The Carpenters Touch Roofing & Siding

We were interested in giving our 70 year old home some updated curb appeal when we decided this will be our 'forever home'. I contacted three contractors who specialized in James Hardie siding installations after researching about that premium product, including a local contractor who I had used before. We had a design and color scheme in mind and met with our salesman, Luke, who gave use more possibilities we had not considered or been aware of. When we received the estimate, it was considerably lower than any other written estimate we received for the same scope of work. Additionally, I just felt very comfortable with the people from Carpenters Touch as they explained we could easily add more options as the job progressed. The end result is that we have a brand new exterior that is weatherproof, insulated and cozy throughout the entire living space. I have received many compliments on the attention to detail and extra effort that you do not normally see in an exterior renovation project. The workers were always prompt, courteous and cleaned up at end of each workday, and gave their best effort consistently. I would highly recommend this firm, they went above and beyond our expectations.

Junior Garcia and his team of skilled craftsmen did an incredible transformation on our home this past fall. We started with Junior’s design expert, Diane who came to our home and went over several design options with us, previously my wife and I have never done a complete exterior renovation so this was all new to us but Diane walked us through all the different materials, colors and design options and helped us design the home of our dreams!
New GAF roof, all new Andersen 400 black windows, complete Hardie board and batten and lap siding, new black 6” gutters with tubular leaders and topped it off with custom white stonework!! We could not be happier!!! My wife and I received several estimates from other reputable contractors and Carpenters Touch was right in the middle price-wise. Junior was on sight everyday and made us feel at ease through the entire process, many of Junior’s craftsmen/carpenters have been with him 10-15 years and it shows in the pride they take in their work. This the third major project I had Carpenter's Touch do for me. Previously he replaced my roof and both decks. This time I had my drafty bay window and 7 additional double hung windows replaced. When done window shades were reinstalled and curtain rods reinstalled. I love the fact that he has a back office that keeps track of scheduling and billing flawlessly. Contracts are well written and detail exactly what will be done and list out potential extra costs. Junior's gang comes in and wastes no time ever setting up, doing the work, and then cleaning up. They show up when they say they will come. When they leave it doesn't look like a major construction project just finished and there is no colateral damage.

I used the Carpenters Touch to repair my deck and I couldn't be any happier with the results! Junior and his company were responsive, reasonably priced, and did some really phenomenal work. I highly recommend Carpenters Touch for any of your general contracting needs and know that you'll be as satisfied as I currently am if you go ahead and use them.

This is the 2nd time I've used The Carpenters Touch for a project. The first was to replace my roof and they did a great job. I decided to have them quote a kitchen renovation project. At first I was unsure if they had capability for interior work but I trusted Junior and his team enough to give them the job.
As you can see from the photos, they did fantastic. The scope of work included new electrical, plumbing, flooring, drywall, paint, countertops/backsplash, and cabinet install. The project took about 2 months to complete and the cost was fair. The team is hard working and Junior kept me updated on the progress. They even came back after the project was long over to fix an issue with the kitchen cabinets (which was the the fault of the cabinet manufacturer).
There were some unexpected issues (i.e. scheduling conflicts, permit/inspection delays), but all large projects have hiccups, and Junior has experience to handle it all.
I'd recommended Carpenters Touch for any home renovation and I plan to use them again in the future.

We hired Junior and his team to do an entire exterior renovation. It included a new roof, skylights, siding, windows, gutters, porch columns and railings. They showed up every morning on time and ready to put in a full day of work every single day, including Saturdays, until the job was done. When they had to be inside the home for the window replacements, they were careful to make sure everything was covered and cleaned when completed. They made sure the outside was kept tidy over the few weeks they were here working. The few issues that did arise, Junior and his team addressed timely and fairly. We could not be happier with the final product!! Junior was recommended to me by a friend, and I would recommend him as well!

After discovering my roof had a water leak going into the bathroom, I contacted Jr. with "The Carpenters Touch." Jr was able to pass by and inspect the the damage. Jr explained to me what needed to be done and reassured me it would. Within 24 hours he had a team of guys repair the roof leak and replace the sheet rock and insulation in my bathroom. Then Jr told me to go and pick out whatever paint I wanted and one of the guys from his crew came by the next day and finished the sanding & paint. It looks like nothing had ever happened. The crew was very respectful and careful when entering our home with supplies. I really appreciated that from them. (Very happy customer)
I truly thought I was going to need a new roof but Jr was honest and explained to me that my roof was fine and probably had another 7 to 10 years left before I had to replace it. Anyone else would probably have had us digging into our savings.

Junior and his team did a good job. Junior and Diane were very thorough doing a walkthrough for the estimate and put me in contact with a vendor to remove my asbestos siding before installing Hardie. The estimate was very detailed and through with pictures which other contractors did not provide.

