My experience with buying a Toyota at Stones Auto Group in Rexburg was great. Nick, the salesman, was informative and very, very helpful. The entire team ensured that I received excellent help throughout the test drive, purchase and pick up of my new vehicle. Pricing was good, and no haggling! Wonderful experience.
We broke down on our road trip in Rexburg and when calling mechanics they seemed very honest. They couldn't promise it'd get fixed that same day but I still felt better leaving the car there with them. In the end they were able to fix our car and get us on our way that same day. The technician, Nick, even wrote us a little note wishing us safe travels and some details about the fix/problem.
Very glad we ended up trusting them with fixing our car.
Michael was great to work with. When the truck I wanted was sold before I was able to buy it he went out and found exactly what I wanted. He followed up with me and kept me informed of when and where the new truck was. I was impressed! One of the best experiences I’ve had buying vehicle! Everyone at stones was great!
When we arrived we were not bonded by an unrelenting sales associate. We were kindly greeted by Curtis. He gave us a quick rundown of what’s on their lot and let us be (which we like). Any questions we had he was attentive and kind. Any answers he didn’t know, he immediately found out for us. Everyone at the stones was kind and very personable. I am so happy with my experience here. Hunter Day wasn’t your stereotypical car salesman. My husband and I went in thinking we knew what car we wanted and after the test drive, we decided it wasn’t for us. Trustworthy even with out of town customers! Passing through and thought I was having a brake issue. LS down the road about 20 minutes said my rear brakes were at 2mm and quoted me around $700 for calipers/pads/rotors. I always get at least 3 quotes on any work When these techs checked out my brakes they found them to be at 7mm. I didn’t even need brake pads! Saved me $700 and didn’t try to upsell me anything. Service advisor was very polite and worked me in even without an appointment. I was not expecting that to be possible!
We worked with Jai Gill, a new salesperson at Stones Toyota. I told him a month ago about a hard-to-find Highlander that I would be interested in buying if they get one. He texted me moments after they received it, brought it to my home for a test drive and made it easy to buy. He saved me a ton of time and hassle. Honest, fair and up-front transparent pricing. Rob Call the Sales Manager was available and also awesome to work with. He gave me confidence they would take care of us if we had any questions or issues down the road. Rob has decades of experience with Toyota and Stones. Cameron Loveland was the Finance Manager and he was great to work with. He didn’t make us feel bad for paying cash and presented great offers for extended warranty, windshield protection (no-brainer in Idaho) and was low pressure and transparent. He gave us free car washes for eternity. East Idaho is lucky to have a Toyota dealership with local ownership and great employees that care. Highly recommend.
We came in excited about getting a new car and had a specific car and features in mind. We had looked at a lot of places, but not only did we find a way to get the car we wanted, but loved the feel we got working with Hunter.
Hunter was not pushy like other places. His goal seemed to be on getting us what we wanted, and what would work best for us! Hunter Day guided us through the entire process and made everything so easy!
He even updated us by texting when the car had shipped and kept letting us updated on exactly where it was until it got here. He made sure it was ready for us as soon as possible. We just purchased a Grand Highlander hybrid….from a different state! We worked with Hunter and he was super easy going, fair, and organized. I’m coming from Utah to buy a car with them and it’s worth it. They got the car that I’m looking for and I’m satisfied with the deal they give me. Plus, everyone including the manager was very accommodating to me. The sales manager Jesse picked me up from the bus stop, the half-Korean finance manager as very thorough with all the extended warranty and help explained all the paperwork jargon, and the salesman Nick was being very helpful with helping me connecting my phone to the car and going through all the features in the car. Overall, great experience, highly recommended!
Some minor things we would have appreciated but overall a great experience. I do think they should stop putting vinyl stickers on the car when it's sold... It's mine now, don't touch the paint. Next time just leave it as a license plate, don't add the sticker.

