S.W. Collins Co. - Lincoln

Nice enough staff and prices are in line with other stores but don't count on them having what you need in stock even when you call ahead and they say that they do. I've been shoping the Lincoln store for a couple of years. I always call ahead to make sure they have what I need cause the ride is over an hour round trip. First incident I got there and they didn't have what I called for even though they said they did, second incident I called and reserved the items, got there and no stock. Called this morning and reserved 20 sheets of durock, got there 45 mins later and was told it was reserved to someone else. Strike 3 I'm out. I'll never travel to do business with this store again. I loose time I loose money, not to count the cost of fuel. As I said nice enough staff they just don't seem to know how their own business sytems work or don't care.

it is a well stocked hardware and lumber store but their prices are high to the point of seeming predatory. There is not much else in the area as far as lumber and hardware ...
but the prices dont need to be this high. 50%+ higher than Lowes for some items, like quikrete for example.

I live in NH and was doing renovations on a camp in northern Maine. I was planning to buy several. items in a big box in NH and bring them with me. I decided to compare prices with SWCollins, as my pickup was going to be heavily loaded. I was pleasantly surprised that the pricing was very competitive, and many items were actually less . It was much more convenient to pick up materials as I needed them rather than having to work around them Employees are very engaged and helpful.

Good store lots of choices. They have a drive through lumber yard that is nice but I sat there for 20 mins without anyone helping me unfortunately.

First time I've ever been in this location or any S.W. Collins location. I know they are a rather large regional chain here in Northern Maine. This particular store is huge, well stocked and the staff is friendly + helpful. Working on a larger review and perhaps one of the other locations.

There is a guy who work there he is very nice and perlite and help out an way he can his name is moose

Generally have what you need for both hardware and lumber. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Greated by everyone we came in contact with as we shopped. Very neat, clean and organized place to shop. We drive along way because of the assistance you offer your customers. Also, I asked about a bench vice that was not in stock...and before I left I had a printout of the vice...so I ordered it. Thanks!

I ordered 2 pallets of pellets from them to be delivered the following week. I was told it would be delivered in the early afternoon and someone will call before they came. I was also told that they would have a fork lift, so I could have the person put it where ever I wanted. Well, no phone call on the day, and they show up at 7pm. No knock on the door, or ring of the door bell. I would never have known they were here if my father in law hadnt taken the dog out at the time he was here. He had already unloaded one pallet right in front of the garage door and asked if that is where we wanted them. My father in law said no and went to get me. By the time we got back, he had the other one right next to the first, loaded up his fork lift and left. If they can not get the one basic thing right that they had said, I doubt they can get anymore of my business.