The job involved a new roof along with Hardie siding and a new front door. They were fine with timing my project as I was waiting for a few windows to be installed and delays getting a new door. My project was a bit more difficult because I was having another vendor do stonework after and I also wanted to add ductless AC the next year (Hardie has certain specs about what can happen after it is installed- size of holes, etc) so a lot of prep and coordination had to occur with those contractors and Carpenter’s Touch. So, I had to stay on top of things and the team a lot just to make sure it all came together. Team was professional. Other vendors came for gutters and painting of foundation but through CT. Worked diligently through the days. House looks great. Before and after shots provided. Junior or Diane always returned my calls promptly. Thanks!

It was a pleasure working with Carpenter's Touch. We met with several roofing companies and found Carpenter's Touch to have the most knowledge and experience replacing a roof with solar panels. We found Diane, Brenda, and Natasha to be very helpful and answered all our questions. We had to schedule a solar company to remove the solar panels, so Diane was very accommodating with our timeframe. Junior and his team did an excellent job as well. It took two days for the roof to be replaced. The gutters and skylights were also replaced. Highly Recommended!

Carpenter's Touch did an awesome job with our re-siding project. Luke and Diana were organized and transparent in their quote, and Junior did a great job getting our project across the finish line. Our older house (early 1900s) had a number of rotten wood elements that required special care and attention. Junior and his crew laid out a clear plan to repair/replace these items included in their quote (something other companies were not able to provide), and did a great job delivering on their plan. In addition to our siding project, Carpenter's Touch was also able to coordinate painting and electrician services. Their painting and electrician subs did a great job, and we were very happy with the level of coordination and oversite Junior and Diana were able to provide. Overall, would highly recommend.

I have work with many remodeling companies before and always a problem or over charging but once I find carpenters touch all my headache when away love working with them and they do a really flawless job always great price I recommended them to anyone who’s looking to do any upgrades to they property with someone you can trust

As an owner of a Restoration company, most assume I have a long list of reputable roofers. Even to my surprise, that's not the case. When my kitchen started leaking i called everyone I could. The first roofer told me there was no leak, only to have more water come in the next rainy day. The second tossed tar and everything he had in their truck and after 2 weeks and 3 visits i decided to call Junior. It’s been such a pleasure working with Carpenter’s Touch for our siding replacement project from start to finish. About 3 years ago I had Carpenters Touch replace my roof. They were awesome. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a piece of siding that got loose that when I climbed on my roof I found it was just out of reach and I wasn't interested in climbing any higher. I checked and Carpenters Touch does siding, so I went back to them.

With in a day or two, I had an estimate emailed to me for approval. Once I sent it back, the next day they called me to schedule the repair. It was a fairly simple job and was only going to take a short time, so they were able to fit it in their busy schedule.
Junior told me they would be out at 11am, and sure enough at 11, they were at my house and the repair was done.

I cannot say enough about my positive experience while working with The Carpenter’s Touch over the past years. I initially had my roof replaced in December of 2016, and the outcome was exceptional. My most recent encounter was more detailed because I was preparing to sell my home. Due to the arduous task of satisfying the necessary requirements of numerous inspections, a great deal of work was needed on my home prior to the sale. The Carpenter’s Touch was able to handle a large portion of the work including the installation of a Bilco door, basement windows, additional roofing requirements, and asphalt and siding repairs.
My choice to use The Carpenter’s Touch again was due to my prior experience working with Junior and the rest of his team. Communication and professionalism was always courteous and timely. This was especially important to me because I was living out of state and having to rely on the process of handling repairs for my home from a distance. Perfection plus. The owner came and measured the skylight opening 3 times. The result is they fit and work perfectly!! Carpenter's Touch came in the morning and were finished mid afternoon. My experience with Carpenter’s Touch was amazing!Carpenter’s Touch renovated my kitchen and was completed on February 17, 2019. Junior promoted cooperation to ensure the job’s deadlines were met. I had a "1980 Olive Garden Kitchen" Now I have a Modern Kitchen which my husband and I love! I’ll be honest, I was a little hesitant at the beginning because of the demolition. I dread a messy job! Junior clearly communicated his ideas and thoughts that actually helped me to move forward with the project. The demolition went smoothly without any mess. His team covered every door with a plastic that had a zipper which allowed me to have access to the rooms. This prevented the dust from moving throughout the house. By the end of every day they made sure that everything was left clean and ready for the next day. They began each day fully refreshed and prepared for any challenges.