Just purchased a used vehicle. Car tires had a back left tire over inflated to 45 psi, while remaining tires were at 32. Either people were negligent or trying to cause car issues. I’m very sad as the sales rep was wonderful. Rest of experience makes me never want to use stones again
These guys will rip you off, and have no care for you, your family, or situation. I bought a truck from them November of 2024. As I was in desperate need of a vehicle. They assured me everything ran fine and it was a reliable vehicle. My trust was misplaced. After further research, they had sold me an $11,000 truck, priced at $20,000. A month into owning the truck, the transmission began overheating after 30 minutes of driving at 65-70mph. Would even get hot at lower speeds. No mechanic could diagnose anything as it wouldn’t throw a code, making my warranty obsolete. Fast forward to June 2025, the transmission overheated faster and more than it has. Warnings popped up saying to service transmission, ABS, and 4WD. The truck would no longer shift, and is now stuck in my apartment parking lot, and will not start. Now I have a broken down truck, no money for a mechanic to tell me nothing is wrong with it because there’s no code, and I owe $18,000 loan on a truck that doesn’t work anymore. And I won’t bother asking stones for help because I signed as is papers, so they wouldn’t help me anyways. Take your business and hard earned money elsewhere.
Nick and the finance team were fantastic to work with. It was a refreshing experience dealing with a smaller dealership compared to the mega-dealerships on the Wasatch Front. After comparing pricing and dealer fees, I found that Stones Toyota was $1000-$1800 less on nearly identical Tacoma builds. If you're in the market for a Toyota, I highly recommend reaching out to Nick--it's definitely worth the drive!

Was looking for a diagnosis for an issue on my Toyota and figured bringing it to a dealership would be the best place, especially one with this many great reviews.
They had my vehicle for 3 hours. I had described the exact issue and that it had only happened on the highway, but they never even took it on the highway that entire time and told me that I’d need to bring it in another time in order for them to have it longer next time because they couldn’t figure it out today.
I also took the shuttle home which is a 5 min drive. I was locked out of my apartment because I didn’t have my keys and called right after I realized, they said oh yeah we will send someone with your keys for you! They never sent anyone until I called 30 min later and was told you can just get your car now. Very frustrating as my wife missed a class she had to teach because of this.
Update: Spoke to a manager and the issue was a new service guy did not write down some important information for the tech, which is the cause of the main issue. Apologized for the shuttle and never sending someone. Will be going back next week and hopefully get it figured out now.
Update: Called on multiple occasions about my appointment and never got an answer during open hours. Gave up and went somewhere else. I don’t think I was a priority given the free service offer just in order to change my review.

Stone's Toyota is hands down the easiest Toyota dealership to work with in the region - not just east Idaho. I purchase cars nearly every year. And while most of my purchases are higher end vehicles, this one was a Tacoma for one of my businesses. From start to finish, I've never had an experience this no nonsense before, and on a vehicle in this price range. Go to any other Toyota dealer within a 4 hour drive of Idaho Falls and you'll be jumping through hoops with test drives, negotiations, financing, "upselling", etc. Not here. My schedule is nuts, so everythig I did was over the phone, text and email. When I took delivery, I was there for a total of 30 minutes. And that included the walk-through. They aren't the largest Toyota dealer in the area, but who cares. You're buying your next car, not an equity stake in a car dealership. If I need another Toyota, I won't even consider going anywhere else. Anyone who knows me knows that's saying a lot.

Everyone we communicated with at Stones was great to work with. This was our family's first experience buying a brand new car and it was nothing but positive. I don’t usually look forward to visiting a dealership—it’s always been a bit anxiety-inducing for me. Just being honest.
But this time was completely different! From my very first phone call with Nick (Salesperson) to meeting him in person, I felt genuinely welcomed and at ease. Nick was a breath of fresh air—personable, patient, and a great listener. Within an hour of my call, he found me a great deal on a new RAV4 without any of the usual back-and-forth or pressure to upsell. Instead of treating me like just another sale, he took the time to have a real conversation. Turns out, we both love golf and good food! I really appreciated that personal touch.
Finally, a salesperson who didn’t treat me like a sale.
If you’re in the market for a new car, I can’t recommend Nick enough! He’s earned my business for as long as he’s selling cars. (And sorry again for calling you Mike haha.)

What a fantastic experience my wife and I had. Hunter and Michael did an excellent job tag teaming helping us aquire a Prius to lease. Bought a car here last week and it was the best experience yet at a dealership. I had spent the weekend prior talking to other dealerships in the area between Pocatello and Idaho falls. All of them were being pushy stereotypical salesman.
These guys at Stones treated me well. They were not pushy and they were upfront with everything as well. I did show up close to closing because of work but they were nice and stayed late. Even let me take the car home overnight to look the car over in my garage. They negotiated fairly when I brought up concerns. They also made the paperwork process easy to. No hidden fees or fake add ons.
Nick was the salesman I worked with. I would recommend him and I will be back the next time I’m in the market for a car. If Nick is still working there at that time I will work with him again. Found him to be a real straight shooter.
