sharpening experience ever - epic fail. They have a robot that basically sharpens the knives for them instead of the proverbial old guy who's been there 20+ yrs.

I was not impressed. The knives are not only not razor sharp, the edges were profiled wrong and my Tanto blades were both rounded at the transition! Not happy!! Attendant didn't care that he jacked up my S&W Kabar and nice D2 and G10 folder nor did the shift lead who checked me out. Charged me $7/blade that wasn't sharpened properly. Never again.

They have things you can not find at any other ace. If you need something and another store don't have it you can count on this one to have it.

Like most residents of Puna, we rely on rain catchment to supply our water. I highly recommend this store for all your pump and PVC piping needs. The cheapest 12V pump at the "Big Box" store was well over $500. However, pumps at ACE are much cheaper, with prices starting at $149. Also, the expert advice that is readily available from awesome store associates is priceless. We always appreciate all the help they give us with each plumbing project.