The Carpenter’s Touch were one of the best contractors we had on the construction of our new home. We were looking for quality materials with best in class installation. After receiving recommendations to call Junior from many sources, we gave him a call and we were blown away by his professional approach and commitment to making us happy. The team installed a Camelot shingle roof with copper valleys to our Tudor style home. They also added the finer touches to the project including copper snow breaks and 6” round gutters and downspouts. After the roof was complete, we worked together to design a siding application using Canadian cedar from Maibec to accent parts of the home. Again the team came through with some finishing touches by adding James Hardy boards and siding to our doors/windows and gable peaks. We highly recommend the Carpenter’s Touch for your next home update, renovation or new construction. You will not be disappointed.

This is the second time within 3 and a half years I hired The Carpenter's Touch to do a job for me. Both jobs were absolutely fabulous. The first job Jr. and his crew did for me was a deck. The deck is an absolute masterpiece and I am very happy with it. The next job was to complete some remodeling work on an investment property I purchased. Again, the work is superb. I had two storage units built in the basement, the boiler cased in it's own room, the basement floor, ceiling, and walls painted along with other things. From the initial phone call to the finished product- every aspect of working with Carpenter’sTouch was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. I needed all 3 sliders in our home replaced. Liza scheduled the appointment- Junior showed up on time and quoted reasonable prices with options. Once everything was ordered they kept me updated regarding the delivery. We started using Carpenters touch a few years ago when we began building custom homes. So when we were looking for someone to install Hardie on our own new home we knew we needed Juniors crew. He completed our New Roof in record time and then a few weeks later he installed Hardie planks and shakes on the home.

I am writing this review on behalf of my grandmother. She was very impressed with the service she was given by Carpenter's Touch. The employees were very professional. They installed two bathrooms in my grandmother's house back in January of this year. They arrived on time and always cleaned up after themselves. Any revisions to the project by grandmother were implemented with haste. They completed the task on the date they originally estimated they would do so. My grandma was so happy with the results that she invited everyone in the family to see it. When I came to see it, it was neat and professionally done.

The team was very professional and went well above and beyond my expectations. Junior provided a very detailed quote and fair pricing. He was very pleasant and well versed in his craft and takes pride in his work. The work was completed within the time frame andthe quality of work was excellent. I would use them again for future projects and gladly recommend the whole team fully.

I had some difficulty finding a siding contractor qualified to install Hardieboard on the house we are building. Our builder wanted to charge a ridiculous amount. Carpenter’s touch provided a very reasonable estimate and did a beautiful job not only on the Hardie, but on the stone veneer accents as well. Junior and his crew are very professional and accommodating. Our builder was also very impressed with their professionalism and product.

As an educator, I am meticulous on the detail and the effort a person makes. The Carpenter’s Touch is hands down THE BEST contractors to hire when it comes to detail and effort. They exceeded our expectations and demonstrated patience and honest recommendations when making decisions on the materials and colors to use for our house. Update (June 26, 2021): Last week, a tractor trailer truck got caught on the wires that is connected to our house, and detached the siding.
Thankfully, and within 2 hours, two workers from The Carpenter’s Touch came through and fixed our damage. Our house looks brand new again! The Carpenter’s Touch, once again, got the job done in a professional and timely matter. I strongly recommend this amazing company!

We used Carpenters Touch to redo a section of our roof that was leaking. During the job, they identified the underlying issues with how the original roof was done that was causing us problems for years (e.g. inadequate ventilation and condensation). While the additional work led to an increase in the overall cost of the project, they documented the issues with pictures and were able to do the additional work at the same time. The job was completed on time.

In terms of logistics, there was some back and forth needed to pin down the precise date they were going to start. We also had to follow up with them to get the dumpster removed in a timely manner. But, these were pretty minor issues.

Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

I used them again to replace a leaky skylight. They came to look at the leak within the hour and were able to replace the skylight the very next day. Couldn't be happier to have this done so well and so promptly

The Carpenter's Touch installed new flooring on our second floor and redid our fireplace. We are very impressed with the job that Junior and his crew did. We sent him a picture of a fireplace that we liked and they were able to fabricate a new mantle and surround that matched identically. They also found quite a bit of water damage behind the wall above the fireplace from an old leak when they were doing the work and they repaired all the damaged wood. Even with the damage repair, the job came in on time and was reasonably priced. The new floors upstairs are great as well. We had the creakiest floor ever, but Junior's crew screwed down the existing floor put plywood over it and glued down the new floor and now we can't hear a peep. As an added bonus, his crew handled moving the furniture upstairs, which made life a lot easier. They also did a fantastic job cutting the floor to fit a lot of weird little spaces that we have in various closets due to ductwork. His guys were on time, respectful, professional and they did a great job cleaning up when they were done. Overall, we are very happy that we went with Carpenter's Touch and would recommend them to anyone.

We have now had a few projects done by the Carpenter's Touch, including our roof and our basement ceiling. Junior has been really responsive and the crews that he had brought in have been great. At this point we go right to the Carpenter's Touch for all of our home improvement needs.
