This firm is amazing, combining cutting edge technology with old world craftsmanship and skill. They recently completed a year round Conservatory facing the water in Maine which I have told them they should submit to Architectural Digest. In addition they have done a great deal of remodeling work in the house itself, which involved a highly complicated matching of timbers and panels which they did brilliantly.

Unlike certain other firms, if they say a project will be finished on a certain date you can be sure it will be, even if they have to work weekends to make up for the latest Nor'easter. As Tom says
'our goal when we finish is to make it appear as if we've never been there.' I can not recommend them more highly.

I have contracted Sunspace Design on three different occasions, first to correct errors on an existing house constructed by other builders, a second time to build an entire house and a third time to put an addition on that new house. I was completely satisfied with their performance and the final product on all three occasions. I found them responsive to my needs, knowledgeable in answering my questions and willing to work with me whenever I wasn't completely sure of what I wanted. Each step was discussed in detail prior to execution. Progress was on schedule. Communication was always quick and easy. Quality of construction was impeccable. I would recommend them for all your building needs.

Who would have thought a single room could make a house? Our breakfast room by Sunspace Design did just that. The workmanship and design elements totally complimented the rest of our home. We could not be happier with the final result!

We chose Sunspace Design over other companies because we wanted a custom sunroom- not a one-size-fits-all outfit that assembles pre-made components. They carefully listened to our wishes, and designed just what we asked for! They also made helpful suggestions to give us a unique room, complete with varnished mahogany ceiling beams and an all-glass roof. Their workmen are professionals with many years of experience- not easy to find these days when anybody with a hammer can call themselves a carpenter. They strategically used cedar in places to assure no rotting wood in the decades to come. When we asked for changes along the way, they had the experience to know how to accomplish it. We highly recommend Sunspace Design!!!

We couldn't have been happier with Sunspace Design for the ridge beam skylight they provided us with for a project on Martha's Vineyard. The application posed several difficulties that most other skylight companies were unable to contend with, but Sunspace was able to meet all of our needs. The main challenge was the 2:12 roof pitch we were trying to match with the skylight and the goal to do two large bays of glass on either side of the skylight ridge beam instead of four or six bays. Sunspace was also able to use the finish and flashing material that matched the house, creating a seamless transition from house finish to skylight finish (interior & exterior). With a minimalized frame to glass ratio, we were able to achieve our goal of the sky being what you see when you look up, rather than the framing. It is beautiful!

We purchased a home with a greenhouse room that eventually needed to be replaced. We were uncertain where to turn and interviewed a number of contractors. Eventually we hired an architect who helped us choose Sunspace design. We are so glad we did! They built a beautiful, watertight room with a soaring roofline - a space we enjoy everyday.
